    I took the refurbished X2000 several times and every time I'm amazed by the quality of the ride. Sure it's not nearly as fast as the ICE or Thalys/TGV, but the comfort is truly excellent, in my opinion clearly better than the 2 aforementioned. I also think the interior is very stylish, SJ did a great job with the refurbishing.

    Fun fact: The red "buttons" on the interior doors isn't buttons nor connected to anything, instead there are motion sensors near the roof that opens the door when you move your hand in that area, thats why you had to struggle when trying to open a door that was not completly closed. If you had waved your hand in the air where the button would have been if the door was closed it would have opened instantly. :)
    The sensor can be seen near the roof above every door as a white box with a black cut out on the bottom.

    There are actually two locks on the inside of the X2000's toilet doors. One that you use to lock the door when you want to use the facility - and one that I still don't know why it is there. It is that lock that you are fiddling with. Just above the handle. I suspect that the second lock may simply be there to lock the toilet if it is out of order.

    • @Rodoeht12345
      @Rodoeht12345 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The upper lock is to get out if the toilet stops working. If it stops working, an electro-magnetic lock will automatically lock the door and that upper lock is to bypass it in case you are still in there.

The footbridge is metal, and when it is covered in snow, it is lethal like a skating rink ! I had to cling to handrails and pray I did not fall to my death. The 4 storey pink coloured building at 2:00 on the left side of the railway, is the Hotel Astoria, which is where I stayed twice.

There is only so many IC3’s left because they where meant to be replaced decades ago by the IC4 but today there’s less IC4 operational than IC3’s because they where made so badly so just the fact that there’s still even IC3’s running is amazing. Also Eurocity routes often use older trains and reserve the newest for the country I can imagine once the IC5 arrives in 2027-2028 it will probably be replaced by IC3 again maybe even IC4
