I got the jackman 2 and the zombie 2, I play them both through seperate 4x12 marshall code 412 cabinets, using a a/b/y splitter to send the guitar signal to both amps. The built in distortion channel on these amps are great, the jackman gives me a jcm sound, and the zombie gives me a mesa boogie rectifier sound. Dont be fooled by their size or 20w rating, these amps are loud as hell. I put my valve heads away and use these nowerdays, that's how much they impressed me.
@@WidowmakerStudios Hell yes. Feel free to let them know it wouldn't hurt my feelings any if they sent me one to check out. They need a representative in the desert.! Haha
Never have I thought about that before!!! If you have a tube amp and a Joyo this would be amazing. But it kind of beats the point if what you are looking for is ONE affordable badass amp
Im on the fence to either try out the Zombie II XL or the Jackman II XL. I want to try both of them out of curiosity, and to also have a mini rig in my bedroom for when im too lazy to go out into my living room. I currently own a Egnater Tweaker 40 Combo and a Roland JC40. I mainly play clean, but i will add dirt if it's appropriate for what im playing or writing. The zombie would add a high gain tone to my arsenal and its clean channel sounds pretty good too. I like the scooped tone the clean channel has. The Jackman sounds great from what ive been able to hear on youtube, and its more suitable to my playing style, but its not adding a new flavor to my sonic palette like the zombie would. Not sure which one i should try first. I hope Joyo decides to make the BlueJay II XL and also the Atomic II XL.
well ill acutally be asking for teh jackman II for next months demo. as long as its in stock i can review it. ill keep ya posted. do gotta say for a "mesa" style sound this thing is dope. just ask yourself....JCM or Mesa?
Have you noticed on this model that when you use the OD Channel that some of the Clean bleeds into the channel? I noticed it with two of these, ordered one and had that issue, ordered another, same issue. Now could I have got two messed up units? Maybe. Just really weird how when you turn the volume almost all the way down you can hear more clean bleed vs the actual OD, turn the volume all the way down on OD and you hear clean channel, makes no sense, only on the OD Channel, clean channel is fine, and if you use it with headphones you don't hear this issue. Like I said I tried two models different years made and same issue. Now I own the first Zombie 1 and I had to mod it so I could use multi channel on it, that one works perfectly fine. No clean bleed into the OD channel.
The Joyo zombie/zombie ll really sounds like my kind of amp that’s perfect for my style of playing on my RG series guitars! I had bought the Peavey Piranha 20 watt micro & their 6505 1x8” cab because I couldn’t afford the Orange Micro Dark with their PPC 1x12” cab that I wanted and So for $200 my PEAVEY Piranha combo “Really” rocks and I love it but I want that 6505 20/5/1 watt mini head and the Orange PPC 1x12” cab w/vintage 30! I “REALLY” like the Joyo’s price and it’s Mesa Boogie sound over the Micro Darks. I will keep entering every contest like Orange’s #FirstCrush and one day maybe I will have the amp combo I want. I’ve been playing Ibanez guitars since 89’ with my 1st real guitar being the RG 570 in jewel blue, then in 07’ the RG370DX in white & 20’ RG 550 in neon purple all rippers.#Joyo#ZombieAmps#🎸🤘🏻❤️
What post eq is on this recording as I have one and play through a vin 30 cab with Ibanez loaded with blackouts and another with super distortions and the tone is no where near as clear or is it just the flavour added by the 57 and cab sim??
Does yours (or anyones) have an annoying mid frequency? Like it sounds like I have a wah plugged in. I’ve listened to a lot of demos and the one I got doesn’t quite sound like the videos I’ve watched.
Well I use fishmans and they are def tighter than most pickups. That “quack” your talking about I experience with passive and pickups, mostly cheaper ones
Hey Josh ! Always great seeing new videos from you. Is this amp trying to go on a Recto style direction? To me it sounded much darker in the intro track than during the live test. Was that the sound you were looking for?
Hello. Can the BantAmp be used without connection to the speaker output and without connection to the headphone output at the same time, without harming the amplifier? Would the amplifier suffer some kind of damage at the moment or in the long run? I want to output the signal through the amplifier send to an audio interface to record the signal without cabinet emulation so that I can use my custom impulse responses, and at the same time I don't want to have headphones and/or speakers connected for a while, can this be done without damaging the amplifier? Thank you
If your just sitting at home playing but the Zombie XL is super compact and you can run it how you want. Spark is great little amp too. Hard to compare them imo
OH YES! i luv grabbing ods and putting them in front of these little amps. Check out our latest episode 2 of tone tasting! in the end we put KSR's Eros boost in front of the zombie II!
JOYO should just take the distortion from the BantApm zombie and make a zoMBie Distortion pedal, or even a tube (12AX7) zoMBie distortion pedal, shut up and take my $$$ lol.
@@TheDistortionPrinciple jackman is next on the list for me :D but ya if you reamp or use big amps its a must. its overkill for the zombie but i just wanted to throw it in the mix
I would say so! The fact that You have a pedal to switch between clean and dirty def makes it great for live situations! I recently jammed with a full band with this through a 2x12 and it totally keeps up! I don’t think it gets like blaring loud like a full blown tube head but this thing def kicks way more than that of those mini hotone amps, which I found not to be enough for full band jams.
Sounds awesome .,problem is it’s a Joyo with cheap plastic parts. My guess is 45 mins of straight playing and you will see smoke coming from the amp 😂🤷♂️
Dude, nice video but just two things... One -- the companies name is Mesa, pronounced May-suh, not Mess-suh. And two -- kind of hard to really hear the guitar and the amp sounds small and a bit thin. This is the thinnest that I have heard this amp sound and it sounds very sterile. Not tubey at all. Just two things to mention and an opinion. If anything, this video has made me reluctant to buy this amp. And I own a lot of expensive amps. Unsure if this will do anything that I could ever use it for now. Thanks for the video anyway. Very good production, aside from it being hard to hear the guitar. Edit -- oh and how does one bias this amp? And can one change tubes? Thanks. Edit -- after hearing it a second time we can turn the sound up, of course, and hear the guitar amp, but the spoken word volume is so much higher than the amp. The amp does sound more full though, but still more sterile than expected.
Someone from Spain wrote and said that "Mesa" is Spanish for table and added the Spanish pronunciation. Yes, I agree with you, if we were speaking Spanish. But in English it is pronounced "May-suh." So, here in the states with it being an American company we, here at least, should go with Mesa as "May-suh." Pretty sure that is the agreed upon pronunciation in general...even by the company itself. So, I am always bewildered when someone says, "Mess-suh," or any other pronunciation.
Sounds great man!
Thanks Jon! GLad you liked it!

late reply since this was 7 months ago, but the joyo bantamp series have a solid state power amp so that should not be an issue.
Have u been able to compare this to a positive grid spark. Two very different amps but close enough in price. I’m trying to decide which way to go.
