You don’t need them if you know what you are doing When fabricating and doing your high lock up never put one on any of my cars and I run 30s and all my cars
Where are you located? And I have a 3 pump setup but! No standing 3 wheel I bought the car with juice on it already and I know it had standing 3 wheel before.
What if I’m running a fbss whammy tank with 8 batteries and wanna add a single pump to the front is it the same as your explaining or a different set up
It’s a little different. The whammy tank fittings and dumps would need to be changed as if each side was a single pump with one dump on each side and now only running to the rear cylinders. The new pump with 2 dumps would be hooked up to the front hoses. The wiring would have to be change a little as well.
Thank you for your videos, finally got a lowrider and your videos have helped me through all my questions . I do have just one though. I have a 2 pump 4 batteries mini truck . Issue is for the rear the bed tilts up first before the rear raises. I'd like to run a separate switch for that. Do I need another dump, or pump for that?
Not sure I follow what the issue is. You have to tilt the bed before you can raise the truck in the rear? Those should be on two separate pumps or you have a dump manifold.
@@russellharris2621 yes sir, I only have 2 pumps and correct if I wanted to just raise the rear the bed had to tilt first before the rear will raise. Just didn't know if I wanted to just raise the rear if I had to add another pump for just the tilt or add a manifold or what not.
@@ramonrodriguez8161 Should have 3 options, I’m assuming you already have some kind of dump manifold, I would first look into modifying that. Option 2, if it doesn’t have a dump manifold, you could add one and fix all your problems. Option 3, add another pump and dump just for the rear. Hard to know what to do without seeing the setup. If you’d like to message me directly and send me photos, my direct links should be in the description.
@@russellharris2621 thank you boss man, I truly do appreciate you taking time out of your day to answer my questions. And I will send you photos of the setup, please don't laugh. I just got it the way it is and am planning on redoing everything. That's why I look at your videos because it's helped out a lot.
hey man, do you know anyone in Arkansas that messes with hydraulic setups? also im having a hard time figuring out if i can do what im wanting to do. i got an obs chevy truck and just want a simple front and back setup its on like a 5/7 static drop at the moment and was my brothers, he passed away and i really want to fix his old truck up now and want to keep it low but adjustable, not worried about hopping just not a fan of bags. for what im wanting to do can i keep the leaf spring setup? cant find any examples of people running hydraulics with leaf springs but have read that it can be done just not the best setup. since i dont want to go crazy with trying to build a hopper could i make it work with the leafs?
Yes you can. That’s how we use to do it on trucks if we didn’t build a bridge. Contact me on Instagram Russell.mf.Harris or Facebook “Lowrider hydraulic tips”. I can send you some examples and tell you what to do.
@@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS hey thanks a lot man, i will be hitting you up. got a few questions just dont want to bother you till i get ready to start on the truck. hoping i can get it torn apart so i can get to working on it over the summer.
Another well done video fam! You're doing a great service to the community!
Thanks for this and all the vids so far! 👍
Do you have a video 3 vs 4 pumps? Or how much pumps to run
Thanks for the Great video..could u send me all the wiring diagram for the 3 pump set up please
Thanks for the videos. What about slip yolks when should they be used?
Depends on the car but normally you will start to need one once you go above 12 inch cylinders in the rear.

Would u make a video how to add a 3rd pump to a 2set up

If I have a 2 pump 6 battery setup and want to add a 3rd pump do i need to go to 8 batteries
Not necessarily
So the 6 should still be good enough to stand still 3
May not stand but yes you can run 6 batteries.
Great info
Piston pump vs regular pump? What's a whammy tank?
a whammy tank is a tank with a pump on each side.
