i'll be honnest, i'm a go3 user, 90% of my videos are freeframe videos, short press on the camera, used on it's own, the action pod in my pocket. the simplicity is perfect, if i want to change something the screen is perfect to go deep into the changes. but as said 90 if not 95% of my shots, single press on the camera
i love the new go pro but the go3 is still smaller so i think i might go with that one , and the magnetic ...hmm the magnetic is the reason that i love the instago3 , if some has some tips to magnetic mount let me know
Biggest downside of the insta for me is the fact it dosnt transfer the date and time over when you download it to another device , it just gives you the date and time you made the transfer which I found irritating and would be a reason I may sell it , other than that it’s a very nice product
I had the insta go 3s. The battery life is terrible if you intend to record beyond 30 mins. My GoPro 10 overheats in the same time or less, both in 4k. I returned the 3s and bought the DJI 5 pro and it blows both out of the water with battery life. Doesn’t overheat.
I've got the new Hero, and I'd prefer an update to give it built in stabilisation. Also bought the hero floaty, and it's difficult to fit without pressing the shutter and filming yourself struggling with it! Taking the lens cover off to make it easier, doesn't help as you can't refit it once in the floaty. The camera though is growing on me and I'm making good use of it.
Thanks for the comment - When I tried to save my clip it prompted me to subscribe so maybe if I just download it from the app to my phone it’s free to use. I’ll take another look.
@@EatSleep360thats great Rich; I use it that way with gp 10 . Just ignore all subscription pop ups. Have you also tried the new gp 4K on 1080-setting? I wonder how long the battery lasts, I think this gp is great as “Dashboard cam” on the bike. Its estimated on 2,5hrs.
Out of the action pod I would say the go3s can take the most abuse, I have dropped this so many times with no problems. When in the action pod though I think it’s more vulnerable because of the larger screen especially if it’s open and the hero is more durable
4:38 the only reason anyone would argue that is if they were comparing it to the hero, which admittedly is kind of silly even though i searched for this video . ive never once thought "man, wish i didn't have control over what I'm recording."
As soon as you upload it in the gopro app, it’s automatically stabilized. Gopro app sofar can be used for free, you don’t have some fancy extra’s (like the gopro cloud).

Got the same issue with my x3...
Really annoying, need to use third party software to fix dates
6 months ago you said you were going to make a Insta360 Studio Tutorial. Where is that on your channel?

great comparison Rich! I'm a big fan of the insta desktop software so guess which camera I choose... :)

What does the GoproHero4K do, that the good old GoPro Hero Session5 has not been able to do?
Footage from gopro will be automatically stabalized when uploaded to gopro app, which can be used for free btw (not gopro cloud and fancier stuff).

@@cyclingjackthe shots on the bike were all 1080 but I haven’t tested the battery
And what about durability? Which of the two can take more hits, after all they are action cams, right?

I hope to purchase that Gopro since you are looking for a small camera for daily use. I hope Gopro gives it continuity
Great vídeo. Is it possible to Connect to external mic? I do have a go3s but doesn’t allow it to do so
No unfortunately not
Thanks, great review!

*Didnt know a tiny GoPro was out!*
the app for the go3 is EASILY the best app for any action camera.
I always watch my video's and also TH-cam on my Smart Tv 4K
Funnily enough I’m doing that now as well - it’s nice watching it on the big screen. How did you think the footage held up on a big screen?
if the hero has a built in stabilizer out of the box, it’s a no brainer for me.
Hopefully they’ll address this with a firmware upgrade - what really struck me was the closer shots and how much sharper they were

👍
Go pro will never make a good camera
Nearly double the price for the go3 s is wild.
GoPro > Insta360
that hero is 720p not 4k haha
It’s 4k - it’s just been released, not the old one
It is 4K …
