    The first thing I do is replace all covers, whether clear plastic or opaque and I replace them with parchment squares. I turn them over on my glass mat with a craft sheet on top of the glass and I iron the back of the canvas without anything between the canvas and my iron. I have a craft iron that reaches 110 degrees Fahrenheit, no steam. I have done this to over 30 canvases, both poured glue and double sided adhesive and have not had a single problem putting drills on the canvas and having them stay there. I then store them in my posterboard portfolio (that i made) until I work on it.. The glue loses the shine, but not the stick. I hope this helps. It has saved my sanity, especially with special shaped drill paintings.

      I try to only civer with parchment paper is it's double sided adhesive. I actually like the plastic, if I can keep it.

    My mouth was a big “O” when the towel got stuck to the back of the canvas. So glad you worked it out!

    That tool you used you can get in the kitchen supply area of a big box store it’s a food scraper. Thank you for doing the experimenting for us!

      This particular one is for doing vinyl with a Cricut.

    On this type of canvas, what works for me it’s to replace plastic cover with parchment paper squares and then iron on the back of the canvas. Iron is at a mid range setting. If the creases are deep, I use the steam at the lowest steam setting.

    Good job! I’ve only tried the ironing once, and it was on the one canvas I told you about, as an experiment, I tore the double sided tape completely off the canvas. I was ironing it afterwards, to try to get it in as good as shape as possible, before attaching new double sided sheets.

    I only had to iron one. Used very low heat, no steam, and it worked. I bet type of plastic and canvas makes a difference. Glad you got it fixed! ☺

    I'm impressed the plastic canvases didn't melt. I might try this on a few double sided canvases that the rivers are huge and the back is all messed up. Thank you Mindy for showing this.💖💖💖💎💖💖💖

      That sounds good, I received one I got for my grandson and omg there is so many rivers in it, and it looks terrible and it's double sided tape!!

      Yoy must use low heat. Go slow. I don't think I've tried it on double sided adhesive.

    Thanks Mindy saw this at the perfect time. I just received a custom and they folded the canvas 5 times😭 deep creases rivers and bubbles. The struggle bus is real. Breaking out the iron as we speak!

    Hello Mindy💖🤗, did you hear my say "Oh No!) When the towel stuck. I thought for sure you melted the towel into the plastic canvas.
    You must have a good iron to heat up like that. The pictures are so pretty and I'm glad it didn't ruin the first one. Can't wait to so them finished.
    Actually with it not working the way you wanted it to and you didn't edit it out of the video made the whole thing real. If I make a mistake or something doesn't work the first time, I can say it always doesn't work for Mindy too the first time. Great video!😉
    You have an awesome evening and day tomorrow. It was so pretty today. Just the way I love the weather.
    May Jesus bless you and yours, Lin✝️🐕🐕🐕🐕🐢🐦🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎💖🦒🐧🐲🤗

    Awesome job all the way around! I've lucked out so far with the ones I've ironed. I always think of it like a haircut, I can always cut more off, I can't put it back on- I can always iron more, or make it hotter, but I can't unmelt a canvas 😂

    You should always iron your canvas with parchment paper.. never with the plastic.

    • @mindysdiamondmoment
      @mindysdiamondmoment  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've always done it with the plastic. It works just fine.

    • @terilynn1071

      @@mindysdiamondmoment with the parchment paper you won't get the puckers, because it doesn't pull on the canvas when it gets warm. When plastic gets warm it shrinks an puckers just enough to make the canvas pucker. I know that it was either sticharista or Mrs Coffee that did an ironing video about using parchment paper instead of the plastic. Just a thought.

      I have put parchment paper on ruined double sided canvases and hung them up. They are pretty big paintings. The weight of the painting stretched most of the bubbles and rivers out. The difference is amazing.

    • @mindysdiamondmoment
      @mindysdiamondmoment  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That works for bubbled glue. This is for when the actual canvas has creases.
