Alex was Born and bred in Glasgow..He's been working now in various Chinese takeaways as a delivery driver for the past few years or so..Most of what he's learnt is just by watching the chefs..
In all my videos i use a high power burner so cooking temperature's may vary cooking on a normal hob..Not all takeaways will ignite the food the way i do and just cook in the normal fashion..This is just my preference..The most important part is using the correct condiments and you will produce some amazing results..My subscribers are testament to that which i'm pleased about..

That's how I felt about a lot of dishes Alex. Mastered a good few now that are family favour favourites since I came across yourself zyang n khoo. Spelling might be wrong. The big man's up his own arse now tho (chin n choo) canae watch him anymore he gives me the boak haha 👍

Can’t say too much about you know who but fully understand, and your not alone. I try to keep things as simple as possible and show people exactly how it’s done in a takeaway, straight from the wok to the table. I’m not in the big league but I like to think my food is. I’m happy enough just plodding away, for me that’s the main thing, cheers mate.

Literally drooling after watching this!! The Thai chilli sauce you mention, is it the same as sweet chilli sauce as I cannot seem to find it?

Thanks Naymo, any decent good quality sweet chilli Thai sauce wil do . Supermarkets all sell it , takeaways will normally use catering sized tub’s but would be too much for home use, cheers mate

Thanks Darren..You can make as much as you want and then pop in the freezer..Takeaways do the same if it's not all used then fried from frozen..

I buy some stuff from Seewoo but mostly from Chung Yings in Cowcaddedns..They're a lot cheaper..I've never made hot and sour before and never seen it made in the takeaway so been kinda avoiding it at the moment..I don't want to venture into something i know nothing about...It's a regional dish and made in so many ways..I need to get my hands on the Glasgow version which is different again from down south..

Thanks foodster..If you google general Tso you'll find there's loads of recipes to choose from.I've made it loads of times but just for myself and a good suggestion by the way..It's not a UK dish only found in North American Chinese restaurants One of the reasons i haven't made it..I try to stick to UK themed takeaway style dishes, well Glasgow style to be honest..Some takeaways in the UK might have it but i've never heard of it..I haven't a clue why it's not on the menu because it's super tasty..I'm going to ask a few chefs i know now that you've mentioned it and ask them why it's not on the menu but that's my reason cheers pal..
