Oooooooh, that's a great idea, I love it! 🙌😍 I'm sure that would look fantastic! I've been meaning to make a lined tote bag with this method as well.. perhaps using the mountain of selvedge edges I've been saving since forever 🤣
Well, I'd hate to be the reason for depriving your grandchildren of fabrics to play with, but needs must.. 😂🤭 So pleased you like this project and I hope you'll have a go! I'm sure they'll understand..😍😁
That is honestly the best feedback - thank you SO much for those kind words, I really appreciate them! You have no idea how much it means.. 🙏😍 I'm so happy to hear this little video inspired you and hope you'll have a go at making one. Have fun 🙋♀️
Oh yes, what a fabulous idea!! I might actually make one. And I’ve got some waterproof, wipeable lining leftover from another project. Thanks so much for sharing, I love it! ☺️🙌
It’s such a wonderful idea to use those little scraps that we can’t seem to be able to throw away, but are a bit tricky to use on other projects. I love how it turned out and I think I will try it once my sewing machine is fixed … I don’t know when it will be 🙁 💙💚🧡❤️💜🩵🩷🤎🩶♥️💛
Oh I wish you the best of luck with the repairs- I hope it’s fixable..🫣 It did sound pretty bad what you mentioned before! I would love to see how you might combine your magnificent hand stitching with some machine sewing- that would be a whole new creative world of textile art, no doubt! ♥️♥️♥️ Fingers crossed for you! 🙋♀️🧵🪡😍🥰
I’m SO pleased to hear you’re going to make one, yay! I’m sure it’ll be beautiful! Let me know if you have any questions about the process. Enjoy! 😍🙋♀️ And thanks so much for watching! 🙏
I really like using small scraps and wish to use them, however, I am not a fan of frayed. you could be the one to ask about using the little bits but with no frayed edges. do you know of a way? I would love to know or see a video please.
Oooh, I think I may have the perfect video for you ☺️ Have you tried ’crumb quilting’? I’ll link the video below. It’s basically how to turn lots of small scraps (‘crumbs’) into a new piece of fabric which you can then use for another project. I hope you’ll give this a go, it’s fun! 🙋♀️🪡🧵 th-cam.com/video/Oro0dfMDXbQ/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared

Love it ... very boho looking. I might try this but put bias binding on the edges.
That's a lovely idea with the bias binding! The perfect solution if you're not keen on raw edges. 👍
Have fun and thanks so much for watching!

Darling little thing! Are you using the same as batten?
I‘m so sorry, but I‘m not sure what you mean by ‘batten‘?
