Good info I love being able to swap springs with out having the take everything apart but unfortunately that's not always the case it sure makes swapping cylinders easy
I like to wrap a tow strap around the upper and lower control arm. It allows me to loosen and tighten pressure when taking apart and reinstalling. Good video my man thanks for sharing all your knowledge. It is appreciated!
Chains only act as a fail safe in case the ball joint breaks mainly. It can also help keep you from breaking ball joints. Doesn’t affect the hop much, but a lot of dancers use chains to give it that snap.
Hey man can you make a video on how to know what links and where to adapt the chains at? Because I want to put some chains on mine but I don’t know where to put them nor how long they need to be can you please help?
Lots of great info. Insta subscribe. I have to replace the control arm shaft on my 90 this weekend and naturally have to remove the cylinder as well. I’m running full stack 5 tons, you think removing the ball joint nut connecting to the cylinder will give it enough clearance for it to come out? The lower should swing down with the spindle assembly for lots of room.
Hey Russell I enjoy your videos I have a question I have a 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood thinking about getting juiced fbss Lay n play set up how much reinforcement do I need I’m in Arizona all the shops here are saying I don’t need to reinforce the rear at all

I could see how that would work. Thank you for the comment.
How much would you charge to install lowrider hydrolics?
I don’t actually do installs outside of my own cars and club members. Depending on your location, I could suggest an installer close to you.
@@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS oh well thanks I actually found one today actually.. what car club you in?

really awesome video and channel. question. did your control arms come with the chains or did you modify them? really good idea. thanks for the video
The control arms were custom made with the chain mounts and chain mounts were welded onto the frame.
does the flat side sit on the cup or in the pocket of the arm?
Cup side.
@@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS Thanks man!
Can you get good inches with the chains or will the car chip?

Thanx for the videos!👍🏼
Did u put cut end on top or bottom??
Bottom. Flat side is up where the cup slides in. Flat part of the cup meets the flat part of the spring.

Ok, jus making sure mines is correct! Thanx!✊🏼
I suggest after you cut the coil you round the sharp edges of what is left so it does not dig into the lower control arm.

Yes sir, Should have plenty of room.
Is your frame reinforced on that fleetwood I have a 77 coupe I wanna put switches on
How long is the chain that you have from the bottom control arm to the frame
It’s different with each vehicle. I do it one link just before full lockout with no chain.
Do you have a video on how to put the chain and bracket on
U sure that's a 3/4 ton??
3 1/4 ton not 3/4 ton
I do now see why you ask that. We don’t use anything under 2 ton normally so I didn’t even catch that I was saying it that way lol.
@@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS I knew you knew lol. Thats not a van spring 😎
lol your son at the end is making it pretty clear that he’s rather be somewhere else 😂😂😂
