    I used to use a similar method, have all characters accumulate while the last enemy is kept alive. But I always used to have ramza with the yell ability and someone in the party with time magic for haste and another person in the party carefully positioned that would chakra everyone including the enemy. Non stop JP at a very quick and efficient rate

      I remember playing this game when I was 12yo- I didn’t know what the hell I was doing, and I thought Ramza was trash.
      Now he’s my favorite unit to use for this precise reason. Who needs T.G. CID to break enemy armor, when you can break the game with Ramza.

    Nother thing to note: characters get passive jp when an ally does a thing. That passive jp is in the class of the ally and is 1/4 of the base jp they earned [ignoring earned jp up]

    When I played this game back in the day, my favorite strategy to gain JP was to equip all the characters I want to train with Throw Stone and Gain JP Up. I would then look for random battles in forest/plains areas trying to find a battle with a yellow chocobo. I then employed what I called the "Everybody Must Get Stoned" technique. It basically involved killing all the enemies except a chocobo, cornering it (one of the corners of the battlefield works best), and knocking it to about half HP. Then everyone just throws rocks at it, making sure not to do enough damage to kill it. It will use Choco Cure on itself, thereby restoring HP. If you feel you are going to do too much damage with the throw, just aim for another character or have that character do something else. You also have to watch Monks in particular, as they tend to do a lot of damage with the rock throws. If you are careful, you can keep this up indefinitely. I must say the strategies outlined in this video beat this trick all to hell.

  • @jasonbell791

    I set a monk in the middle, and a time mage and just made sure people could do something every round. I'd mostly ignore enemies or target them as they came into range. Monk in the middle was for chakra to heal and restore magic for people on the outside.

    i used to use the accumulate/1 PA punch (for unique units), until i tried the berserked frog method. dropping the enemy to 1 speed and 1 PA, while also putting your unit to 1 PA is great. having at least 800 or so hp to run through (1 hp at a time) is enough to spillover 9999 JP to everyone. takes roughly an hour of real time unless you speed it up, but the benefit is you have to do nothing. 500 hp is around 6000 spillover.
    the good news is that this can be done anywhere, and you can frog multiple enemies if you need that 9999 JP for some raisin. beats inputting manually a million times, even though that may be faster.

  • @komradeklutch6215

    I definitely recommend that everyone plays the game through The first time trying to do as little extra grinding is possible as it makes the story battles feel a little weak and then causes a weird game imbalance as random battles feel heavier than story battles.
    That said after the first playthrough, it's fun to try to do things differently. I'm currently doing a monsters only run.
    Also, as long as you've played the game through normally once I wouldn't frown upon anybody who wants to use a infinite JP gameshark code or anything. The kids to enjoy the game and I feel like once you've played it through adequately at least once then it's just time to see how much fun you can have doing different things without wasting too much time. Time is precious.

      That's sorta what the JP Set-up is all about. Incapacitate the enemy (using slow or don't move/don't act or sleep or whatever) and then just do whatever to gain JP (use accumulate/focus, attack party members, etc)

  • @davidames793

    i always start by gaining accumulate to raise attack and jp up. then spam accumulate in battle. while 1 or 2 characters play with the last enemy. becomes easier with a monk since you can restore hp and mp with chakra. NOTE: dont have counter/counter tackle on while doing this. ive ended alot of battles witha gutsy goblin trying to attack with little hp left instead of running a way

    Speedrun to get ninja's vanish (at least two people and both female). Go to one of the corners and spam dance (polka first, speed down, then damage). The rest will then do focus (squire ability). Make sure the position of the two units is positioned in a way that not one enemy can pass by. Once they are hit by an enemy, they vanish but still preform the dance. The enemies will have no chance to deal any damage ahahahah. I did this in the chapter 1 plains and is very effective.

    • @Kairi091
      @Kairi091  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you're right! If you choose chemist, that character will only gain chemist JP in battle. However, your other characters in the battle will also gain a very small amount of chemist JP everytime your chemist gains JP. Basically, just make your character into whatever job you want them to gain a lot of JP for and then go into battle.

    • @Kairi091
      @Kairi091  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. In order to earn Squire JP, the character must be a squire.
      If you have a Squire in your party earning JP, other characters in your party will also earn a small amount of Squire JP when the Squire earns some.
      But the answer is yes. To get Squire JP, you must have a Squire in your party earning JP.

    Usually I set up on having my whole sqaud to get jp up and Accumulate with Squire. Then I work on each of them trying to get Calcutor job and get move-get jp. I go to Mandalia Plains to get my jp. Have them attack and kill every Chocobo and Panters and leave a single red goblin since they movement is low. For equipment.. I usually get them all battle boots to have this really work. I leave the red goblin alive and use Accumulate and move away from the Goblin. The poor red Goblin try to catch up but can't. Using Accumulate and JP up. Your jp is going shoot up skyhigh. If you have move-get jp up then extra 8-10 jp when you move you character aswell. This very easy to get all your jobs masters very easily. Just finished chapter 1 in 10 hrs and got most my beginning jobs master already. My characters are level 20- 30. Basically I am pretty set to finish the game with ease.

  • @seanziegler477
    @seanziegler477 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    your incapacitate method is pretty well known, and easily done without incapacitating an enemy.
    You can do this as early as the first possible random encounter zone, mandalia plains. Literally all you need is squires and chemist(s) It actually works really well using the chocobos that spawn there. Also, I wouldnt recommend doing a long grind of JP farming without Gained JP up. You can use this method to easily obtain it for every character before using this method for other things though.
    The key is to ensure you have at least 1 chemist, and a decent supply of potions. Simply surround and attack, throw stones, dash etc, w/e to gain JP without killing the enemy. Low enough HP chocobos will usually cast choco cure and if surrounded they will heal your party too. Pretty simple way to unlock every class before the story battle in Dorter. While it does take more time and isn't as automated as other methods, its very easy to gain access to the level 4 black magic, summons, dragon spirit, equip sword, two swords, etc very early on in the game. No need to use any glitch's.
    You could opt to use equip change so you can unequip weapons after surrounding the enemy but its not really worth the loss in JP gain from gained JP up.
    Very simply and easy method that can be used to legitimately gain JP.

    the best automated jp farming that i found need Ramza who know yell and at least one character who know the knight ability speed break, power break and mind break, then a character who know frog from the black mage ability and a character who know chacra from the monk ability... (note all abilities can fit into two characters, Ramza as a squire/black mage and the other is a knight/monk... for more efficency, the knight should not be the wizard and the remaining characters may have knight, monk or wizard with thoses abilities as a second job)
    then catch a random battle at Mandalia plains from the Gariland magic city side, for the setup part, better staying in the corner where the party appears, using thoses rocks as a shelter to prevent beeing circled by the enemies while they are still powerfull
    first speed/power/mind break every enemies until their values are 1 while transforming them into frog... (the monk makes sure to resuplie the wizard with mp)
    then use yell and speed/power break on the party members to make them all to speed 10... and power 1
    then frog all party members... making sure that the monk is the last to be froggified... (as a frog, the only spell a black mage can cast is frog)... then the black mage spend all of his remaining mp on casting magic on a empty spot... (makes sure than the enemy can not reach that spot, because they will try it if they can and it would ruin everythig)
    when there is no more way to retransform from frog (casting frog one time change the character into a frog, casting frog on a frogged target return him back to his original form)... then i set all party members to auto-battle/save fading life... and wait...
    all characters should deal 1 damage point, but because your team speed is set to 10 and the enemy speed is set to 1... you should never be surrounded... the only thing to check is thoses crystals left when a character dies... if the wizard lay his hand on it, he will try to defrog everyone...

    The more lazy way of getting JP is from Propositions, and just waste days traveling between connected towns to avoid randoms. The only problems are that special characters can't do propositions, and that propositions aren't available until chapter 2

    I remember having to force allies down to very low bravery before accidentally stepping and permenantly ruining a chance at a unique rare item was such a pain in the ass and so stupid. Without a guide, finding items on the ground in maps was complete garbage. At least list somewhere the items that exist on a level, and for god sakes no chance roll for them to turn into phoenix downs. So damn aggrivating and stupid for anyone not cheating.

    Why do you give a warning for the jp scroll glitch? Nothing bad can happen, the worst thing that happens is your jp decreases without unlocking anything and then you can't afford any abilities anymore. Oh well, just earn more jp.
    This glitch is the main reason I prefer the ps1 version for its replayability. After the 20th time of playing through the game, its not fun or challenging to grind chemist jp, and if I want to make the game more challenging, there are lots of more interesting handicaps that I can apply to my characters. Grinding JP aint fun.

    This is so backwards and unnecessary. lmfao
    Do it like this, Seriously..
    1. Get Accumulate in Squire for all characters.
    2. Get the 'speed up' for your main character.
    3. Enter a Battle and have your main constantly getting "fast" while you kill the monsters.
    4. Retreat all allies to the corner and spam Accumulate.
    5. Staying exactly +1 space from enemy with main will ensure they never move towards your units.
    6. Profit. You can go all the way up to 50 attack power EACH battle. Normally takes 2 battles to MASTER any class in the game.
