- A couple of months back we replaced every single bushing and ball joint on this pickup front and rear. We also replaced the shocks, the only thing we didn't replace were the worn out 37 year old torsion bars. We did some research and ran across SwayAWay. After installing them we noticed a big difference in handling.

@@OXCFilms I also have a 1990 2wd that my grandad drove for 25 years. Then is high school he gave it to me. I drove it for another 5 years then parked it. It has over 400k on it. Love my mini trucks man🤙

You said the rear of the torsion only goes in one way. Is the front the same? Great video bro! And I like that camper!
Reason I ask I had my lift kit removed and stock torsion bars put back in, but now when the torsion’s are tightened up all the way the truck is still sitting on bump stops.

The front also had a missing tooth where the torsion bar goes, so we matched that with the missing tooth on the torsion bars. They might be put on backwards.
I figured it out my man the shop installed them wrong but thanks to your video. I did it correctly in my driveway. You’re awesome dude!

Yes big difference. The ride quality improved

Awesome detailed video. Few questions as I just ordered my set. How long did it take you to install? Did you have to lower the control arms or other suspension parts? And real dumb question but what side is left and what side is right? Thanks!
Thabk you! The installation took about 40 minutes. Nothing else had to be removed besides the torsion keys and the small brackets that are in the way. On the torsion bars there is a L for left and R for the right side
