      It's progressive. Same power requirement as a single wedge. I have built multi wedges and they are always progressive. I have a 3hp electric motor on my splitter and it splits everything.

    I worked at a pulpwood yard back in 71-72 in high school. We sold Stihl's and I learned how to work on them. IMO they are the best saw on the market. Hope you have a great year this year. Keep the Stihl.

    This SHO with the 12× is incredibly fast. I sell as fast as I can cut split and load so this thing has been a Godsend. What's more, the Box wedge is a super feature if you sell bundles.

    Chris, that's a great idea, making the log lift fold, and moving away from the expanded metal. So glad to hear you're doing that. It will make it better for storage and towing. Plus, the mesh tends to get dented with use. Great move! Hope change will be incorporated into mine! -R!

      @@RollingLogs21 I split mostly oak and maple. I use the four, six, and 12 way wedges. Currently I split around 8 semi loads a year and that is going up. For me the pro35 C is the best for me because it has tons of power and is in a smaller frame so I can easily move it around.

    • @RollingLogs21
      @RollingLogs21 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jacobwelle5578 Thanks for your insight Jacob! I'm not sure if you could push hardwood through the 12-way with anything less than the 35, so that makes sense. 8 semi loads, that's a lot! I'm thinking the 35 would be good for me because I will be splitting alone most of the time, and by the time I grab another round, she will probably have cycled through already (advertised cycle time of 8.5 seconds for 35C w/ autocycle & magnum for faster returns). Again, thank you for sharing!

    Those look pretty sweet. Congrats on the great American success story...garage shop to massive debt, lol. Been there.
    Why do you have to pull two levers to get it to cycle? What do those levers do? It looks like it handles stove length wood well. Does it notice fireplace length wood (18-24" as opposed to the 14-16" you were just doing?) If you are using the log lift I assume operator stands on other side? It would be crowded with a helper and operator all on one side? Hard to tell.
    Not criticism, just thinking of purchasing. I do love the bucking rack...

    • @WolfeRidgeSplitters
      @WolfeRidgeSplitters  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Robert the auto cycle is a double detented valve that uses 2 levers. Just like the auto return on a normal splitter, it detents both ways.
      18 to 23" wood works just as well with these machines. It has 24" stroke, so it works best to cut just shy of that so you can roll each round in quickly.

    • @melissamcelroy1264
      @melissamcelroy1264 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes a operator can stand on one side and helper can load ur log lift on other side or vise versa to get massive amounts of wood split in very short time. If you are going to always have a helper you may want to upgrade to the bigger bore option for faster cycle times. Auto cycle is awesome, throwing a round up there letting it split while you fill up the log lift
