Yeah that definitely hard cover for the black hammer series looking very cool I love the series so much I mean I never thought that the series will take off so big that it's now this huge franchise.
It was breathtaking to look at the superheroes that are inspired by other heroes and really talk about how the job that they do can at times make them feel lonely depressed even just outkast in a world that they were trying to save and also being teleported to this strange place and only being able to go around the town in a 10 mile radius was very fascinating and really cool to see how having all those spin-offs really tie into the main story even with black hammer kind of going through its third phase with black hammer rebirth it's still astonishing piece of work that Jeff lemire has created.
I really hope with that I get it gets in an adaptation for a series or something because really a movie wouldn't do it justice I think a series and maybe a few miniseries tie-ins as well
I'm reading Black Hammer for the first time and I'm simply amazed. Feels like WATCHMEN for a new generation. Absolutely LOVE Colonel Weird. Insane.

Dark Horse was my first major publisher that I got into as a kid... Star Wars Aliens, Concrete ect... but I have no new content from them since Ive been collecting omnis/prestige. Black Hammer looks good... are they any other Library Edition (from other series) that are still available.
Some of the Hellboy library editions are tough to find at times but they always get reprinted. Umbrella Academy recently got some new ones that are gorgeous as well!
You should try Lady Killer by Joelle Jones, maybe? Awesome Library Edition.
I've read the 2 main Black Hammer Library editions and thought they were great. Dean Ormston art was awesome. I just finished the Sherlock Story In the first half of the World Of edition and thought it was a little boring. David Rubins art was just awful in my opinion too haha. Great quality books.

What was the reason for Doctor Star being re-named Doctor Andromeda?
Jeff Lemire: I have been cagey about this because the honest truth is that there was a legal issue with the name and its similarity to another publisher’s character and there is very little I can actually discuss. But we worked it out very amicably with that other publisher and we agreed to change his name and costume a bit. Not any drama or anything, it was all very civil. The good thing is the name changed, but the story is exactly the same. And that original printing of Doctor Star trades and floppies will probably be collector’s items to a degree now, I guess.
This being Black Hammer, I do have a fun meta way of explaining the name change within the universe itself that will unfold next year in some new Black Hammer projects.
