    Thanks so much for the video. Unfortunately we all need it because this horribly designed part is never mentioned in aftermarket clutch lever instructions.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is very true. But then again aftermarket levers usually don’t come with instructions and also meant for mechanics to install. But we learn through our mistakes and spread the knowledge. ✌️

      This fix is really a life saver. Be very caution next time you remove your clutch lever, and since the clutch safety switch kit is so cheap, buy two to have extra. The rear brake uses the same safety switch. It can never hurt to always have extras handy.

    Great video. I had no cruise control or auto blipper and it turns out the aftermarket levers that were fitted when I bought the bike do not engage the clutch safety switch at all!
    Now i'm trying to hunt down the piece that looks to be missing from the bottom of this clutch lever!

  • @popwatch905
    @popwatch905 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the vid. A tip you might use is to not turn the two nuts together. The whole point of having two is that the second (or last or outer) one locks down the first one so it will never turn until you loosen the outer one. It's called a jam-nut, among other things, and it absolutely jams the inner nut to where it can never self-adjust. Tighter the first to where you want it, then hold it and snug the outer one up against it and it is solid. Might require a specialized wrench with those thin nuts but you can probably just tighten the inner, then the outer and be fine. Also, the gap at the lever to the perch applies to all bikes, microswitch and auto-blip or not. The reason is that if the lever is pulled tight, you cannot be sure it is not pulling on the clutch release mechanism just a bit, which could cause your clutch to slip to some degree. Clutch levers have required that gap since the beginning. Thanks again.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Yes my wrench grabs both nuts and can’t really tighten them individually. But its all good as it stayed in place just fine.

    • @ALFAVITAGA

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s not plastic, it’s full carbon fiber. I got it from AF1 Racing, but last I checked it was not in stock. Other carbon fiber manufacturers should sell it.

    Hi, I also broke the clutch lever switch, I have a Tuono V4 1100 2020, today I went out and noticed that the bike splutters a lot when releasing and has reduced power, could it be that the problem is due to the broken switch? Thanks to your video I understood how to repair it.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@domenicocarofiglio7243 Thank you! If these symptoms started once your safety switch broke, then it’s due to the broken switch. Other ways to know that your switch is broken is that the auto blipper does not work, the cruise control does not work, and the bike wont rev past a certain RPM.

    • @domenicocarofiglio7243

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I installed it but never did a video on it. It came as one with the front sprocket cover from Flyhammer. I show it on this video. th-cam.com/video/yzQYhrjx-6o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FNoVkYJS3MBtRKo5 Its an extra safety but I can’t tell I felt any difference in shifting. Doesn’t hurt to have it especially if you track your bike.
