    This is FAB. I was doing quite a bit of hand sewing back in June, outside in the sunshine. I had just put my best , gold tipped, red work needles in a piece of Aida fabric…… long story short….. I’ve lost ALL of them. I’ve searched and searched for them, to no avail and so your video has given me the inspiration to make myself a nice needle case …… more can follow for nice gifts. I’ve loads of embellishments and on Friday we are off to visit my son and his wife for a week……. tomorrow I’m going to assemble a few needle case sets for my holiday handwork. Thanks soooo very much🥰.

    If you zigzag stitch puckers, you need to adjust your tension and it will lay flat and behave. 💕🌞🌵😷

    Love the "little kits" you've put together. Having problems with organizing myself at the moment (probably the drought/heat), by God's grace I think this will help me get more done. Your work and fabric choices are beautiful, thank you 😊

    Beautiful project. I'm not a sewer or quilter, what caught my eye was your name. Same as mine and spelled the same too. So someone in state of Ohio in the U.S. has same monicker. What is interesting is that the pronunciation of mine is core..reen and people end up calling me core..rin.
    Beautiful work and project. Your personal needle holdrr is spectacular.

    I’m so impressed with your creativity and organization. The books are adorable! I was worried when you said your holiday was only four days that you would spend most of it sewing! I guess it’s better to be prepared with a project that you love than be twiddling your thumbs in the rain😏.

    Ok, I have watched your video twice, made my notes, and been shopping for felt. I've never heard of pallium, google says its a horse bit, and the batting was going to cost me $35 per meter, so I got some polar fleece for my padding. Now its time to prep my books ready to take away with me on my sewing trip in 2 weeks. I already have 5 projects to do, but this one looks fun, and I could do with a needle book. (You can never have too many project can you?)
    I'm pretty new to slow stitching, so again this project looks super fun...like junk journaling with fabric!
    Thank you.

      The polar fleece will be perfect. Pellon wadding is the product.. used in quilting.. I’m just using scraps left from my quilting days.

    Hi Corrine:
    Am looking at ways to make a needle book and your video popped up. Love your ideas and the covers are stunning. Teaching myself slow stitching and can’t wait to try this. • @tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine
      @tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi., the stitches won’t if you create the inside section with the pockets in place ..before attaching it to the cover.. having said that.. I have added pockets at the end of the process,
      just be careful not to push the needle thur to the covers.. keep your needle between the layers. Enjoy your journey stitching! Corrine

    @lorrainewilby2085 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dear Corrine, could you please explain what you mean by invisible stitching? Does it mean stitching every fabric, doilies, motifs etc onto background fabric before you use the embroidery thread? If so what stitch do you use? Tia, Lorraine

    • @tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine
      @tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes.. I use normal sewing cotton to stitch elements held by pins.. as it replaces them.. It’s a tiny stitch on the top of your piece.. but underneath the piece you can skip along an inch or two then push your needle back thur to the top to do another little stitch. On the top of your piece you can’t see that stitch (hence the word invisible) but when you turn your piece over you will clearly see where you have jumped all over the place!! Something your embroidery may not be enough to secure your lace and fabric so the process of invisible stitches just help to secure all the elements in your design. I hope that helps.. if you watch my Roxy journal of stitchery videos you will see me doing it all the time.

    • @tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine
      @tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah another word offen used is tacking but tacking from the quilting world is often big stitches which are then removed at the end of the project..in this slow stitching world little tiny stitches are used

    New to your channel. Loving your needle books. They’re so girlie and romantic! Is the felt you use on the inside made of wool or synthetic?
