- I Know I Shouldn't BUT... Pretend I didn't and just fast-forward. Rain and moist conditions force us to switch from soybeans to corn. Unfortunately we discover way more #downedcorn than we anticipated. #winddamage

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Not sure if you will see this Zach, but I used to work for a feedmill in Wisconsin and my leg got caught in an auger resulting in amputation. If he needs someone to talk to that has gone through a similar experience, I would be glad to help.
In germany a farmer lost both of his legs I think it was about 6 weeks ago. Had a blocked auger in the hopper while unloading and they were trying to clear it...he slipped and got pulled into the auger with both of his legs. Medical team had to do the amputation on site, as they could not get him out.
Engine was running and auger still running, farming assistant was sitting in the cab, so the safety did not shut the engine off.
He is not gonna see this
@@camdenpletcher5724 Becky is taking care of the comments.
@@camdenpletcher5724he might if you like his comment and also comment back kind words instead of being a Debby downer
@@jake-cq7vv And I'm sure you are basing that on all of the personal interactions you have had with him.
He seems to be a good father, husband and son and by some miracle has a successful TH-cam channel.
If you are jealous, that is your problem. If you are bitter, that is your problem.
This is a decent family channel, try to keep it that way.
That sneeze at 5:10 really got me! 😆
Love how Dad uses the traditional yellow/red chore gloves. Reminds me of days spent farming with my Dad. ❤️
I use those predominantly as well, and they're just better than the others!
Sad to hear Zack, praying for the young man. 100% agree with all of you staying safe and I hope all of you have great success with your harvest.
Prayers said for Travis and his family. BE SAFE EVERYONE....
anyone else get excited when THE millennial farmer uploads a video when its harvest time AND it’s over 20 minutes? closest thing to heaven
Heaven?! I don't know about that 🤣
@@MillennialFarmersome of us that weren't able to carry the family farm flag appreciate the nostalgia, I know I do.
@f150tom
3 years ago in July just a week before my dad's birthday, him and my uncle that he farmed with we're cleaning out a grain bin to get ready or the upcoming crop in the fall. He went up into the grain bin and had all of his safety gear on. Unfortunately he never made it back out alive. They had to cut a hole in the side of the grain bin to empty all the green until they could find him. It just goes to show you that no matter how careful you are things can always happen. Thank you Zach for all your videos. It has definitely made me a huge advocate for grain bin safety. Although myself I will never use another one again as long as I'm farming.
Hopefully they figured out what happened to cause your father's death of which I am sorry for and someone can learn from it... I know things hurt in life but I hope that you in life learn from say for example an unfortunate fender bender car accident and become a better defensive driver instead of parking the car and never driving again... I'm sorry about your families loss i can tell you really loved him... best wishes
Be safe. Yes u fortionate. Sad deal for the family. Dreams are now shattered. Thanks for participating in the program for aid.
My God Bless this Family.
Zach your Father comes across as the nicest mild tempered man you’d ever want to meet. It’s great to see 5 and 4 working together so we’ll. Here’s to a safe and prosperous harvest!
Donated to Travis' gofund me, thanks for the heads up. With your platform, you can make real change. Good on you Millennial Farmer and family.
We made a manifold for our air system filter. Amazing what running multiple filters can do! We get better airflow and the filters stay a lot cleaner.
Thanks Zack again and again for explanaing what you do and how you do it, love the way you and your Dad get along as the best days of my life where working with my Dad, Dad has passed on and I miss him dearly so enjoy your time with Dad, be safe and we will be praying not only for the injured Farmer but for all expecially this time of year when it's so dangerous (from Canada)
You guys got some bad ass equipment nice and clean. Keep up with the great videos.
Prayers for the injured man. Keeping all farmers in my prayers 💕🙏🏼
Best wishes to that injured farmer. And also all the best for a successful 2023 harvest.
It amazes me how much you have to know ....about everything! Modern farming is soooo calculated. The amount of knowledge you have with all your various operating systems blows me away! Well done and much respect to you and your family!
I have always enjoyed watching your videos thank you for sharing
Praying for Travis and his family as he goes through his recovery. Thank you for bringing his situation to our attention.
Prayers for the young man and his family
Good old Millennial Farmer during harvest time as appreciated for a couple of years now. Keep it up! Thank you all the way from South Africa.
Nice of you to share the Go Fund Me.... Donated and I hope the man does well!
My thoughts and prayers go out to the young farmer and his family! Hate to hear about stuff like that and hope when all is done he can make a great recovery and be with his family!
All the best to the injured farmer. I hope he pulls through with as little damage as possible.
Glad to see you getting started. Prayers for a safe and profitable harvest. Prayers for the victim of the accident and his family🙏🙏
I hope you're crops improve. And I hope that young man heals and can keep farming!
Prayers and love for Travis & his loved ones.
5:10 bless you lol
Awesome!!! Another great video of harvestin thanks for sharing and bringing us along!!! You guys are Awesome Farmers !!!!
bless you
Love seeing your dad in videos he’s a legend
Zach thanks for getting the word out about the accident and the paypal account. That young man is going to need a lot of love and support for a long time.
Yeah, you can use an air compressor on an air filter, carefully; it's how it's done! Just do it from the inside out...😅
Hope you guys have great harvest! Stay safe!
"THUNDEERRRR" chills every time
Sorry to hear about the farmer, prayers to him and his family...
Thanks young man!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
Thank you, and be safe 🙏
Man, that is a good lookin' grain cart. Have a safe & productive harvest!
I think that new Thunderrr trailer underlines the complexities of being a farmer. The equipment that you have to have just to support the other equipment that you have and the knowhow to use it all. My hat's off to you Zach, your family and all the other farmers out there that keep us fed and healthy. Thank you.
Now I want to see how good his welds are 😂
I own a farm and there is no way I could purchase the equipment this guy does in a year. TH-cam must pay well
@jone8626 if you're referring to the trailer, I wrote a healthy check for it, and I consider it worth every penny for our operation. I'm not stopping any other farmers from starting a TH-cam channel.
@@andynev123987 it does, I recommend trying it for yourself. It's been life changing for my family, but it does take a LOT more work than anyone realizes
I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor.
Earlier this year, my neighbor lost his middle son due to a grain bin accident, he was only 42 years old. He was a volunteer firefighter for our township here in Michigan.
I have been praying for him and his family, a great cause and I hope only the best going forward!
Love you dad's gloves, My dad wore those same kind!!
Safe harvest to all
Nice way to start lunch! Watching you work...😂
5:11 bless you!
Bless you sir that was a big sneeze
Thanks for sharing about the tragedy near you and for the GoFundMe link. It was an honor to donate and help out this young family as their life has now been changed forever.
I’m late to the party but I’m quickly becoming a big fan of all of your videos. Thank you and all the farmers for your hard work and dedication.

Prayers for Travis that he has a quick recovery!!!
Prayers for Travis and his family!!
Praying for him and you guys also during harvest 🙏. Just remember slow down everyone needs to go home to family safely. 🙏
Please keep us informed on Travis. The video was awesome. thank you
Thoughts and prayers with him and his family

Awesome new fuel trailer and my prayers go out to that family during this very difficult time
I just put in a donation.
Prayers for Travis and his family.
What an amazing thing on gofundme, was over 92k when I last checked!!!!!
Prayers offered for that young man and his family.
Hey Zach, always enjoy watching you. So sorry for the down corn. We did that 2 years ago. Bummer!!
Also enjoy seeing Onyx. Miss watching him grow. He’s such a great kid.
Best wishes! God bless 🙏🏻😀👍
This is the craziest dream that Zach Johnson the golfer had ever had
“Golfer” 🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺
I bet he gets sick of people asking him how farming is going...
Zach is an actor. And actor that doesn't golf.
@@MillennialFarmer in spite of your challenges with flat corn etc I’m sure you’d take your position over his every day of the week 👌🏻
How is Jim? Anything we can do for him.
Whats up zach?! Glad to see your feilds be a success considering the low amounts of rain all year long. Have a good one and keeper between the rowes!
Here I north carolina we started cutting corn in Agusta ford dove season and now we're starting on bean next week and we're going to start planting wheat in a week
Glad to see harvest off to a fairly good start
If you need a ventilator for unloading Pits, Harbor freight has the ventilator fans and fabric vent hoses. Maybe not in the local store, but they ship well. Or transfer well. Confined space gas detectors are optional if you ventilate well and long enough.
Love your harvest videos and between the rows racing even more. Racing at Humboldt which I spent many Friday nights as a spectator is awesome! Laughing at myself and the evolution of equipment, had a 7700 two wheel drive with a 6 row corn head on and the rear tires came off the ground feet every time came to a stop
I'm a farmer in Nebraska. I sure enjoy your videos! 👍
Great video Zach! Be safe and update us on how Jim is doing sometime. It's not worth it getting in a hurry around equipment or bins. Anytime I hurt myself It's because I was trying to save time, cut corners and it bites me! Watch your pets around heavy machinery too! As they get older their eyes and ears aren't what they use to be.. Stay safe!
Jim told us last night he's feeling pretty good and wants to try doing some work next week!
Sweet! Hopefully there's a nice tractor seat he can be in for awhile@@MillennialFarmer
How is Jim doing really miss him being on your videos. I'm really enjoy watching these videos hopefully things continue to go well during this harvest working short handed. 🏁🍻
Love your video.👍❤️🇨🇦Prayers for the farmer.🙏.
God Bless that farmers family.
Having many friends who are farmers, I continually pray for them.
Was close with the Harmless Farmer (Andy Detweiler) here in Ohio who lost both arms at a young age from a auger shaft. Not just bins, make sure safety covers are on all equipment. Quick slips are everlasting. Stay safe farming fam!
So sorry to hear about the young man, just be careful during harvest guys.
Prayers for the gentleman and his family. We all need to be very very careful. Having been in a severe farm accident in the late 60’s. It happens in the blink of your eye. The Good Lord Was Not Ready For Me.
God be with Us All During our stressful time of harvesting 🙏🙏🙏
Prayers for the man who was injured. Another thing that should be added for the non-farmers. Watch out on the road, it's harvest season, lots of farm equipment on the road, drive safely and sensibly. Give the equipment and farmers some room.
Bless yaa!!!
Safety: for confined space ventilation, they have the special fans and fabric Hose at Harbor freight, set it up and clean up the Confined space ahead of entry and during the occupancy. Easy and Simple solution, and more comfortable with the fresh air. 😊
every time you do that, I have to wipe my desk and change my shirt!...lol
Moving the concave spacers will help with the ground up cob tips in the tank.
Thundeeeerrr!!!!! Don't forget! Have a great harvest!
Hey Zach, it has been a while since I watched a MF video, just sidetracked with other stuff, but I watched this whole vid this morning, and it was like coming back home. Good to see everyone is doing well, I will be watching all your vids again from here on. Have a safe and successful 2023 harvest!
I have watched him since he had 60k subs and i love what he does ! He is feeding the population ! Big respect need more people on this tough job !
We always ran accelerator in low speed in all crops, fed better, regurgitated less crop and split less seed!
Boy that corn harvest is quit an operation. Love watching that combine do the work. Very pretty John Deere combine. My wife thinks I am dumb for calling it pretty. Oh well!
Have a safe and great harvest Zach.
Saw a couple of brand new Thundercreek trailers going down the highway Sunday, couldn’t help but say “Thundeeerrrrrrrrrr” 😂
Bless you
Bless you LOL
Getting started on harvest always seems to have its challenges. Cherish the moment working with your Dad, I've lived more of my life without him than with him. Keeping the injured person in my thoughts and prayers. Despite our best intentions and careful work habits, accidents still can happen.
Red cuffs and yellow palms and fingers. The same glove I used over 60 years ago. Some things never chang
You're a good man for sharing that gofundme. I'm sure the difference it has .ade will give that family the support they need. Best of luck on your harvest.
Prayers for that man and his family.
We had an older farmer loose his life in a grain bin accident over this past weekend by us.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 to all our farmers and their helpers.
That's awful. I'm sorry to hear it
Thanks for another great video Zach and Dad. It was interesting.
Thanks for the update on the young farmer that got hurt very badly several weeks ago. Thanks for displaying the go fund me page.
Prayers to him and his family. With my blessings.
Your new combine is doing great in the corn. Appears to be a great machine. Go get that corn. Busy time now. Sorry you are having trouble with downed corn. Hang in there. Just takes longer. Still gets your corn in the bin bottom line.
Love your new fuel trailer. The updates are great. Having that welder and compressor and work bench and all that is great to have in the field.
Super nice fuel trailer.
Thanks for everything Zach and Dad. Take care and be safe please.
