PS. Agreed! I visited Finland last year and still remain enchanted with its nature. Hoping to visit Sweden in the near future and nature will be my main focus! Not gonna travel 2000 km just to see cities, I've got cities all over central Europe, thank you very much!

I live in France, Toulouse. For me, the most beautiful place is Kiruna. I spent 9 days there in February 2019. Amazing! Northern Lights,; the Sami village with reindeer herders ; dog sledding; the visit of the iron mine of LKAB; the Jukkasjärvi Ice Hotel; snowmobile ride! unforgettable! I hope to come back in summer with the midnight sun.
Sweden has so much nature and landscapes that people forget about since most just focus on Stockholm. It's such a versatile country, farmlands and fields in the south, highlands and archipelago in the middle and the beautiful north that has high mountains and lapland!
As a Swede, Visby, Stockholm + it's archipelago and Österlen are my recommendations for tourists. All in summer time.

As a swede i recomend Gotland, even if Visby is fantastic, the Whole island is magnificent. Beatuifull coastlines and shores. Its an large island, from north to South 200 km. The nature somethimes look as mediterian, shifts fast to look like the north of Sweden. One of the largest silver tresaures in northen europé, the ”spillings” was found in Gotland. You can visit the fornsalen museum to check it out. I strongley rekomend The fairytell mytologic Island Gotland, and the magic town Visby, With its magnificent ring Wall!
And västkusten
I just love to see my own country trough others eyes, makes me proud.

I mean it’s a nice list and beautiful spots, but as most comments suggests the nature is where Sweden is most beautiful. Just a couple places I can recomend:
Vålådalen
Dalsland in fall (incredible colors), Håverud is a strong recomendation
Fjällbacka/grebbestad region (nice towns as well)
Sydkoster and Nordkoster
Söderåsens nationalpark
Tivedens nationalpark
Stora sjöfallet nationalpark
Sarek nationalpark
Höga kusten (high coast)
Theres lots more, but these are just of the top of my head!

Ive hiked a mountain 1 time no like 2
Just a comment on "unspoiled forests". Very little of Swedens forests are actually unspoiled. 2-3 percent of the forests are truly untouched. With that said, go out in the Swedish nature. We DO have forests and a lot of them. Lakes and streams too. It is a country where you actually can be completely alone, hear no one and see the stars without any other disturbing light source. Just be careful. Swedish nature is mostly nice to you, but if you go out alone, take the necessary precautions of telling someone that you will go out and when you will be back.
And do not forget to load up on true Swedish meatballs! :)

I live in Sweden. I can say if you want to come Sweden. Than come in summer. I am sure you will not want to go back in your country. If you come you should visit Visby,Stockholm and kiruna.
They are not the friendliest in Europe. I would say that are very reserved.
