I had one of these about a year ago. Ran it through a 4x12 with two (2) V-30's and two (2) Seventy-Eighty's. It would hardly push the 8Ω cab, and sounded very fizzy. I couldn't get a usable tone, so I sold it. Maybe I just expected too much.
I know that sometimes speaker efficiency can have a huge effect too. The Greenbacks are only 25 watt speakers so maybe you just need a amp that can push the cab harder.
@@JRs-guitars Yeah. The 30's are 60w each, and the 70/80's are 80w each, for a total of 280w. That's A LOT to ask of a 20w amp with one (1) 12AX-7. I had a Bugera 333XL Infinium, an EVH 5150 III Stealth, and an Engl Fireball 100 that all drove the cab well. I currently run a Laney Ironheart 60 through it that nearly chops the house down at low volume.
Have you ever tried running you send from your fx loop , your amps preamp into the return of an actual tube amp, I’d love to hear Themis amps preamp getting pushed with some real tube prower
I think even the stealth sounds better with greenbacks too. But I tried a Mullared tube in the Joyo, didn't hear or feel any difference so I put the stock one back in. Haven't tried the power amp trick yet. Not sure I should bother though unless I'm running it through a low gain tube amp that needs a boost.
i have the zombie v1 but i dont know why the distortion is too weak, i'm using it with 2x12 cab with v30 and a creamback, and a ibanez with seymour duncan nazgul
I wouldn't call it a weak distortion, it's more of a loose feeling. Using a boost or OD pedal with the level all of the way up and the gain at 0 - 1 makes a huge difference in tightening up the sound.
great demo, Thx bro

Bought it 2 weeks ago with 1x12 V30. Returned next day, as it was too loud for home usage :(
Was the bass really loud?
@@JRs-guitars Joyo had volume on ~3-5% and this was max I can stand in my room.
@gryg666 that's why a lot of people use a EQ pedal in the loop....the V30 speaker has really loud lows and low mids.
Try tube swapping, and try sending it out into the power amp! It sounds better with the Green Backs to me also!

i use a metal zone as a boost...like kirk from crowbar does
Шикарный усилок даже не смотря что в нем 1 лампа
