I think the main problem here is 2 fold. 1. The definition of value is completely different on who you ask. People say someone like Draymond is a very valuable player while playing 3rd of 4th fiddle on a team. Meanwhile Devin Booker is the only reason the Suns werent this years Warriors team. 2. Some of these guys are very biased. Chicago reporter voting in a Chicago guy, Spurs reporter voting in the Spur, and an OKC reporter voting in a Thunder player. I think they need to remove voters who have shown biases so there can be a more fair vote.
Some of these voters are wild. I don’t mind them pushing the limits at times but that is only ok if they do not affect the players’ salaries. The fact that these terrible votes can influence a player’s contract is absolutely terrible.
Your arguments about the inconsistencies between MVP voting and All NBA voting are kind of wrong. Many people and voters use teammate strength and team context to judge the MVP. So one player might be seen as better than another, while at the same time being lower than that other player in MVP because he had a more stacked team or whatever. Example: in 2018 many voters put Curry above Lillard in All NBA because they don’t take teammates into account for all NBA, but then they put Lillard above in MVP and almost exclude Curry from MVP because of teammates. They thought Curry performed better than Lillard that year, but when judging MVP they put Lillard above. Considering that’s a very common way of evaluating MVP, it makes sense and I’m surprised you didn’t see that before making your arguments.

The voters often don't watch the games and/or are just media personalities, so one can't expect they've watched smaller market teams play at all outside of highlight clips and they get their info from staff/analysts and the stats. I understand that your whole premise is that if a voter selects 5 players for the MVP you want to see them all in 1st or 2nd team all-NBA regardless of position. The one thing people would contest in your approach is that you put equal weight on 1st Team voting and MVP voting. People might argue these two have different criteria. The media is out of control in every damn sense.
It'd been a minute since the last vid. Love ya stuff man
I don't mind beat writers pushing their guys ahead because they are obviously biased and their votes cancel each other out
GOAT bball youtuber !!!
I get too hype watching these videos for some reason like "YES! EXPOSE THEY ASS!"
Richard Walker having Jaren Jackson over Trae Young is defensible.
Great vid. A solution the NBA could consider is to have a yearly review of all voters ballots to identify inconsistencies. And should there be repeat offences the voting rights are stripped
The media being corrupt...how shocking!
These awards should be voted on by players...and players should not be able to vote for themselves or teammates.
Nah bro player ballots are just as bad
It wouldn't surprise me if all of these voters moonlight as professional boxing and UFC judges. Appears they all have something in common :)
Crazy stuff. You're doing the Lord's work here.
I turn off the adblock for this guy!
Does that help you guys or is TH-cam scooping up all your ad money???
5:09 Trae* Anyway great video as always
Holy f please don’t ever give this lau dude another vote must’ve been drunk while voting 🤣🤣
Dang bro, thought you quit the channel for a sec. Glad to see you're back.
Something is rotten in Denmark....if you have 2 Guards in your top 5 mvp voting...there in NO way they should be leap frogged on the 1st team all nba
Lopez pegna must have misread the all def as all nba. There is honestly no other possible explanation.
Just how tf do you have steph, harden, lillard and irving as your nba all defensive backcourts
Especially Harden lol.
I remember Shaq getting on the list for MIP when he was on the Suns...
