Before I somehow stumbled on Trailmater and Matts Off Road and this channel, If I was standing on that spot and you told me any vehicle had went over that trail I wouldn't have believed you! Those two wreckers are amazing.
I was just thinking this if you told me that 1 one ton dually made it much less 2 I would have laughed but after watching these guys for years im a believer
I just got back from Moab and I can tell you that those trails are way worse than the video shows. And I agree, when i first saw a lot of those 'roads', I thought there is no way I'm going to be able to drive up that.
Rory is a beast of an off road driver. Trail mater is also amazing. I've seen videos of that man wheeling almost impossible roads all while towing a jeep without front wheels... he's amazing. One heck of a driver to learn from
Cliffhanger is the perfect name for that trail! Watching you two take those big girls out there for a dance was amazing and knowing the limitations of both rigs is even more exciting. Hats off to both teams for getting everyone out safely. 👍🍻

You can tell rory knows those trails well, but you can also see Eric's skill as a offroader by how well he followed rorys directions. I'm sure it made his day alot more fun having someone with the experience ,and the knowledge Eric has of the wreckers capabilities.
he knows who has experience here. a smart man who has no problem following direction from a rock crawler. Eric knows how to learn from others and will soon have the skills from his peers in the rock crawling scene. I could hang with this guy!!!!

AAA is a pyramid scheme! The ones getting screwed are the towers. The only ones with REAL money invested. A AAA vendor needs a full time person on staff just to make sure AAA doesn't screw them out of pay.

I was a gunner for the EJS group. We went to the trail and held the group there for a long lunch to give Rory time to work on that jeep. They beat us out by a large margin. We finally got back to the trailhead about 6:45.
You took that GMC to a new level on this one. Great video and you can be proud of just having the nerve and confidence to try just a tough trail. I imagine Rory has been there several times.
OMG that looks so fun! The wrecker is doing so much better than you'd expect for such a heavy truck! I had to wonder why Rory didn't pull you from the boom winch to help lift you up/ over instead of a low pull harder into the rock wall? Either way only 1 assist on a trail rated 8 is good. Great content. Happy you finally made it out there safe after the bad roads & Chevy losing an engine. Keep the great videos coming & have a safe trip home!
I drove 1976-77 Chevy wrecker for a big dealership in Mich, so I know how heavy they are, of course yours is a little newer and a tad lighter but still heavy dry. The way you drove first time level 8 with that wrecker of yours with Rory's spotting is very impressive of with cliffs of 600- 1000 ft drop. Successful recovery trip to vehicle and back. Watching your trust in Rory was amazing and I love how that young lady with you in the wrecker smiling the whole time shows how much she trusts you.👍 The best part was that you Rory did it with good old made American iron.🇺🇸 Absolutely love the video. I love the recovery videos. Anyone can get in a 4WD and go out and break their rigs. Only a select few can take heavy tow trucks out to recover them. My dually isn't a tow truck it's a tow pig and it weighs 11,000 lbs. Definitely not a offroad machine at all. Great job on the wheeling and recovery!!

That looked like it was a 8 or 12 trail for sure. The old Squarebody for as heavy as it is did damn good. Rory knows thoses hills and valleys like the back of his hands. Plus hes a wheelin fool...LOL..Hes very Good..Great Video..
I would never ever take a late model truck offroad they're not built like the old Ford Chevy and Dodges. Those tow trucks are highly modified tho hence why they can do what they do.
I have seen Rory sporting many times. You can 😃 trust him to be professional. The trail Mater is his well crafted machine. Your recovery rig video 😂 was excellent 😉. The square body's ability was proven with this job
Your tow truck showed amazing abilities despite its weight. I would have used up several pairs of underwear on that trail. You were definitely in good hands with the master of Mohab. Great job out there. Now you can conquer pretty much anything the rocks throw you. Stay safe and enjoy.

Mad props to the BSF Recovery crew. We all know you're out of your element there in Utah, but you didn't come all that way just to sit on the sidelines, wave your pom-poms and look pretty. You're an offroad wrecker for pity's sakes. No sooner do you blow into town maybe hoping for a quiet minute to catch your breath and settle in after the arduous journey West, but oh no. As soon as Rory heard you were local, he was ready to put you to work. Oh well. That's what you're there for. Work is play for BSF Recovery. The wrecker did very well on terrain it wasn't built for, as did the nut behind the wheel.

Now for Rorey that’s a totally different way to even look at things on the trail!! For some one that gets the option to run the trails when ever he would like to at 365 days a year that definitely gives Rorey plenty of practice to make it look like running a mall car in the mall parking lots!!! Lol!! Remember keep up all the hard work buddy it will definitely become much easier for you every chance you get the option to go out on moabs trails!!!
I can definitely see why Rory ditched the wrecker bed. The bed on your truck has to be a huge stress on the flexing frame where the cab meets the bed .
We are a sq body family. We are blessed to have many no rust rigs. We love seeing your and Rory's sq body tow rigs. Rory is amazing, the knowledge he has is amazing. He recovered our/his friend Don off Coyote Cannon. To think of a sq body on that trails is unbelievable. Maybe we meet you next year at EJS, we will be there.

That trail is tough enough for a light vehicle. Taking a 9000lb wrecker over it is amazing. You couldn't have a better spotter than Rory.

This is about as good as it gets. Two badass wreckers going places most 4X4s can't go! These boys have skills and serious tools for the job.

I’m astounded those rigs cruised that trail. I did it in a Jeep lifted on 37’s and thought I was gonna die!

Some spots on that trail are a "Pucker Factor" of ten but Rory drives through like a Sunday drive!
