I love your editing and formatting for the video. I think you missed some things though. There is a real estate play happening. These team owners buy up real estate around these new stadiums. They also offer real estate deals to major brands and entertainment companies. Lastly, Cuban has been lobbying to make gambling legal in Texas. He wants to co-own a casino adjacent to a new potential stadium. Jerry Jones made a similar play with his practice complex. Rea estate in a growing market. Lease and sell property AROUND the stadium to biz.
Man crazy , was watching this video and randomly glanced over the comment noticing how this chanel only has 800 followers . Crazy quality , while watching it I wouldnt have been surprised if this chanell had a few million
Market is more than the metro area a team plays in. For example the Warriors get fans in the San Jose area too adding some 4 million fans. And some star players and winning attracts an international audience. For example the warriors have far more international fans than the kings
Hey, I am looking through your channel. These seem Very High Quality. Please keep consistency up. This type of journalism is literally the best. It gives a Johnny Harris vibe, which is perfectly amazing because it shows the quality of this.
This is a really good video! Subscribed from your Godzilla video, and you followed up with this BANGER! Keep up the good work man, it's only a matter of time until you make it to the TOP!
So the “Market” metric is based off of the business environment of the surrounding area. Gold State has less people than Dallas but the area is much richer, hosting Tech and Hedgefund companies that power the markets, while Dallas has not as a developed and rich economy as the Bay Area. That’s also why the clippers are on there because LA is the 2nd biggest city in the US .
and they're doing it by design nba owners spends as much money as they could not only to make their teams overpowered but also to evade taxes because 80% of the teams valuation would be granted to the owners as tax deduction not to mention the incurring loses and expenditures so nba owners doesn't actually own a team to make billions in profit but to actually make billions in tax deduction
Very informative video, it makes perfect sense for companies to own teams. I think 30% is good number to keep their money wheel going into the foreseeable future. The 188 trillion dollar plan is gonna last a long time.
I am seeing these early games and there’s less people in the stadiums. Maybe it’s actually not like that? I am in South Africa 🇿🇦 and it’s hard to watch NBA games. It’s complicated for no reason.
Unfortunately football is like this too, teams are either owned by rich individuals or entire countries, no in between. Of course, the countries use them for sportswashing and propaganda too. The only companies that really invest are either tiny amounts (sports investment considered risky) or people like the glazers, whose entire business model is sports teams.
