I just bought a left-over '23 Mojave in Hydro Blue new for $42K. The incentives right now are awesome, if you aren't financing a bunch of the purchase price.
As someone who haggled the dealer in 2022 for my 2022 Mojave. I paid out the door with Florida tax and tag 62k out the door. Because they knew no one would be ordering them. The rubicons didn’t have as much of an incentive. In reality I paid 58k for a brand new custom ordered one and I LOVE IT.
It was a nice surprise seeing you guys on the trail! I was in the gobi 392. Tommy, I recognized you as you were talking to us and then turned back and saw dad and Nathan. You guys made my day :)
I disagree with Nathan a little about the Willys being a set of tires away from being nearly a Mojave. People always seem to discount the cast iron front suspension and steering components as well as the reinforced frame. Those are a big deal if you're doing the things the Mojave was made for - bouncing and jumping at high speeds. And that's the key: what are you planning to do with it? The Willys is maybe the best bang for the buck but it won't do Mojave stuff well.
Rick Péwé! That man really helped to inspire my love of off-roading. Back when I was a 9th grader (2003-04), we had to sell magazine subscriptions (for what, I do not remember) and to bolster my own sales, I subscribed myself to two magazines that really supercharged my love of all things auto: Petersen's 4Wheel & Off-Road (to which Rick was the Editor in Chief of at the time), and Hot Rod magazine. I would read every issue of both cover to cover. I really loved the builds and when 4WOR would build rigs for the Ultimate Adventure. That magazine is why I know what a locker is, why a NP205 tcase is cool, why a Dana 60 is stronger than a 44, and so much more. Very instrumental in shaping who I am today. I read those magazines for years, and I still have every issue that I received. Thanks guys!
I'm a big fan of my 23 Mojave manual. For those interested, I've made a few videos about it and have more to come. Anyway, I had a blast watching this one as always! Great job TFL guys!
The actual prices will be different not what Roman and Tommy discussed. Toyota TRD Pro: MSRP $65k (+$5k Markup)= $70k Ranger Raptor: MSRP $56k (+$10k Markup)= $66k Gladiator Rubicon: MSRP $65k (-$10k Discount)=$55k
I bought a 2024 Gladiator Rubicon X today, anvil colored. Sticker was $69k, I paid out the door taxes, rocksliders installed and a bed cover for $61k.. The jeep itself was $58k and it's brand new right of the trailer, I pick it up Friday.
"why does this guy always manage to walk in front of us and nobody else?.....he's jealous"....then when you realize that he's taking your photo, you keep quiet? LOL
I see 2023 Gladiator Mojave and Rubicon's in my area selling for around $45k down from 65-70k. That seems like a better deal than a Ranger Raptor or TRD Pro at 65-70K but not sure.
Agree. I got 26% off MSRP. 58K MSRP down to 42K. MacHaik Houston on I-10 had a bunch of left-over '23 year model Rubicons and Mojaves in February. I understand the '24 was updated with power seats, rear side curtain air bags, larger Uconnect screen and new grill. Mechanically has same powertrain, suspension, HD axles, etc. So the discount made me grab a '23.
@kadim… Ranger Raptors will sell for MSRP at the same time when F150 or Bronco Raptors will start selling for MSRP. Pretty much never unless there will be a crazy recession or cataclysmic world event and then most of us will be busy trying to stay alive vs worrying about Raptor prices.
This was alot of fun! I was working out in the garage and ended up watching alot of it. You guys have such amazing chemistry and a love for off-roading, having fun, and just a passion for everything about automobiles. It makes for really enjoyable content.
Does the 24 Mojave still have steel front knuckles compared to aluminum in the Rubi and others? Also, besides the orange stitching, aren't the seats more bolstered? Is the hood still steel and heavier in the Mojave? Besides the Fox suspension, those are the other reasons I was aware of for getting a Mojave over the Rubi.
There are a couple of ways to get to Wipeout Hill. What trail are you guys on after leaving Wipeout Hill what route did you take? Was it seven mile rim?
Jeep is so out of touch with reality on their prices. Easily 20k overpriced. These gladiators will just sit on the lots just like the 23 models are smh..
@@371kennyyeah and even 20k off the prices are questionable. I was looking at 2023 Ecodiesels and even with all the discounts they were still high 50’s just cause I wanted heated seats and LED headlights 🤦♂️
Mpjave is more Jeep than 90% of potential customers will ever need. When you engage the center lock and rear lock, you still have brake locking differentials in front. It rides better than any jeep out there due to the suspension for every day driving. I put mine on 37" with terraflex suspension and added apex sway bar disconnect. It will go anywhere except body damaging trails.
I don't know why TFL doesn't mention the stronger frame which is only available on the Mojave. And is not available on the Rubicon. I own a 2021 Mojave. But initially my heart was set on the Rubicon because of the front locker. But once the Mojave was introduced with its stronger frame and axles the Rubicon was out. In my book. One can add a front locker easy. The 4 to 1 T-Case is overkill slow and the sway bar disconnect can be added anytime. Thank you for the video. I want your guys' job! Lol. Be well.
Just missed you guys. Was part of an EJS group coming down as some part of your group was heading up the “I Lean.” Nina was over on that side at the time and was able to say a quick hello. Been seeing those Mojaves getting cleaned up every evening here at the hotel where I’m staying (and I suppose Jeep corporate as well). Looked like your group was having fun. I know our group was having fun for sure!

My 23 mohave has flip flops on the right side of the cowl.. This is my first mohave, ive had 3 Rubions, jk,jl, jt. I'm loving it, basically just wanted to try it out. Really wanted the WILLY"S no one had one in my area. Good stuff thank you.
Thanks for some graet coverage. I saw where Jeep Bill Peffer mentioned a new premium soft top for the 2024 Gladiuator. Did you guys get to see it in person, if so what are your thoughts? Woiuld love to see a video showing this new top. Thanks.
Nice video! Sort of like an inside line on what Moab---and Jeep---are all about. I miss living less than two hours from Moab. The offset is I live a short 30 minute flight and about 8 or 10 miles from Pearl Harbor. I live in Paradise! Andy McKane, 1924, Tuesday, 26 March 2024, Molokai, Hawaii.
You can actually buy a Jeep, choose your favorite trim and color right on the lot, and you won't pay full MSRP if you know how to negotiate (i.e. a minimum of $6K reduction on top trims). Ford has always limited the supply of Raptors, so IF you find a Ranger Raptor, you'll take whatever color Ford allocated to the dealer, and you'll pay full MSRP at minimum. Most dealers will add Additional Dealer Markup, so a black Ranger Raptor will cost the same as a your favorite Rubicon X and Mojave X. I must say why Jeep chose to go for 'best in class' rear legroom at the expense of front legroom in the Gladiator is a head scratcher.
I went to Madrid and only saw 2 trucks, one ranger raptor and a gladiator and they looked huge compared to the other small electric cars. Tesla model Y looks huge as well. Very funny.
They sell the Gladiator here in Europe with a V6 Diesel engine. Sadly though the MY24 is the last year and you can only get the final edition. I drive a Ranger Raptor diesel and over here it is gigantic but still fun though.
Interested seeing the mojave with the steel bumper option. Good see some mojaves out on the trails because they get alot of hate but I believe it's just gladiators in general
What no one talks about are the advantages of the longer wheel base. I was used to wheeling an 87 k5 blazer and an 02 longarm WJ... I drove my 23 ecodiesel gladiator out to EJS last year for its first offroading trip. I was super surprised by just planted it felt on off camber obstacles and how by the time the rear tires are climbing the fronts are up and pulling on flat ground making the climbs feel less effortless...
Big balls to ask the engineer why a base Mojave is $10k more than a fully loaded Ranger Raptor! I think Jeep does have more but the value is not $10k more. If Jeep tries to provide more it will no longer be a Jeep. Quite the conundrum.
Comes down to the right tool for the job. I'm not one that needs a smartphone-like device on my wrist when I usually have one in my pocket. Garmin is an activity device and it's simply the best there is right out of the box I charge my Fenix 7x every 2 to 4 weeks and it's usually still at +20% when I do.
I am not a fan of them, but they sell a crap-load of 4xe Wranglers. Still not convinced a 4xe Gladiator is a good idea (IF they can get the 2.0L to even work in a truck)
More power 470lb-ft torque, the ability to commute on electric only, silent off-roading for a limited time, reduced strain on the 2.0L. Yea sounds awful compared to the minivan 3.6
@@smallestnutzful All I'll say is that there is a Reason Jeep has not produced a 2.0L 4xe Gladiator. My money says they won't either. It will be something else.
Great video TFL! Thanks for making me laugh! I was very surprised to hear that power seats were not a standard option in the 2024. I thought they were just like all the safety stuff that is on the new Jeeps. I love my 2021 Gladiator. I custom order it with cloth seats and without all of the safety stuff including front and rear parking sensors to save money. These prices they ask for these new Jeeps are just sad and crazy.
If they would offer the Gladiator with a front locker and a disconnecting sway bar, it would sell like hot cakes. It's pretty much a Rubicon with the upgraded suspension...
I would love a gladiator, but I’m 6’5” and my kids are going to be tall. So I’m curious if I could put a rear facing car seat in the back, or sit behind myself with the front seat all the way back. Otherwise I’ll have to stick with my full size crew cab.
If you test drive, you'll notice the windshield frame is much lower than usual vehicles. At 6'2", 240lbs the Mojave works alright for me. You may find yourself stopping a bit before you usually would at intersections, so you can see the light change. Our 4yr & 2yr old are both in front facing car seats. One siting behind me with drivers seat all the way back. I've owned a '15 Ram 2500 crewcab since new. When we hop back into the Ram it feels cavernous. But this is more of a weekend trip/errand vehicle for us. Edit: Rear facing car seats are probably not possible unless you have only one rear seat passenger.
So impressive how Jeep will bring factory vehicles here to show off. Every other manufacture is like “come check out this BS dirt course we made.” Jeep is like “let’s run actual trails and we will show you what’s up.” You’re paying for actual capability with JTs and JLs.
Ford Ranger Raptor has a Baja running suspension and both rear and front lockers, plus a powerful engine for way less than a Gladiator Mojave. A fully loaded Ranger Raptor is $14k less than a fully loaded Gladiator Mojave. I like convertibles and the ability to take the doors off, but that is a huge price gap to get a vehicle that is less equipped with known quality issues. My Mojave leaked oil straight from the factory and Jeeps paint issues are well known as well.
I live in Oxfordshire and a neighbour has a Ranger Raptor, so a Gladiator is not out of the question. I do see F150s and Dodge Rams around. They're not common, but I see them reasonably regularly. The Gladiator is ULEZ compliant for London too Nathan. You would have to pay the congestion charge, but not the additional ULEZ charge. So it would cost you about 20 bucks to go into the city. I like the looks of the Gladiator, but couldn't justify it, especially as you're not going to take off the roof and doors in the UK.
I enjoy your shows and I think your making much of these information readily available to those who don’t have the opportunity to experience these things however You need to stop shadowing your son that much, I think he is doing a very good job but you need to give him room to be what he really is (the future), we already all know that your the boss just don’t always try to be proving it that must, Please I’m not saying this to offend you and I hope you take it as constructive criticism and not an offence, we love you and keep up the good job your doing
I know they are both midsize trucks but i feel like a Gladiator and Raptor are going to appeal to different groups. I think of Raptor and i think going fast in the desert and sand dunes. I think Jeep i think of it as a modern classic due to it's long history and going slow off road without doors or the top on.
The issue with crawling Mojave’s and sometimes feeling like they need more power is not the engine, but their low range gearing. They have about a 53 to 1 crawl ratio vs about a 77 to 1 for a Rubicon. This means more throttle use and less throttle control in low speed crawling. It also means, however, that they can go faster in low range vs a Rubicon. Each can of course crossover and do what the other one was really more designed to do, but yeah, they are designed to do different things. Buy the one that fits the offroading you most intend to do. Besides, much of the differences can also be added aftermarket- for example a front locker on a Mojave, nicer suspension and cast iron knuckles on a Rubicon etc. (I guess with the exception being the stronger frame on the Mojave). If I were going to lift it and replace suspension though, I don’t think I’d spend for a Mojave, as that is really the biggest part of what you are paying for, so why spend for it and then immediately take it off. Anyway, great vid. Makes me wish I wasn’t going into work at the office. Ugh.
Last year, I wanted to buy a JT. But the strike was looming, and I had a trip planned that would involve towing some kind of Jeep behind our pickup and camper. Ordering, would have given me the equipment I wanted, for a more reasonable price. But I ended up buying a JLU Sport S Altitude for $49k. No point paying for options that I will remove later.
Meanwhile, here in Canada, Dealers are marking up 2024 Gladiators in the $70K CAD range, to the point where they're only a difference of 1000-2000 dollars between Sport, Willys, Mojave and Rubicon (none of which are specced with the new power seats). So currently, its better to get a 2023, as they're sitting on lots with discounts, starting at about $50K CAD for a Sport S with maybe 1 option.
The guy said he pick the Rubicon instead of mojave ,he said it's more for less...factory said that the mojave have stronger frame than rubicon because they made capable to jump in the desert with higher speed. Also is more drivable on highway than rubicon..I think it's important !
The downside to the wrangler and gladiator is the factory axle locker in the Mojave and Rubicons. The sensor fails frequently and the only way to replace it is a full axle replacement. Until Jeep makes the sensor available, don't let your warranty run out.
on crazy europe stuff.... in the netherlands there is a tax based on environmental footprint, a 70k EUR genadier will skyrocket to 180k EUR for a natural person buying it. Believe the grenadier isn't even sold with rear seats (only front seats it might be possible to have it as 'commercial'), but also a (non 4xe) wrangler will skyrocket to about 160k EUR. (~176k $)
Ok, who found the zero option white base Gladiator base sport soft top and drove that one? The one that costs $42,000. You know, the one you now have to special order because dealers won’t stock them.
It was sold here with the diesel too until 2023. I almost bought one but It has lots of issues overheating when towing or even just climbing big grades on a hot day.
I’m excited for a gladiator 4xE. I love the Gladiator. I did like it in a Jeep Wrangler 4xE. Wish it had a bigger battery. It would be really cool if they had a higher powered inverter (7200 watt) like the power boost. Still agree it’s overpriced for a midsize truck. I’d rather buy a half ton truck for the money of the Gladiator.
Loaded AT4X canyon is 60k and a lot of amenities plus front and rear lockers. Colorado ZR2 cost even less. Ranger raptor if ever built will be a bargain for the price. Sorry but no jeep wrangler or Gladiator is worth 70 plus k

@@smallestnutzful All I'll say is that there is a Reason Jeep has not produced a 2.0L 4xe Gladiator. My money says they won't either. It will be something else.
You polled every jeep owner? Impressive.
Sounded like that Mohave could use the lower geared transfer case out of the Rubicon on that climb.
They start in 2nd gear when they are in 4 low, so it sounded like it was not in first.
Hardly.

Electric seats is needed? Since when? I prefer manual, much faster adjusting and dont fail
My 21 Gladiator has the sandals on the cowl vent
It’s a small truck you will be cramped. I bought a ram because I needed the space.
I've seen a ram 2500 diesel rock crawl so why wouldn't a gladiator?
So impressive how Jeep will bring factory vehicles here to show off. Every other manufacture is like “come check out this BS dirt course we made.” Jeep is like “let’s run actual trails and we will show you what’s up.” You’re paying for actual capability with JTs and JLs.
I’m waiting with Baited breath for you to Highlight the new Ginger color concept Gladiator Jeep Pelouze
The Gladiator guys wll be able to enjoy the open top when the dust from the Raptor settles. Just settle for 2nd place. Great support vehicle, maybe?
As someone who grew up next to the original factory, it is Willie’s
I’m pretty sure the guy knows how to pronounce his own company and last name. “Willis.”
I enjoy your shows and I think your making much of these information readily available to those who don’t have the opportunity to experience these things however
You need to stop shadowing your son that much, I think he is doing a very good job but you need to give him room to be what he really is (the future), we already all know that your the boss just don’t always try to be proving it that must,
Please I’m not saying this to offend you and I hope you take it as constructive criticism and not an offence, we love you and keep up the good job your doing
New DJI mics I think do 3 now, I believe.
Best cost benefit gladiator is a simple sport S ecodiesel. Hands down. The effortless torque is amazing for off roading.
I know they are both midsize trucks but i feel like a Gladiator and Raptor are going to appeal to different groups. I think of Raptor and i think going fast in the desert and sand dunes. I think Jeep i think of it as a modern classic due to it's long history and going slow off road without doors or the top on.
The mark up on the ranger raptors gunna be more than any gladiator 😢
My 2023 gladiator Mojave has the Sandals on the passenger side.
Why pocket pants?
Meanwhile, here in Canada, Dealers are marking up 2024 Gladiators in the $70K CAD range, to the point where they're only a difference of 1000-2000 dollars between Sport, Willys, Mojave and Rubicon (none of which are specced with the new power seats). So currently, its better to get a 2023, as they're sitting on lots with discounts, starting at about $50K CAD for a Sport S with maybe 1 option.
The Hurricane would add needed power but the length would need increasing up front! Its already stretched...
The guy said he pick the Rubicon instead of mojave ,he said it's more for less...factory said that the mojave have stronger frame than rubicon because they made capable to jump in the desert with higher speed. Also is more drivable on highway than rubicon..I think it's important !
Ask anybody that had a land rover how the typical air suspension works after awhile years down the road.
The gladiator does have the sandals on the cowl.
The downside to the wrangler and gladiator is the factory axle locker in the Mojave and Rubicons. The sensor fails frequently and the only way to replace it is a full axle replacement. Until Jeep makes the sensor available, don't let your warranty run out.
True to your roots. Thats funny. Then put ev in the same sentence. Good luck with those
the inline 6 cyl hurricane with twin turbos
on crazy europe stuff.... in the netherlands there is a tax based on environmental footprint, a 70k EUR genadier will skyrocket to 180k EUR for a natural person buying it. Believe the grenadier isn't even sold with rear seats (only front seats it might be possible to have it as 'commercial'), but also a (non 4xe) wrangler will skyrocket to about 160k EUR. (~176k $)
I have a 21 mojave with footprints
You are right the Trac Loc in the Willis will go just about anywhere.
Ok, who found the zero option white base Gladiator base sport soft top and drove that one? The one that costs $42,000. You know, the one you now have to special order because dealers won’t stock them.
Great video
The Gladiator is sold in Europe, with the 6 cylinder diesel engine. So is the RAM 1500 with the HEMI engine.
It was sold here with the diesel too until 2023.
I almost bought one but It has lots of issues overheating when towing or even just climbing big grades on a hot day.
Where is "here"? thks.@@Jay-me7gw
I bought a 24 nissan frontier sv long bed for way less than this. I'll use my 03 tj, for this stuff...matter of fact..been there done that.

He is.
a 2 door gladiator with a 6 foot bed would be nice
Hopefully I can pick up a left over 23 next year for like 30k 😂
I just want a 2 door swb gladiator
