Fun fact. The Stahlhelm is actually one of the best designs for combat helmets that has ever been made. It protect all of the most important parts of the head in the best ways. Many countries has known this fact for a long time but purposefully avoided any design that will give the best effect as it will force the helmet to look a little like the Stahlhelm. Because of the stigma the Stahlhelm got from WW2, many helmets were made worse by not using designs from the Stahlhelm. However the world has started to go away from this in more recent years. It doesn't really make much sense to not use good design and let soldiers be wounded or die needlessly just because you didn't want to copy good design from the Stahlhelm. The helmet is not to be blamed for WW2, so we shouldn't care to much about the design of it.
That's interesting. I always wondered why nobody used the design anymore. Like even modern Germany doesn't use it, I don't think. I never really thought about the stigma that it carries. It always just seemed like a really practical design that also happened to look super cool. To me at least.

Before you argue here is the basic, fundamental Newtons Third Law "There is an equal and opposite reaction for every action", the person firing the gun will receive slightly more kinetic energy as the target as the round loses energy during its flight (unless point blank). The majority of the time, you won't actually feel the full force of the bullet when you fire it. You'll feel around... I think the general estimate I read some years ago was approximately 10-40% of the power, depending on the size of the round? One thing the live action does better than the animated film is that they actually show the armored soldiers not just slowly walking and they actually use more of their equipment to their advantage, and always being on the move to avoid actual threats that their armor cannot withstand and shooting through walls instead of engaging crowds directly. And their enemies being smart by using, flanking, bombs and anti-tank weapons. The animated film mostly showed the enemies using only smgs and the bullets just bouncing off the armor. @@junevue9665 exactly things don't always work out like that
Calmly walking looks cool but running is realistic and gives goosebumps in my opinion.
@@londoncrow500 It's absolutely not about realism, this adaptation misses the point. Slow walking and standing straight illustrates character's total domination and him being inhumane unstoppable force. It stresses the contrast between his actual "wolf" nature and the seemingly humane character that a viewer is tricked to believe in during the course of the story. It strongly serves the dramatic purpose.
There *were* live action stories in Jin-Roh universe before, Jin-Roh was actually only a part of Kerberos Saga. The Red Spectacles and Stray Dogs managed to convey powerful drama and inner conflict through extremely limited means of tongue-in-cheek amateur flicks.
