Their also the nicest people. I use to go to car shows a lot and because I had a Honda I’m the show I would hang out with the other people who have imports but they were all fuckin douche bags. So then I eventually started hanging out with the low rider group while the shows go on and they were always the most accepting and down to earth people.
I love that not only Mike is having fun and giggling, but also that the professionals are doing the same right along with him watching him learn their passion and profession. 10/10 wholesome level.
@@phoenixrising4073I swear these people follow me around. I’m always getting these preaching responses to my comments. I don’t understand why they feel the need to spread that when it wasn’t asked for.
You only need to see one that has been done poorly to throw you off the idea. One idiot who doesn't do maintenance or bounces with hard tires and you think its just a completely stupid idea. But like with lifted trucks its a neat idea that quickly turns trashy if the people doing it aren't willing to put in the time or money to make it work right.
Great to see Mike having so much fun in this video .What I find hilarious is the reactions my wife gets with her car in public .The looks on their faces when she gets in it and shows the young ones who it really belongs to and how it is done is priceless .She is a very short and petite 60 plus year old grandma .The car in question a 1964 Chevy Impala she has owned 43 years and counting .The sound of that sweet sounding 409 firing up and great pipes to boot is music to my ears .She has put over one million miles on this car herself .She was the one who pulled it out of the swamps and completely restored it all by herself way back when .The notion only men appreciate and can restore these cars is far from true .Here is your proof .This is not the only classic car she owns either .Every few years she strips it down and repaints it a different color depending on her mood at the time .She is thinking of Cobalt Blue this time instead of the Red and White it formerly was .When asked why she doesn't sell it she tells them she is just getting it broken in.Naturally her daughters ,grandkids and most of their friends were taught how to drive in this car .
I never have laughed so hard. Seeing Mike and his Camera crew start off with Baby bumps to a full on bounce out. Mike your faces you made and the laughing was hysterical. This is your best episode. I loved it.
Nice coverage of the lowrider culture. The ill advised stunt at the end was a priceless turbulent thrill ride! I like when your cap flew off. Three thumbs up!
My best friend in high school father worked at GM. They restored a 64 Impala and put an engine in it that his dad got from the lab that he worked at. His dad's job at GM was to test the engines and try and break them. They didn't turn it into a lowrider though because they were white guys
This was the best episode so far! Mike was having a blast & it brought the Lowrider culture to a broad audience in a positive light! That’s a family living the American dream in 3 wheel motion! Great show!
I went and took an Automotive Collision class and left with the love for painting and airbrushing, my dream is to be able to work on some traditional lowriders once I have a good grasp of what I can and can’t do, I find that lowriders have some of the most beautiful paint jobs you’ll find on a vehicle all the way down to the bolts in the frame. Seeing stuff like this always makes me hopeful I’ll find a group of guys to build a car with one day.
Yeah. Not my scene but some of those cars are works of art. I have to admire sometime willing to paint/chrome/etch/whatever every last nut and bolt, and still be willing to cruise with it.
Mike is now the home boy the vato loco. This is so much fun. I used to watch this on Saturday nights down in Riverside. Now he’s singing all my friends call me low rider
Not something I like, but cannot help but admire the craftsmanship of the builds. Not to mention the skill to actually get a good hop. C[_] cheers to the masters of the craft.
You are a national treasure Mike Rowe. When most TV programing was absolute junk Mike and crew entertained and educated in a new and hilarious way. Glad I found this channel.
I had hydraulics on my mini truck WAY before the airbag craze came along. As a white guy in a mini truck, I’d go out to LA and hang with lowrider crowds with their Impalas and Caprices. We’d do BBQs and car shows and cruise. My blonde hair, blue eyed, girlfriend and I were so out of place it was comical, yet no one cared. We use to have so much fun throwing switches with the lowrider crowd. It’s definitely not for everyone. But if you look at it all as a love for cars and nothing else, it’s an absolute blast, with some great people and some amazing memories.
Laughed so hard i cried at this, as a gearhead, car show and sound system competitor myself this car scene is a way of life and not for the faint of heart. I grew up drawing lowriders and buying lowrider magazine and lowrider arte. Built lowrider models but getting to see this brought back so many memories of my younger days. Thank you mike rowe this was amazing.
Never thought I’d need this in my life on a Friday! But hell yea Mike Rowe! Can’t wait for next Friday already! Going to be tough to beat this one. A lot of laughs on this week’s episode
Absolutely love this man this is like what we've all been wanting and waiting for Mike glad you had an amazing time and it look like a blast you never disappoint with the content ever you haven't since Dirty Jobs was made much l9ve to ya Mike your a national treasure ❤️
Mike from the bottom of my heart thank you for what you do and all the laughs! This brings so much joy to my day love this show I’d love to experience half the things you have in my life don’t ever stop.
As a Rowe, I love seeing Mike get involved in this! I've been a low rider since '94 here in Houston Texas. It was my introduction to cars. This made me smile!! 😃😃😃
Im not into lowriders. However i can appreciate any passion. Its beautiful the way these guys take pride in their work. The ride is a little bumpy. Mad respect for mike.
I have never seen Mike smile and laugh so much. Where I live the have a car show like this during Cinco De Mayo it so cool. Mike is having so much fun! 🤣😂😁
The impalas are popular because of the X frame. It allows for easier 3 wheeling. However, over you get deep into the scene, you end up plating and reinforcing the entire frame. Otherwise you'll kink panels and pop out glass.
The expressions on his face...priceless!! Just like a kid with a new toy. This made my day and I haven't stopped smiling!! Thamks Mike. Peace and Love from Australia
Mike, Big fan of your show. You look like you're having a blast doing what you're doing. As a loyal fan I must tell you that you committed a MAJOR party foul when you were leaning with your elbows and hands all over El jefe's '58 Chevy. He may have been too polite or maybe it was because cameras were rolling but you can bet he was thinking it. Now the kid's G-body, you're not going to hurt anything leaning on that but as a rule, when a car is as nice as the Bel Aire was, don't use it as a leaning post.
Not going to lie I think Mike had more fun in this video than any other one. It’s amazing what a lowrider will do, people may stereotype the people but everyone smiles and loves these cars.
I had a 78 delta with 2 pumps. Mike is on the spot with asking why it’s so funny. That car was the most entertaining car I ever had. Constant laughing and cracking up in it
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Mike have so much fun and laugh in a video, ever, like this.😂😂😂
Gotta love the culture 👌
This is what I need from Mike his enjoyment made me smile the whole time
I was thinking the same thing too
Came to type the same thing 😂
He looked so giddy😂
Never knew I needed Mike Rowe hittin switches in my life.
Great episode to spotlight the culture.
I think this is the happiest I have ever seen Mike be, while filming a show. Enjoy yourself and your work.
OMG! I haven’t LAUGHED so hard in a LONG TIME!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Thanks Mike🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Better than cleaning sewage or shoving your arm into a cow...
Seeing Mike throw a peace sign in a low-rider, hopping... timeless fun.
You'll never see someone in a lowrider without a smile on their face. We needed to see Mike do this!
Their also the nicest people. I use to go to car shows a lot and because I had a Honda I’m the show I would hang out with the other people who have imports but they were all fuckin douche bags. So then I eventually started hanging out with the low rider group while the shows go on and they were always the most accepting and down to earth people.
No doubt! The lowrider community is, by far, the least toxic of all car scenes
They are extremely friendly.
The best example of cultures colliding in a positive manner. We need more of this in our live folks.
I love that not only Mike is having fun and giggling, but also that the professionals are doing the same right along with him watching him learn their passion and profession.
10/10 wholesome level.
Props to Mike and the Homies. Best episode ever.
literally the homies LOL
ForRealz
I agree it was extremely entertaining.
Never would’ve thought I’d see Mike Rowe in a low rider shop or hopping in a low rider Lmfao
Let alone actually send it
What did it for me is when he threw a peace sign.
Dug amazing film man

i use to think the hydraulics thing ridiculous but this show really does open your eyes to all the reasons these hobbies fun and exciting
I like hydrolics Korean then donk Rims on em for sure..

I couldn’t agree more. And I’m a big car guy. But never understood the hydro side of it. But this definitely gave me another perspective 👍
Never think someone's hobby is ridiculous! Everyone's got their thing!

I'm so glad Mike Rowe exists
Nice coverage of the lowrider culture. The ill advised stunt at the end was a priceless turbulent thrill ride! I like when your cap flew off. Three thumbs up!
Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
You guys need to do way more like this, I was smiling the entire time
Of all my years watching TH-cam and Mike Rowe, this video has put a huge smile on my face 😄
I've never seen Mike smile and have this much fun and also feel COOL while hitting switches. Best episode ever!
Mike Rowe bendin corners and hittin switches is awesome 😳😂🙏🍾🍾🍾
I am willing to bet that the engineers at the big 3 never would of considered their creation would be modified for that. Good stuff Mike and crew
Na, why else would they have made Impalas then?
nor the aerospace engineers who made the landing gear function lol
My best friend in high school father worked at GM. They restored a 64 Impala and put an engine in it that his dad got from the lab that he worked at. His dad's job at GM was to test the engines and try and break them. They didn't turn it into a lowrider though because they were white guys
This was so much fun to watch! Mike laughing at every hop/jump had me laughing so hard 😂😂😂
Laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes and breaking a sweat. Only Mike.......
The staff at homies hydraulics is hella cool. I got my 64 frame wrapped there. Thank you fellas 👊🏽

Absolutely agree. It's becoming a lost art. Good luck! ❤
6:50 guys laugh is gold & contagious 😂
You can tell Mike is thoroughly enjoying himself and respects the art. This is great
Loved it. Your ability to cross genres and cultures and have everyone smiling is amazing.
You say that as if its hard.
Mike is now the home boy the vato loco. This is so much fun. I used to watch this on Saturday nights down in Riverside. Now he’s singing all my friends call me low rider
Ahhh...Market St...lol. 'E' St in Berdoo was my go to. 😂
MIKE ROWE= WHEN YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO, YOU’LL NEVER WORK A DAY IN YOUR LIFE” GOD BLESS YOU THE CREW AND YOUR FAMILIES
Oh my gosh, you’re smiling like a little boy. This was truly so fun to watch!😂
This was fun! I have never seen mike laugh so hard.
Didn't expect to see Mike go full Cholo. This may be the best video on TH-cam.
Mike's childlike joy is contagious! Way to go!!
The end was the best! The kid laughing his heart out on TV and he appreciated it you can tell. What a great kid and family!
This guy is a legend
This Channels is even BETTER its YOU having a BLAST

Absolutely loved this episode. Good to see Mike having some fun!
Probably one of the coolest vids. Mike just one of those guys that can hang with anybody
I laughed so hard.

Mike seemed to really enjoy hitting that 3 wheel motion bending those turns. 😃
Thank you for shining a good light on lowriding showing people that we are truly having fun and living dreams. It’s a awesome time anytime you lowride
Mike you never cease to amaze me. You have an awesome presence and have a great time everywhere you go. Thank you

I smiled for all 17 minutes of this. Excellent display of the love in the culture

That gives me the giggles. I wonder how long that would last. Probly as long as the car does. The belairs and impalas and such are really well done.

On this case nobody HAS to do it, they just can't help their creative selves!
This is what makes America great!!!! Greatest episode ever!

The styling of these cars is so over the top but done so well they look great! You can tell a lot of love and personality went into each ride
Love that '58 Chevy !
i could watch mike drive a low rider all day long 🤣

This might be my favorite piece of Mike Rowe content ever

I was smiling the whole time. Low rider folks and events are always fun
