So you have the Core Moto Apex-6 wheels now, have you thought about installing Core Moto stainless steel brake lines? Seems like a logical addition considering all the very nice brake upgrades you have done.
@@akersquarteracre8002 I will look into it. My guess is that as long as I keep the ABS, steel brake lines won’t make much of a difference. But not a bad addition 👌
Unfortunately, gabro is of no use, especially mtorque completely killed the engine. on sc gp22 velocity sprint air filter

Bike sounds wicked. Nice review. Initial weight difference on the wheels may seem small, but since it is rotational mass, the effect on performance is huge. The wheel design allows for keeping more of the mass towards the center hub instead of the outer rim.

Having the Mtorque map even with stock gearing the tank will be in your chest if you hit the throttle hard or not. I rode mine on the track with the new map wheeew, you'd better hold on and manage that throttle respectfully.

On the brakes, since the rotors are new you most likely need more material on them for friction. I ran GPFAX on the track and street and once that material got on the rotors ohhh man, snap your neck braking. Side note Sunday its time to jump back on my RSV4 got the MTorque map also. Nice vid dude.
From searching around the rims are ~$3000 so I’m assuming you’re including tires (with labor), rotors and pads in the $5000 price? If so, I don’t think saying it’s a 5k upgrade is fair. You can always wait to upgrade when your pads and tires need a change - those are wear items that’ll be replaced regardless if you get the rims or not. But overall I agree on being track only. You can see the difference on the street, but probably shouldn’t be riding hard enough to do so.
@@andy9775 By keeping the same tires and all components, one can even find used forged rims for around $2000. Maybe not Core Moto wheels but definitely Malgatech. I’ve even seen forged rims going for less if they have a few cosmetic defects. Essentially you could get the weight savings for less than $3k. I grouped the upgrade as a whole with all parts upgraded. Thats why it reached $5k. As a whole, I don’t think it’s worth the cost for the street. But with a good deal under $3k, it would make more financial sense. But as you also mentioned, not seeing the difference on the street could be a good thing. It means you are riding on a safer pace ✌️
Despite all that I still wanna get some OZ or dymag for my RS660 - they look so much nicer than stock. I wonder how much of a difference it would make on a lower power bike. I’d imagine you’d feel more of a difference.

Even with just my front wheel on it makes a big difference. Luke got back intouch me and is sending washers for my rear wheel. Im excited to feel the full effect. Probably going to have him make me a rotor carrier if they solve the issue. Thanks for your content its saved me time upgrading my bike.

DISCLAIMER: Core Moto rear wheel, weighs 5.05lbs less than stock wheel. Core Moto front wheel, weighs 1.75lbs less than stock wheel. The reason my front wheel weighs the same and my rear wheel weighs only 2.43lbs less, is because the weight comparison was not performed with equal components. Heavier front brake rotors, heavier brand new tires compared to worn out tires, lighter sprocket was installed on stock wheel instead of stock sprocket. The weight comparison was to determine the current weight difference of my current setup, not the Core Moto wheel weight.

It is not the weight itself that is so interesting, but the effect of the weight on the physically determined gyroscopic forces of the wheels. And these are decisive for the handling and straight-line stability of motorcycles.

How is the 520 chain holding up? I put on a lot of miles on my RSV4 (8xx if I ride every day per week). So kinda of worried about longevity with a 520 chain.
@@2leet2hax So far it’s running great! No issues. 520 is a must for me. Big improvement. I don’t think longevity would be an issue ✌️
Get an x-ring RK chain. They guarantee 20k miles out of it, even for 520.

@@seregatify1362 Triple clamp and clip ons, Samco radiator hoses, some carbon parts and fenders, suspension upgrade with stiffer springs, evap canister removal and more. Maybe a front brake master cylinder, maybe race control switches, etc. I even want to install some titanium bolts to replace the stock ones. I just sit in front of my bike and look at it, while I whisper to myself “what else could I install” lol ✌️😂

I have a cbr1000rr Honda, I'm waiting for the Bitubo suspension and most importantly, I'm waiting for the brake discs like you liked the design and the calipers from Brembo GP4-RX, I advise you to put the very top they are better than your stylema.and if you do, then do the top project in full😂😊

5K Ouch that hurt the bank, I did the same to my TuonoV4 for 2500 euro, I Got Gold Aprilia Forged Wheel, including the Brembo Sport Discs Chain and Spocket, I kept original the Hub.

How is Aprilia on warranty claims after exhaust, emissions mods and ECU tune? Not trying to throw shade, just wondering if I should wait until it goes out of warranty before I do any of this. I mean that 2 year unlimited mileage warranty is huge compared to a lot of UJMs.
@@msromike123 If your warranty claim is engine related, they will ask for an ECU log. When they see that it’s tuned they will deny the claim.
What's the difference from the t800 and the t800 plus?
@@tuill4ukid The T800+ has more memory space and faster transfer speeds than the T800. Both memory and speed are required to flash the ECU on some newer motorcycle models. The T800+ also has a carbon fiber look whereas the T800 has a plain look. Both connect with bluetooth to a smartphone but I believe the T800 and T800+ may have different socket connections through the ECU diagnostics port.

It seems they come pretty optimized, emissions compliant and sound levels off the showroom. If people want to do it no problem. Seems like stock performance is optimal and not worth the diminishing returns and compromises thrown at it with aftermarket parts and a tune for a few hp.
@@msromike123 Emissions diminish not only performance but the health of the engine. Emissions make the engine run a very lean air fuel mixture which is not ideal for the life span of the engine. It may be a few extra horsepower only, but it makes the bike alive. It’s also about power delivery too. Every single thing counts. And the stock sound is not impressive at all. Nothing like an SC Project. The downside is that tuning a bike can void the warranty. For someone that is concerned about that, it’s best to leave the bike stock. It performs great either way. ✌️
