- My first broken bone on EUC!
Hi,
Welcome to my channel for another little blog about my wheel.
Today the V14 in the wet. Still putting this wheel through the tests to see how it holds up long term. I bought this wheel to use as my wet weather roller and I’m sure a few others have so I’ll keep testing it and see how it holds up over time.
Everything except Grizzla Pads and Shredlights are stock on my V14.
I have been spending time on suspension settings a little more lately and planned to focus this video on how I have my v14 set up but it didn’t pan out. I’ll re shoot some suspension stuff soon and make a new video.
I’m typing this a little medicated and the edit was also a little cloudy. I took a nasty fall this vid so I’m at home licking my wounds for a while.
I’ve been told no wheeling… but we will see.
At least 4 weeks they said so maybe I can take a break…

Thanks for sharing 🥰
Note to self... don't ride on wet slimy wooden surfaces. Especially on a high-torque wheel.
I'm soooo careful when riding in the wet. I only do it for commuting (when I have to) and never for pleasure. But I'm a mature age rider and really can't take any chances. Recovery times are greatly extended for people my age.
Good notes :) I had rolled all morning and my confidence was high which brought me undone. I needed to pay closer attention to the surface I was on.I am not sure wood is the best choice for a bridge on a bike path. I will pay more attention next time, it’s how I learn :) thanks for the support.
Looks like a great wheel ... all the best and fast recovery brother.
Thanks for sharing, we all need times to times to get reminded not to get too confident. These are the small details that after happening we think if we could have prevented it by going just a bit slower. I share your pain. I am getting the exams to know whether I need surgery or not on my shoulder. 😅 not an EUC accident, but a trekking accident using old boots without the needed grip.
I always like your videos. You always share the joy of riding EUCs, with a positive tone even after having an accident.
Take care Josh and get back soon. 😉
Hi thank you for your channel. Watching from New Zealand, but still miss Australia a little bit. I would love to learn to ride an EUC. It's channels like yours that really inspire me. I hope your arm is better soon. Take care.
I love NZ! It would be so nice exploring over your way with a wheel. You should have a go at wheeling, such a great way to get around. Thanks for watching
@@eucaus You are welcome. You would love New Zealand on your wheel. I will continue to enjoy your content. 👍
Broke my collarbone and ankle while riding euc. Sucks man but I still won't quit
Riding these death wheels attach themselves to our souls🤣👍
Ouch! Sorry to hear you did that. I hear ya though still keen to keep rolling as soon as I can (typing with a mouthful of pain meds)
We just gotta hold on tighter
@@eucaus get well soon Bud! You'll be back rolling before you know it
Broke my right twice in crashes. Still road with broken ribs. Just very slowly. Lol.
Wishing you a fast recovery..!
Get well soon mate!
Thanks man
👍
Cheers Pat
Hope you have a quick recovery!
Heal up bro
Already working on it :) no time to be off the road. Thanks man
The guy who taught me how to ride fractured his collar bone like 3-4 times. First time he was doing 40 and hit a chunk of cement that came out the road and actually knocked himself out for a minute. The other times was going slow speeds and turning hard on a wet mud patch on the trail and another one on a sand spot, turning again too sharply. All the times these happen he was not wearing his upper body armor at the time. Also the first time he was wearing one of those TSG helmets that he no longer wears anymore and switched to a DOT certified helmet. Take it easy and get well soon.
The helmet is such a key upgrade! It protects such important parts of you. I have taken many head knocks and the Shoei helmet has absolutely taken the impact everytime. I have a TSG but I only rarely use it now, they look good but that’s about all.
I decided early on to have a motorbike mentality with this EUC stuff and to gear up the same way I did when riding motorbikes. If you make it a habit to gear up it just becomes normal. Gear has saved me so many times
cool vid as always bro and its always the slow slips and falls that do the most dammage looking forward to your next one
Thanks man, appreciate you watching. I’m keen to get rolling again asap
Ouch
Yes sleeping sucks :)
Love the dramatization animation and love your videos! Sorry that happened to you. I just recently fractured my wrist and I was wearing wrist guards too, but they were generic ones that came with the wheel. I would recommend to anyone that rides to invest in some good wrist guards especially if you mostly ride off road like I do. I'm still riding but I'm taking it easy - sort of 😅. Hope you heal up quick and get back to riding.
Good on you for gearing up but sorry you still managed to break your wrist :( All the gear helps but you can still get hurt geared up hey. At least with EUC you don’t need your hands to roll with, we can still do it slowly with our broken arms :) Thanks for leaving a comment, hope you heal well.
Bummer. On a lighter note, I see you are up to almost 2k subs !
hey Wabbit, good to see you. yea was one of those rolls!!!
Glad I still have my channel to keep me busy, I am stoked to be close to 2k. It stoked me to see it growing all the time.
Hope you heal quickly bro, i hated that tire. It slipped out on me a bunch of times off road.
I thought it was supposed to be a really good tyre especially for wet conditions? I even thought about ordering one for my T4, but they are pretty expensive.
@@JonahOnEUC
No tyre would grip on a slippery/slimy wooden surface.
The tyre is great, I like it. But yes this wet wood had green slime on it became like ice.
Agree with you @Jonah
@@misubisu except maybe snow tires? You know the ones that are designed for slippery wet conditions. The have softer compounds and many segmented lines in them.
Oof, welcome to the humerus but not humerous fracture club. Hope it heals well.
are you on off road tyres on all your wheels?
Yea all my tyres are stock
