Been watching your videos for a while I’ve loved lowriding since way before I could even drive legally I’ve always been in the racing scene and just recently got a chance to start lowriding all your videos and info have been great and you got a lifetime new subscriber here thanks for everything you do
I use to think that way too but after building so many from beginning to end, if I see a nice build at a good price, I'm not going to say no just because I didn't build it. I also have a good friend that builds them for a living, I will support him like I would any other friend that owns a business by using him when I can. Don't get me wrong, there is more pride in a car that you have built yourself but to me there is nothing wrong with buying a well built car.
Nows a good time to pick other people's projects. I still build all my own shit but saving decently built cars is a good move as it's going to save you a couple grand and see some time.
In Northern Va, wish I was closer to y'all. Not much of a lowrider community here that I know of. Love all your videos, very informative. Building an 85 Ranger, getting close to purchasing a juice set up. Watching your videos has really helped expand my knowledge. It's my first build, but has been pretty extensive already. Keep up the good work!
I noticed your front suspension lift travel is limited. Those upper control arms are hitting the frame prematurely, not allowing enough cylinder lift. That hinders the hopping motion. My situation is similar so I'm building my own upper control arms with plenty of space for downward travel, maximizing cylinder lift for more bounce.
I actually prefer wrapping the rear perches instead of a bridge one reason is upon failure I can rewrap the perch and I’ll be good if a bridge fails (it being welded on good) it brings the frame with it
Russell Harris Lowrider Hydraulics you can run chains you just can’t run em like a bridge, I usually run em on the back of em and gusset it, a bridge is stronger until failure, nothing against em tho
On top of the frame, the ears tend to tear and factory welds break. I’d at least plate the ears and the top of the frame. Obviously the sides should be plated as well.
@@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS could you do an in-depth video on how to reinforce the frame such as key places, and what type of metal to use and where to get it.
You have some nice informative videos. Can you do one on high lockups, bridges and what type of 4 links to use preferably on a Cadillac like the one in this video.
Where in Tennessee are u located. I'm moving to Tennessee at the end of the year are have been planning on buying a lowrider for the last few years just haven't been able to make it happen with all the other toys. Would love to get more info down the road
@@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS bro I'm moving that way and start work Nov 4th at that location. Put me on. I grew up in CA seeing cars hop on the freeway in traffic and finally in a position to buy one for myself. We have to link up
Hey bro. Just seen your tags and we’re in the same city. I’m building a 64 Impala. Trying to see if you have a shop or just get some advice on building. Looking for a community in the area
Y does everyone go for the same basic car of what u first think about when the term lowrider is mentioned it’s either no original ideas or ppl don’t know cars
Correct, the Fleetwood in the video was originally suppose to be a lay and play setup but my son loves to hit the switch and hop it so we will be reinforcing it soon.
There are some parts in your video while you explain are kinda low when you turn away from the camera and the wind comes in. Can you get a lavender mic for later? Thank you.

Awesome video...Any advise on how to stop the tubes from rubbing against frame in the rear.
What tubes are rubbing?
SO GLAD TO SEE YOU HOMIES BACK .😷🇲🇽💪🏽👏🏼👍🏼🙏🏼

Cylinder travel does not equal to more bounce. To get more inches in hopping it’s more about the spring.
Great info
Good video. Alot of snakes in the grass out there.

True, but you can’t run chains with spring perches. Doing a solid bridge is definitely more structurally strong.

great video thank you for sharing your knowledge
When you said you needed to reinforce the front end for hopping, what specifically would need reinforced for hopping on top of the frame?
On top of the frame, the ears tend to tear and factory welds break. I’d at least plate the ears and the top of the frame. Obviously the sides should be plated as well.

I can do that. I have several more videos planned ahead of that but I’ll make it happen

I’m doing a 86 Monte with just a lay and play set up do I still need to get the frame reinforced?
Yes, arches and rear end.

I have posted a video on hopping before. Look through all the videos I’ve posted.
Tap the switch dont hold it
