Why not available in the slightly broader version. It seems as though these are the super fine needle point type. I’ve had them before and they just aren’t quite as smooth as the original moonlight range which are absolutely gorgeous to use. So much so that I butchered a full pack of moonlight pens to transplant the broader nibs on to the fine point ones as I loved the colours but it was taking too long to colour in. Yes it did work. The nib pulls out and just pushes back in. It upset me butchering a full pack but it was kind of worth it. Please release in the same nib size as the original moonlight and not just in super fine. Please 🙏
Wow! These are becoming our favorite pens...and love how they look on dark and black paper. So many color options and ideas on how to use them for various projects. Thanks for inspiring us!
I can’t believe that I didn’t know about these until now. My wife was actually the first one to show me and ordered me a pack. I have been on the search for pens that glow in the UV blacklight since I got into them so many years ago. I was able to find all but blue and purple, particularly a light blue and a light purple that glowed. I’ve purchased just about every pen known to man in search of these colors. They normally don’t ever glow. About the only blue and indigo that I’ve found to glow were Sakura’s blue and purple Moonlight pens. I couldn’t wait for my order to get here so I went to Michael’s, but they only had solo vandyke brown, fresh green, and lavender. Of course, I was especially pleased to see that the lavender not only glowed, but glowed very brightly with my UV flashlight! I get my pack of new moonlights tomorrow and am especially excited to see how the ultramarine, blue green, and (especially) sky blue work under the blacklight! I can’t wait! I am so unspeakably happy about these!
Great presentation, I like the way you swatch the white and black side by side, instead of on different sheets. I love Gelly Rolls, these are on my new and updated wish list, my birthday is coming in a few weeks, this will be on "the list"! My poor husband! 🤣🤣🤣
So awesome! I finally got my full pack of the new moonlights and have all 25 now. All of them glow under the blacklight, but (other than the “fluorescents”) they all have a slightly blue base glow that makes them all bluish under the blacklight. For example, with the Res (#419), you can still tell that it’s red under the blacklight but has that blue undertone to it. This works quite well with the Sky Blue, Lavender, Blue, Ultramarine, Purple, and Blue Green because they all involve blue anyway. This is great because those blue to purple shades are normally the hardest to find in gel pens that actually glow under the UV light. These 6 colors work quite well!
I disagree. They seem to be great to begin with but they tend to dry up after short time and I haven't figured out a way to get them flowing again once they do.
Hello, I am new to coloring for adults and just purchased your set of 74 Gelly Roll pens. I love them! I do have a question and suggestion to make. I like to organize my coloring supplies and when I received my pens they were all jumbled up in the sectioned box which is very nice quality wise. Do you have a guide that would tell me by sight how to categorize each pen so that I can organize them? I know the pens are marked but it is not easy to understand the various symbols or numbers on them and I could use a guide. The suggestion I would like to make is that in your larger sets you include a guide to help people organize the pens if they should want to do that.
Sakura of America: Is there any chance you will reinstate the Dark Stardust Pens? Also, what happened to the Rose Stardust color? I cant find it anywhere.
VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION!!! I have the 10 original Moonlight colors and the 5-pack of gray colors. I absolutely love these!! However, the primary reason that I like them so much is that they are UV/blacklight reflective. I mostly do blacklight art and it is extremely difficult to find blue, purple, legit red (that glows), gray and white. I was extremely pleased to find that your Moonlight blue (#436?), purple (#424?), and grays all glow in the blacklight quite well. No pure red that glows red, but the vermillion is pretty close (slightly orangish, though). Anyway, I’m really excited to try these new pens, but was wondering if they flowed under a UV blacklight. I can’t tell you how many pens I’ve ordered hoping to get a light blue and/or light purple that glow. Please let me know! If it is so, then you (Sakura) are my absolute Savior. P.S. please come out with a moonlight pure red that glows pure red and a moonlight white that glows white. THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!!!
Question answered. THEY DO GLOW UNDER THE BLACKLIGHT!!! They seem to have the same blue base glow that most of the Moonlights (that aren’t “fluorescent”), but they glow nonetheless! And they glow really bright I might add. I went all over town yesterday and found a Michael’s that carried them, but they only had the vandyke brown, fresh green, and lavender colors. They each looked different under the blacklight, but all seemed to have the blue base glow. The main one that I cared about was the lavender (#423) and it actually turns out to look really lavender under the blacklight and glows really bright! I got them all and ordered a pack of all of the new ones. I am especially excited about the sky blue and lavender ones to add to my collection of blacklight gel pens that actually glow the color of the gel in white light (and glows BRIGHT!).
I now only need: -a white gel pen that glows white under the blacklight (I have a paint but not a gel pen) and -a true red that glows true red. Gelly roll has a red moonlight that glows very bluish (#419) and a vermillion that is a little closer to orange (and a little too pastel). I have a lot of pens that are close to red that glow brilliantly under a blacklight, but only one (from Gel Writer) that is both very close to true red in white and in black light, but it came in a 100-pack (no duplicates) that I can’t seem to find again anywhere and it’s almost empty. I’ve searched for and bought so many 100-packs trying to track down this color but without much luck. If you can hear me, Sakura, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a white (that glows white under the blacklight) and a true red (that glows true red under the blacklight). More and brighter shades of blue and purple (indigo) would be more than welcome as well. You should consider making a line that specifically glows bright under a blacklight. It’s all that I care about.
Anyone know when this will be available for amazon canada? I can't really seem to get it from other online stores. They're either sold out or i have to pay a lot for shipping.:-(
I've used the moonlight pens for years and also own most of the collections Sakura has expertly created so I was so excited to see new shades released but disappointingly, the actual ink colour is not nearly as nice as the cap colour on three out of five pens in the prepack that I purchased. These are very fine tipped and I found they skipped too frequently or simply stopped flowing. Not at all promising for future purchases.
I wish this came in the bold size 10.
Thé Moonlight series is the best!

Yay! This is so exciting to hear! Moonlight is my favorite Gelly Roll series. Thank you for sharing!
You have the prettiest handwriting ever! So jealous!!

Anything made by Sakura is high quality.

I really want to buy the set of ten darker colors but can’t find it. When will they be for sale on amazon? Also make them in 1mm please!!!

Wish these sets were available in broad. Finding them loose at a single retailer is pretty difficult.

I haven’t heard of these.
Is this only available in America?

Do they have a set with just the glitter sprakle ones in it? those are the only ones i care about
When will they be available to buy? :)
Does anyone know if these are UV blacklight reactive like the other Moonlights?? If so, I MUST get them!!
Do these glow under a UV blacklight like your other amazing Moonlight line?? Please let me know!

I love them, but can’t find the new colors in Mexico yet, where and when will be available?
Estrella Beltran well maybe you need to wait till they have them in a art or stationary store
I thought gelly rolls had to be stored flat but see you show them in a cup with the tips pointing upwards?
Don't they have to be stored horizontally? Just checking, since you have them in a cup.
Whyvis the camera so dang high?? Cant see anything like that. Cmon.
Why don't you have big swatches more separately to get an easy visual for eyes to judge
Are these permanent/ fade resistant? :O
