I have heard that some people have obtained a "more uniform/perfect" bend (almost a factory bend) by attaching two (or three) 10-foot sections together and continuously bending them through the Bootstrap bender, rather than bending individual 10-foot sections of pipe and then joining them together. Has Bootstrap Farm confirmed success with this "continuous" approach to hand-bending to reach a more perfect arch? Thank you for this very helpful instruction video.
It is possible if bending sideways but that does increase the likely hood of twisting the hoop unless very well supported. As always these are many ways to achieve a goal that varies with skill level.
Could Bootstrap Farmer's 20-foot bender be used to bend hoops for a "gothic" style hoop house 14 feet wide with a ridge at nine feet, six inches (9'- 6")?
in the video you mention to measure the "distance" of the first hoop. What is the correct distance of a 20' hoop when it is laying on the ground not under tension?
On the first pipe you indicate a mark 9 inches in. Do you do the same for all 3 poles when using the 20 foot bender? Or the 2nd and 3rd posts have marks every 18 inches and no 9 inch mark?
I forgot to mention that since we’re calculating for elliptical quadrants I made your minor radius 21’ bc it’s half of your diameter(base in this case)which is 42’.
for small projects, experiment with a few gray electrical conduit pipes... they fit together and the curve profile can be checked easily
Bent my own pipes with the same bender. Was simple and everything bent perfectly.

No, but we do have a gothic bender coming out soon. Should be 30 days out or so.
Thanks!
I would just like to find it so I can buy a set of them but I don't see it in the store

Will you ever be coming out with a Gothic high tunnel bender?
Within the next month or so.

Given that this is a hand-bent, non-machined outcome it varies by 18-24" or so.
Hi question is do you put the measurements mark on the far side of the collars edge or the inside of the collars edge?
Inside collar.
Thank you👍

You do the same thing for all three poles.
I’m wondering on the 20’ bender specifically, are you to measure 9” from swag end then every 18” to the end?
Correct
How do you contact your company to purchase a pipe bender
You can call 888-406-1982 email contact@bootstrapfarmer.com or visit www.bootstrapfarmer.com
I'm interested in the 12 ft Bender let me know how to get a hold of you so I can order one

Is your website down? Can't get on it.
Just checked, all good over here.
@@BootstrapFarmer Ok. Thank you. Must be my bad reception out here in the country. Was just curious how much the 15 foot radius manual pipe bender is.
Whst if I don't know what hoop bender size i have , I bought an entire set up no specs
Hard to say without more info. If it isn't one of ours it would be hard to say. Ask the seller?
When bending pipe for my 20 foot hoophouse, how many times should I bend at the 18 inch mark? (Should I bend 3,4,5 times?)
6 times until you reach the end of the pole.
is she speaking diameter or radius?
I want a 42' wide hoop house that's around 30' tall. What size pipe do you think it would need?
We cannot advise on specs outside of our own plans. You would need to check with a structural engineer for all considerations.

I plan on having the base 12' high, using telephone poles. Which are given to me.
Excelente. Saludos
