If only Dark Horse gave BPRD, Abe Sapien and all the Hellboy spin-offs library editions just like Black Hammer. I really want the Hellboy Universe to have a consistent format like Black Hammer does.
Have you read Hellboy and Black Hammer? If so which would you reccomend more? Currently looking to get into something new and I have it narrowed down to these two.

If you want something much more expansive, then get into the entire Hellboy universe (my personal favourite being BPRD). They are pretty similarly paced, although I would say that BH's payoffs are much quicker while Hellboy(Mignolaverse)'s aren't.
Also, I firmly believe that Dark Horse puts out the nicest premium edition books, period. They are very well priced for what you’re getting also. Marvel and DC tend to overcharge the hell out of you and give you poorly bound crap.
You FEEL the dust jacket? You madman! I handle it carefully with special acid free polyethylene gloves that have been autoclaved for 4 hours. Imagine actually touching it with your skin....some people.
First time I heard of this series and I was immediately hooked. Omar you mad lad, once again thanks to you I am out of pocket for 3 volumes of excellent writing
I'm on a tight budget. Torn between purchasing this or Black Science. Think I'm going to purchase volume 1 & 2, skip World of Black Hammer for now. Thanks for the overview!

Great job Uncanny Omar! I think it's also an homage to Bronze Age b/c Anti-God is a riff on the Anti-Monitor from Crisis on Infinite Earths. I get it that World Library V2 will have the WW2 story and the Legion homage story and V3 will be the newest series (Colonel Weird and Barbalian); but how will they collect Skulldigger and Skeleton Boy? Will there be a World of Black Hammer Library Edition V4 with Skulldigger and JLA/Black Hammer? Did they change the title to Dr Andromeda b/c of legal issues with DC? Finally, I would rank Black Hammer among the top 10 of all comics from the past few years - not just Dark Horse.

I'm disappointed that the World of Black Hammer vol. 1 only includes the main cover for issue 1 of Doctor Andromeda. The main and variant covers for the rest of the mini are not in the book. I believe this must be because the emblem on the characters chest changed when he was renamed from Doctor Star. I wish they would have held off on the release until they could revise the artwork. This book doesn't feel as complete as the others.
I've never read it, and just recently ordered the library editions, basically based on a hunch and instinct :D Now I see I have probably done the right thing :D Thanks for the great video, Omar.
My world of Black hammer 3 arrived today. Was waiting on it before diving into vol 2 of the main series. It's bloody great is Black Hammer. Bit sad no ribbon on the world library edition

You have impeccable timing, I was just on Cheap Graphic Novel, and Instoctrades websites looking through the hardcover spin offs and wondering if certain ones were collected in "the World of" and you answered all my questions. One of the best ongoing series out there! Lemire built an awesome world and an awesome cast of characters. I’ve been collecting the trades, so I can’t wait for Barbalien: Red Planet and Skulldigger to come out!

Kinda off-topic but am pretty bummed there doesn’t seem to be Gideon Falls OHC on the horizon. I love that series and Sorrentino is just so amazing. But I love Black Hammer too 💕
Jeff Lemire is my favorite modern day writer (and I love his art as well, but I get why some people don’t), so I actually own all the trades and the library editions as well. I happily double dipped! I really hope Black Hammer/Justice League is in a World of Black Hammer LE eventually. Stinks seeing that it’s not on the 1st 3 solicits of World of, especially since the World of LE’s are pretty dang slim. Can’t wait for more of the main story! Thanks for the vid, my man. Algorithm gang! :)
my favorite series, the creators are in the zone! Simply fantastic, the art and writing are in perfect harmony. there is a certain sadness that carries through the Entire series especially doctor andromeda’s story.

You could read just Black Hammer Library Edition - Volumes 1-2 and that'd be fine, but honestly, you'd be missing out on some great stuff if you skip The World of Black Hammer Library Edition - Volumes 1-2. Doctor Andromeda is like the best story in the series. Phase Two kicks off with The World of Black Hammer Library Edition - Volume 3.
Just to let you all know according to Jeff Lemire's newsletter there will be more black hammer next year as in of the main line with Ornston

I would still read volume 1 then the world of and visions and then volume 2.

They just wrapped up Phase 1 and began Phase 2. There will be a third phase, but beyond that, no idea.
