Just because someone is an avid fan of something, doesn't mean that they intrinsically understand what makes that thing good. That's why we don't have many thing's like this nowadays. The further it is pulled in one direction, the stronger the rebound will be. Our "current situation" has gone further than it should have, and the rebound is coming. At first i was disappointed about the old version getting deleted. But then i realized that this Jin-Roh AMV is doing something 90% of the other ones do not. Using footage from more than the first 10 minutes of the movie, which is quite refreshing.

I have seen several Jin roh tributes before but I gotta say this is the best I have seen so far. Especially the beginning considering the fact the slower remix together with the visual setup as it builds suspense that lets you appreciate the grim ambience.
I love the contrasts done at the beginning (starting around 0:10) : One scene depicts the beautiful nature of life and the people sprawling, life bustling with activity, and then cuts straight to depressing yet real images : poverty, strikes against unfair treatment (if that’s what’s happening here), and later into the eventual exposure to greed by the higher class. It’s so well done and somewhat subtle!

Basically every generic bad guy design that takes inspiration from WW2 Germany. 1930's/40's Germany culture is discusting and dark, but man did they have style. 80+ years later and it's still iconic super soldier/villain.
You can tell that this movie was less a movie and more of a project. The guys behind this really stretched all the skills and resources they had to make this.
Its sad we will never get these type of quality anime anymore since most of modern are cheap over sexualise fanservice slice of life, and no more wanna risk making these quality animation since it will never outsell those garbage and are very expensive RIP Passionate people of past
The funny thing is this anime is a prequal to a live action movie series from the early 80's late 70's in Japan. They decided to animate it to do justice in showing how the world went to shit... And my god did they make a great movie...
4:30 Really funny how you can cut together two parts of the whole film to just show what Fuse really is. First he hesitates and removes his mask with that showing he is a human and then, he puts on the mask is not human anymore but a wolf in human disguise.
