Thanks for sharing your Scandinavian rail adventures - looking forward to the next installment. Copenhagen station looks fantastic. I love railway stations and could happily while away a few hours there.
Taken these trains many times. First Class had leather seats in unrefurbished sets. Pre-COVID trains on this route could be very crowded at times, partly due to them serving Kastrup for the airport. Interesting video, many thanks.
The vending machines on the Øresundståg trains hasn't been operational for many years. But on the route to Gothenburg there was an ambulating catering trolley moving through the tran - at least pre-Covid. There is no guarantee that SJs route Malmö-Gothrnburg is serviced by X2000 trains. Other train models, eg often X55, are used. Comfort on X55 is comparable to X2000 though.
I have been viewing your video on your ride from Copenhagen to Gothenburg and to Malmo. I am trying to determine which train goes to KARLSKRONA SWEDEN. Did you happen to travel through Karlkrona and if so which train was that..? I am to catch the ferry from KARLSKRONA and need to help making the connection from Copenhagen to KARLSKRONA.
Great video, and I love your channel! I live in the US and I'll be traveling from Copenhagen to Gothenburg in April. Do you have a suggestion on how to book my tickets while I'm in the US? And did you post an update on a new route to get from Copenhagen to Gothenburg?
The vending machines on the trains has been turned off for years, also the seat reservation sign is not in use anymore, its very rare that someone reserves a seat tho.
No you don't need to reserve. On the Copenhagen - Gothenburg train almost nobody reserves a seat and in Gothenburg- Oslo you can't reserve. Make sure you plan some extra time in Gothenburg on the way to Oslo, because the Gothenburg - Oslo trains are not that frequent
Very nice! Unfortunately, the seat reservation displays don't seem to be in use any more. The Belgian trains actually use the exact same front door configuration - if you look closely, the handle to open the door and the lights are located in the same places. I look forward to more videos from Denmark!
Pre-COVID, 2nd class was typically jammed with mobs of people going to the airport. DSB staff would be yelling at passengers to move their luggage away from the doors. I’ve never seen such chaos. It’s worth spending the extra money to go 1st class.
Nice video! I would ask how was the border police , did they controll the pass betwen germany- sweden? Can I travell to sweden just with teset of virus?
This Electric train looks pretty smooth, much better than Vectron hauled IC1 carriages that goes from Copenhagen to Hamburg. Why not these trains go from Copenhagen-Odense-Hamburg route and probably up to Berlin?
For me at the moment of travelling, I wasn't checked. However I think for Denmark you need to be able to show a negative test of less than 24 hours or a vaccination approval. Rules might change from day to day, so please try to inform the official information points.
Both Denmark and Sweden do have their own currency. So if you want to pay cash (what is absolutely not needed in Scandinavian countries, you can just pay by card) you need the local currency.
@@ekremyasinyaylali6527 No, Denmark has banned the Euro entirely, so no kroner for you! Only joking, of course you can, in fact the Danish Kroner is basically valued at a fixed rate to the Euro so they are closely related currencies. They even have both Euro and Kroner ATMs in Denmark as it is an EU country.
You shouldn't need to as you're in the Schengen area, borders within Europe are a thing of the past. However Sweden over the past 6 years have done ID checks on trains into the country, so take your passport.
0:07 ...via Malmö to - what?! Suggestion: Pronounce Göteborg as the swedes do - dutchmen are able to do that (although you do not really look dutch?), or like the anglos (Gothenburg), but refrain from coming up with any uninvited 'innovations'. Anyhow: Thanks for trying, but I think it's become clear that there are better things to do
Great vlog! Very beautiful scenery. Very informative. Greetings from Plano, Texas, United States.
I've taken this train to! It is such a good connection!
I took this train from Copenhagen to Gothenburg in 2010. Amazing experience!

I love the gangway of the x31 trains!
Beautifully shot! Thanks for sharing what the journey is like 😊

So nice tour. I like to travel by train too. Thanks my friend. Greetings from Vietnam
As per your request, just writing to say "hello" :-)
im portuguese and i love all counties of Scandinavia
Wow so cool😲

Am I missing something ? 18 minutes stationary and less than 3 minutes of actual travel !!
This is standard format for this channel. I for one, like the focus on the starting station in these videos.
The vending machines on the trains has been turned off for years, also the seat reservation sign is not in use anymore, its very rare that someone reserves a seat tho.
3:50 20 years ago, at the bottom of these steps you indeed found junkies sleeping, and it reeked like urine. Glad to see its changed....
Are reservations required and if not is it recommended? We plan to go from Copenhagen to Oslo in August.
You spent 90% of the video showing us the railway station and the seats on the train. I am more interested in the journey.
So it is possible to have a bike in the train from Copenhagen to Gothenburg?
Qual a melhor maneira de ir de trem de copenhagen para gotembugo, sem precisar trocar de trem em Malmo ?
Very nice! Unfortunately, the seat reservation displays don't seem to be in use any more.

Fun fact: this train is the first train i have peed (and i remember)
Pre-COVID, 2nd class was typically jammed with mobs of people going to the airport. DSB staff would be yelling at passengers to move their luggage away from the doors. I’ve never seen such chaos. It’s worth spending the extra money to go 1st class.
Leuke video. Kan je even je kursus Engels (hoofdstuk verleden tijd) nalezen ?
Is it available to carry a big luggage (23kg) on the train from Goteborg to Copenhagen?
Of course. It's a train, no plane.
Nice video! I would ask how was the border police , did they controll the pass betwen germany- sweden? Can I travell to sweden just with teset of virus?
Rules may be different per moment, I can't answer this question unfortunately the best thing is to check thus at the official authorities.
Is this train Electric all the way from Copenhagen to Gotemburg? Or does it change to Diesel midway?
All electric :)
This Electric train looks pretty smooth, much better than Vectron hauled IC1 carriages that goes from Copenhagen to Hamburg. Why not these trains go from Copenhagen-Odense-Hamburg route and probably up to Berlin?
When traveling from Malmo to Copenhagen where there any restrictions related to Covid ?

Hii!! Can I ask a question? Can I buy a ticket from Copenhagen to Gothenburg with EURO currency?

@@Trainviking I don’t use credit or debit card, I must pay cash… Thanks for answer me…May I exchange Euro to DKK…

It would be great if put Denmark train official booking link
💚🌍💪
You got a thumbs up from a young lady right before the intro music.
Haha this happens more often people do something like this. Some more fun things like this coming up ;)
Ik hoorde echt binnen een seconden dat je Nederlander bent 😅 We can't hide who we are 😛
Ja daar kan ik niet omheen idd.
What do you need for traveling I mean I need passport or not
You ALWAYS need a valid travel document to travel. If you're form the E.U. an ID card would be good. Otherwise a pasport
You shouldn't need to as you're in the Schengen area, borders within Europe are a thing of the past. However Sweden over the past 6 years have done ID checks on trains into the country, so take your passport.
After 2021 de øresundståg dosent go to helsingør de longest the train goes in to denmark is österport
I guess it's time to go to Denmark again soon (we'll I'll wait for the new Talgo and Alstom trains)
@@Trainviking What new trains?
Too popular, and always crowded, although interiors are nicest in Denmark
It's a good thing it's populair, I guess the reservation system should work a bit better on these trains though.
