For me black hammer has to be one of the best series ever written. Definitely the dynamic between the cast on the farm it just feels like a great family drama and yet Jeff Lemire and Dean were able to really capture the setting of them being trapped on this Farm and can't really Escape.
This has to be for the modern era today's Watchmen but in a different way. Like how watch me was dissecting and on how we really can't trust people who put on a costume and we also dissect on how they take the law in their own hands. And how messed up the job can get them to be that they're really truly these flawed individuals and we should really put our trust in those type of people because you see as the conclusion of that series on what they're willing to do for justice and to keep the peace while one of them at least.
Black hammer for meat studies the another aspect of it how really lonely and sad being a superhero can be if they don't know how to really manage their life and their alter ego and have a balancing act two or three of the characters actually did and they had fantastic lives but for the most of the cast members like Barb alien and golden Gail. You really see with them how their relationships really turned out and how really the job mess with their personal lives even though golden Gale in one. Of her life when she turned back into her adult self she just had several phases of she really thinks is it embarrassing to she can't really then she goes into the mindset of I really enjoy doing it because it feels like I'm young again because as she transforms into that little girl she gets to be young again then she gets into another. Of her life where she's like she's done with this she doesn't care anymore she just wants this to be over with and yet you see what on the farm she can't turn it to that old woman again and she can't really have a meaningful relationship with anyone at all.
That's for an example of how each dynamic character that are stuck on the farm really how being a superhero really takes a toll on you .it might not be able to be physical in might be psychological. it can be relationships it could be your fellow family that it just takes you away from it and it really it became real sad to see these heroes in this way how they we're being treated like that it was really a heart-wrenching series at times and tells you how the series is so brilliant.
That's why I say that it's the modern-day Watchmen like I say the same thing about the last 10 years prior about the boys even though they're talking about two different subject matters.

Dark horse makes great HCs
Love me some Black Hammer. The recent spin offs are fantastic as well.
Dark Horse library editions have such high production values. Their quality/price point just blow marvel/dc books out of the water. Do any collected edition comic company make better books than Dark Horse? I have both Black hammer library editions and can't wait to get the BH World of Black Hammer library edition shortly.

Alaa Wasfie Currently there are 9 TPB volumes, and I know Lemire has announced 2 more mini series, so there will definitely be more coming in the future. I imagine there will be more Library Editions announced next year!
Screw it im getting mines on Amazon. I waited a month to get my Thor Omnibus from IST. Ill pay more to get it in a few days

Tim Vega Based on the trends I’ve seen, it will likely come back in stock. Covid is the main culprit for delays in shipments and the general chaos these shipping companies seem to be facing
