      Do a overhand pass but make sure your fingers are strong enough because just because it's a float doesn't mean It won't hurt

    hello coach been really loving your content, learning a lot from it. Do you think you could a breakdown of a full set of volleyball from the perspective of a OH. How they move their decision making in rotation etc... could be very interesting and informative

    What I learned and picked up on when receiving a ball I made this format I don't know if some came up with this before just in case there is s person how did it before but out of the was the abbreviation is L.S.R(LEFT,STRAIGHT,RIGHT) it helped me alot when it comes to foot placement and passing the ball in games.

    As a coach, I find players with poor foot work (which is a hard habit to break) are the hardest to fix because you can't correct other problems until they solve their footwork.

    I just went to my first open gym with my high school team I am 6'2 so I am most likely going to be middle, but I know I have to keep my passing up so videos like this are awesome man, thank you.

      Welcome to the club man. I’m 6’ 1” but it so happened the best part of vb for me is blocking so being a middle is the best.

    • @frensj
      @frensj 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't let yourself be forced to the middle just because you are tall-ish. At 6'2 you can play pretty high level (or even highest level if you are really very good) as an outside hitter, but you can forget about that as a middle player. If your bump is good, insist on playing outside!

    Hey Coach, I just want to say thank you for these mistakes as a middle back But, I have a question. To work on my footwork is there anything I can do at home? I just want to stay focus on my position and the way I pass. It's something I struggle with a little..

    As a newbie setter I hate ultra high passes and can set the lower ones more accurately

    Heya coach, regarding the right foot forward mistake when passing. I can understand that. However my trainer used to say to have my right foot in front since you would have a wider motion for your arms to pass with. So my question is: what would be alright?

    • @VolleyCountrycom
      @VolleyCountrycom  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It all depends on what kind of serve is coming. My advise is for general (common) reception, but sure there are situations (long serve forexample) when it is beneficial to have feet in other position.

    hello coach, I have a pretty stupid mistake that I don't have the solution for that when I receive the ball sometimes my head go under my shoulders . my captain said that I make it because I am scared even though I don't . I will be grateful for you to help me out.

    • @VolleyCountrycom
      @VolleyCountrycom  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is good if you lower your head close to your shoulders, it will give you more flexibility when passing👍 On the other hand don’t do it too much, you need to see ball and the spot on your forearms where you touch and play it😉

    Can you make a video about height? What is the ideal height for positions? What could the height of a teenage volleyball player be in the future? (Example =6'0 in 14 years old can be ... to ... in the future. )

    • @VolleyCountrycom
      @VolleyCountrycom  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have made video about height potential, just search my channel😉 and ideal height for position is good topic👍

    • @frensj
      @frensj 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is no set height you will reach at age X when you are -some height- at age Y. You can look at your countries growth charts for an indication, but those are averages and since some people grow earlier than other or in a different tempo, on a personal level it will not give much accuracy.
      If you really want to have a good indication (+-1.5 inch) about your final height, maybe look into eg. the Greulich-Pyle-method. I know some people that did this and it turned out to be pretty accurate for them.

    I think the quicker pass is fine if it is a freeball instead of a serve/attack

  • @polcomiporcar

    I personally think bending your elbows on passing does not have to be necessarily worse. Actually, many of the best argentinian players play using it

    • @VolleyCountrycom
      @VolleyCountrycom  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is about opinion😀 I knew some great receivers which had always bent elbows👍most important is the result and reception😉

    • @panda4247
      @panda4247 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably similar to chess principles (like "don't bring out your queen to early", "control the centre",...) - they were created by strong players and strong coaches, they stood the test of time, and it's generally a good idea to abide by them... but if you know what you are doing, it is okey to break them.
      There are moves that only low rated players or Grandmasters would play (and only one of those group would know why), but not the middle of the field :)

  • @volleyball_argyn
    @volleyball_argyn 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    First: Wrong foot positioning(right foot on the left side,left foot on the right side)
    Keep your body and shoulders turned to setter
    Second:Passing with hands only
    Upgrade your mobility and footwork
    Third: Bending your hands
    Do not break your platform
    Fourth: Inaccurate reception for setter
    Reception should go 30 cm next to the net
    Fifth: Give quick reception
    It's uncomfortable for setters
    Sixth: Playing with bump of wrists
    Play with forearms

    i usually bend my elbows when im closer to the net cuz i have long and lanky ahh arms + it reduce the chances of my passes going over the net giving the opps a free ball😂
