Actually I’m happy that it’s revealed Kamp Koral is an alternate timeline. That way Camp coral is allowed to be it’s own thing withou Kamp Koral is allowed to be it’s own thing and you can enjoy the original SpongeBob show without constantly having to think about this one.
Yeah. I'm glad that Kamp Koral is actually an alternate timeline but people (especially in this comment section) keep complaining about it and making theories just to pretend that it all make sense in the context.
I guess they’re using time travel rules of Avengers Endgame in the sense that “changing the past doesn’t change the future”, so maybe that’s why they don’t recognize each other?
And that's what makes an alternate timeline. Just like the upcoming Loki series is going to be in another universe. Also, it should technically be that changing the past doesn't change the present.
DBZ did it first in the 90's though. (and I mean in native Japan not in English) As it was around 2003 or so (I think) when Ocean and Funimation each put out their dubs of the Androids saga.

I hope this means the Patrick show is also part of the Spongebob multiverse as another reality. This would explain the different family and different clothes. Also I can't believe a show as simple as spongebob now has a multiverse.
Well then, SpongeBob takes place in multiple timelines. Now that is something I thought I would never say. Also that would explain Plankton being in the show, which one would think contradicts with Friend or Foe, which established the backstory of Plankton and Mr. Krabs.

Sandy is becoming smarter and smarter to a scary degree. In a recent episode, (one is season 11 so kind of recent?) She is talking to the narrator- and knows its the narrator- and now she's started a new timeline, figuring out a way to talk to her past self?- HOW DID SHE FIGURE THIS OUT-
At the end of the day there is no solid evidence of how much Stephen knew about the show/approved of it. But don't you think it it's a bit suspicious that there were 0 spin offs but now there is this and the Patrick one announced?
AND IT WAS COMFIRMED BY PEOPLE STEVE BEEN WORKING WITH FOR YEARS HE KNEW ABOUT KK so just leave it alone he knew it was being made accept it ok i dont understand why people continue to debate about this topic its over ok
It's been pulled into question on if Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years was really created by Brian Robbins or Stephen Hillenburg. Because Brian Robbins said in an interview that he came up with the idea of Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years during a September 2018 meeting, but it was Stephen Hillenburg who approved of the idea.
Here's my theory, When Sandy and Spongebob are at Kamp Koral, Sandy and Spongebob meet, however, since they got older, their memory is wiping away, and they met in another life...
Bro I got scared when I saw Sojiro saying "Let me explain." I freaked out. Also, the fact that Sandy contacted her younger self made me think about if she knew that without her going to Kamp Koral Plankton would have stolen the secret formula, but I could be wrong.
You could say the same about the secret formula. The secret formula, as in Kamp Koral, was possibly the future krabby patty. BUT, in season 5, Eugene Krabs and Sheldon Planktons backstory were shown. With the new formula created during the story. Meaning that there were either 2 original formulas, one of which getting destroyed, or this relates to your universe theory.
I have a way to debunk the AU theory: Young Sandy could have invented something that erased almost everyone’s memories of Kamp Koral, but the effects started wearing off somewhere during the events of the original series. (I’m not going to completely go into detail on this.)
I mean, they at least acknowledged the continuity error and tried to give an explanation. Kamp Koral exceeded my expectations in that area if not anywhere else.
I’m more upset with the whole “friend or foe” continuity error. Like, they go through all the trouble of making the Sandy thing work in the timeline, and they forget about Plankton? Vulgar I call it.
When you neglect even the slightest amount of Spongebob research before making your movie so you have to introduce alternate timelines to a once simple story. Honestly though, the biggest disappointment to me here was hearing Plankton trying to steal a formula again. Like, the least they could've done with this new show is have different dynamics because it's set in the past, like Squidward not being as annoyed with Spongebob because he hasn't been broken down by him for years this early on, or Plankton not being evil because the Krusty Krab isn't even a thing yet...but now it's literally just Spongebob, set at summer camp, and they're kids.
They could easily do an episode where Kamp korral sandy erases all memories of her when the series reaches its end and the main continuity is preserved as spongebob from his perspective's 1st meeting sandy in tea at the treedome. This little bit basically proves it's absolutely possible and may be a running gag with Kamp Sandy's character having fun and making sure continuity errors don't ruin the original show or it might even end with a big movie where it all conflate into itself and we get a Sonic 06 ending
But how does this explain Patrick? In the new movie, he talks about how he first met SpongeBob at camp. If I remember correctly, haven’t they known each other since they were babies?
Here is a way to think of it: tea at the tree dome was cannon but when sandy contacted her past self it changed the timeline so they actually new each other.
Makes sense seeing how plankton literally made a machine that sent him through other timelines of himself. Like the timeline where he was the boss of the krusty krab and not mr. Krabs
I knew that the newer seasons must be an alternate timeline! If Sandy did this, it would set apart the newer seasons or that episode where she contacted her past self into a new timeline. I like to think of it that Seasons 1-7 are a timeline, Seasons 7-Now are a timeline (Where spongebob and Sandy have always known eachother), and The Sponge out of Water timeline where the apocalyspe never got fixed (since spongebob had to travel out of his time to fix it).
personally to me the whole show is just brilliant overall and even though it'll never beat the original show, it does NOT deserve all the negative hate it's been getting. the reveal in kitchen sponge was just brilliant over! but my favourite episode was the last one with mr krabs needing a babysitter for pearl. I loved seeing her as baby! can't wait for more episodes soon and especially the upcoming rugrats reboot too!
Sandy literally comes from Texas, she’s a squirrel who wears an astronaut costume so she can breathe, and now she knew spongebob since childhood and also doesn’t wear the astronaut suit. Nice.
@@quangamershyguyyz7166 it used to have SOME semblance of continuity. A lot of cartoons seem to do this so I can't complain but you would think a broad stroke like this would be taken into account. Especially on spinoff to a franchise that stephen hillenberg definitely would not have wanted.

My theory is that Kamp Koral is not canon at all. Tea At The Treedome is canon, while Kamp Koral is not. Continuity is removed, and when Kamp Koral Sandy talked to Present Day Sandy, she made a rip in the space-time continuum, and have possibly caused a time paradox.
I think I've figured it out. As we can plainly see, Sandy saw some sort of disturbance coming from the past, so sent past Sandy to fix whatever that was, but if you pay attention to Spongebob and Patrick in the proceeding animated scene, they seem dumber, almost *flanderized.* This leads me to believe that whenever Sandy noticed the disturbance, it had to be either before or just after the events of the Spongebob Movie, and therefore creating a new timeline in which Season 4 and onward take place, leaving the movie as still technically the finale, while not being the actual series finale finale.
Well he's implied that he can handle up to around 3 before his allergies act up, but at the same time the town is turned into a snail sanctuary, so living there should be hell for squidward.
There's also a possibility that Mrs. Puff being there is an error as well. As she mentioned having to start a new life with a new name 'again', meaning she might not have Grown up there in Bikini Bottom.
I find it weird how they also just decide that spongebob is the one that originally makes the krabby patty formula and not Krabs in any way. It'll be pretty interesting to see them make Krabs founder and proprietor of the Krusty Krab with that being the case
There is a quote in the episode "Tea at the Treedome" when Spongebob did mention he might've seen a land squirrel before, this might be a Days of Future Past Effect when the past is now an alternate universe 🤔
The only thing I don't like about SpongeBob's continuity is how the Krabby Patty Secret Formula keeps on getting retconned every single time it shows up.
Ok so here’s my theory, tea at the tree dome is how they originally met, but sand must have liked songebob so much she contacted her past self so she could spend her childhood with him at kamp koral.
Ye this movie changed everything When spongebob was inside his mother, krabs already had restaurant and squidward was an adult, but in kamp coral spongebob and squidward were same age and krabs didn't had an restaurant till spongebob encouraged him to do, and also Patrick and spongebob were best friends since their birth, SINCE DAYCARE, SINCE KINDERGARTEN, but in movie they met each other as kids not since their birth
maybe at the end of camp, she erased spongebob's memory of seeing sandy at camp and that's why he never remembered her in the past from the future, sandy does invent fancy gadgets that are made for emergencies like that
One can just assume that as soon as Sandy A changed events she and SpongeBob A obtained their new retconned memories of Kamp Koral. Basically changing the past to change the future and not making a new past, present, and future.
Hello, Vailskibum94! Your theory is pretty solid, considering that there's no cohesion whatsoever in both the original show and Cramp Coral. I really enjoyed this video, while also despising the disgusting mess that is Cramp Coral, which betrays Mr. Hillenberg's simple request of having no spin-offs of his show. (In fact, what wish didn't Nickelodeon break of Mr. Hillenberg's? He just wanted to stop the show, but "OH MY GOSH, THE FANS WILL BE SAD! STOP BEING HUMANLY EXHAUSTED AND KEEP GETTING THAT MONEY!") However, there's one thing that sticks out to me in this theory of yours: When Sandy was first introduced in Tea in the Tree Dome, she was a Texan squirrel who loved everything about her native state. She had her hobbies...rodeos, karate, weight-lifting, and doing crazy stunts at times. This was her original ego! And then, they decided to transform her from the tough Texan to the selfish scientist. She's now devoured by the thought of science, and barely resembles her former-self, aside from still (somewhat) liking karate. My point? Her character traits as a kid should be more like her original character rather than her scientific ego. She was a Texan rodeo girl first before becoming a mad scientist. I'm just saying. I'm not sure if this is a theory or a rant, but I'll go with either. Have a great day, Vailskibum94, and take care! Regards, Joseph trainonthetrack. 4/22/2021
I like your analysis for being short, fair, and concise. Even before the multiple universe/timeline was confirmed as canon, a lot of people on TH-cam were hating on this concept. Contradicting canon has been a part of the show since season one. Funny comes before logic in SB
To include this in the episode must mean that the creators behind Camp Coral at least care a teeny bit about SpongeBob Let's hope that if they make a season two things will get better
I always thought one of these things was going on 1. Sponge on the Run and Kamp Koral take place in their own separate timeline Or 2. Spongebob and Sandy met at Kamp Koral, but they eventually forgot about one another and later on Sandy remembered the Kamp Koral stuff. But no they have to make a Spongebob Television Universe and make things confusing
Uhhh I will try to simplify it so more people understand: 1. Adult Sandy meets adult SpongeBob in Tea At The Treedom 2. Adult Sandy notices that Plankton could've stole the formula in the past 3. Adult Sandy communicates with her past self through a device she built. 4. Adult Sandy tells young sandy to go to Kamp Koral 5. Young Sandy meets young SpongeBob in Kamp Koral causing Kamp Koral's timeline to be different from SpongeBobSquarePants timeline.
Or the timeline just changes and tea at the treedome didn't happen. It wouldn't make any sense for her to say "crisis averted, timeline restored" otherwise. It wouldn't t make sense to contact her past self at all if it had no effect on her reality. She also could have erased their memories.

It's also a possibility that Sandy was willing to sacrifice the integrity of her own story if that's what it took to preserve the integrity of the greater past.

Exactly
And that's what makes an alternate timeline.
Just like the upcoming Loki series is going to be in another universe.
Also, it should technically be that changing the past doesn't change the present.
DBZ did it first in the 90's though. (and I mean in native Japan not in English) As it was around 2003 or so (I think) when Ocean and Funimation each put out their dubs of the Androids saga.

Well then, SpongeBob takes place in multiple timelines. Now that is something I thought I would never say. Also that would explain Plankton being in the show, which one would think contradicts with Friend or Foe, which established the backstory of Plankton and Mr. Krabs.

Sojiro?
@@RYMAN1321 a character from a great game persona 5
So thousand just went from an alternate universe to something akin to the Zelda timeline.
It’s bold, I’ll give it that
You did really well I didn’t even notice that and I’m going to watch the episodes back-and-forth
I think adult Sandy makes young sandy and young sponge bob forget each other.

lol same ikr?
Yes
Attack on Titan fans: ‘Sup.
So basically sandy created an alternate timeline where she met spongebob.
Cool
They could easily do an episode where Kamp korral sandy erases all memories of her when the series reaches its end and the main continuity is preserved as spongebob from his perspective's 1st meeting sandy in tea at the treedome. This little bit basically proves it's absolutely possible and may be a running gag with Kamp Sandy's character having fun and making sure continuity errors don't ruin the original show or it might even end with a big movie where it all conflate into itself and we get a Sonic 06 ending
Squidward messed up the timeline in sb-129. When ssuid goes back in time and teaches sponge and pat jellyfishing, he caused a branching timeline.
But how does this explain Patrick? In the new movie, he talks about how he first met SpongeBob at camp. If I remember correctly, haven’t they known each other since they were babies?
Probably in Universe B as mentioned in this video.

This goes absolutely PERFECTLY with the Spongebob TV Theory, wherein ....[spoilers ahead]
Sandy is the liaison for the scuba-diving reality TV crew filming Spongebob.
Finally some explanation for this
Very simple ValksBum, after the Old Sandy told the younger Sandy to meet Spongebob and Protect the Krabby Patty formula, those events would bud off from the main timeline, not affecting the original timeline, yet...
However, this opens a whole load of doors to endless possibilities. For example, the patrick star show could be either a naturally budding or artifically budding timeline, where Patrick does not meet Spongebob, forcing him to live with his family, hiss closest friends. Another example of interest could be that Plankton catches word of what Sandy is doing(in the original timeline), and decides to help the alternate timeline(s) Plankton, maybe to at least live with the satisfaction that at least a form of him has got it. This could cause a side plot where Plankton and Sandy plus her friends try to guide the new timeline to try and prevent the other from influencing them. This could also cause some episodes in the original timeline, maybe(Original timeline) Krabs and Spongebob communicate back in time to find out the missing ingredient in the Krabby Patty formula, eventually finding it, but the information falls into the wrong hands. (Original timeline)Plankton, now with the knowledge of at least the important parts of the Krabby Patty formula can now actually compete with Krabs, however, due to their foods too similar, and competition so fierce, this could split the potential profit of the Krabby Patty, forcing themselves, just to survive, to put their rivalry down, so that both of them can survive, maybe merging their restaurants.
But hey, that's just a theory, A Fil-
In my mind I was just thinking that in the show spongebob just forgot how he met his friends.
He'd need to be brain dead to forget a squirrel in a space suit under the sea who he spend so much time with.
I honestly think that they won’t and they expect people to not question it.

As we can plainly see, Sandy saw some sort of disturbance coming from the past, so sent past Sandy to fix whatever that was,
but if you pay attention to Spongebob and Patrick in the proceeding animated scene, they seem dumber, almost *flanderized.*
This leads me to believe that whenever Sandy noticed the disturbance, it had to be either before or just after the events of the Spongebob Movie, and therefore creating a new timeline in which Season 4 and onward take place,
leaving the movie as still technically the finale, while not being the actual series finale finale.
Yeah and there was an episode where Squidward was allergic to snails but in sponge on the run Squidward has a snail
The ending hasn’t changed a bit and honestly I admire that
There is a quote in the episode "Tea at the Treedome" when Spongebob did mention he might've seen a land squirrel before, this might be a Days of Future Past Effect when the past is now an alternate universe 🤔
Damn SpongeBob has some complicated lore timelines and multiverse's
The only thing I don't like about SpongeBob's continuity is how the Krabby Patty Secret Formula keeps on getting retconned every single time it shows up.
Ok so here’s my theory, tea at the tree dome is how they originally met, but sand must have liked songebob so much she contacted her past self so she could spend her childhood with him at kamp koral.
Spongebob just forget. He wasn't ready to remember her.
Cheeks was never idiot greeting between universe's
This has been my question for a long time since the 3rd movie thank you for explaining
Ye this movie changed everything
When spongebob was inside his mother, krabs already had restaurant and squidward was an adult, but in kamp coral spongebob and squidward were same age and krabs didn't had an restaurant till spongebob encouraged him to do, and also Patrick and spongebob were best friends since their birth, SINCE DAYCARE, SINCE KINDERGARTEN, but in movie they met each other as kids not since their birth
maybe at the end of camp, she erased spongebob's memory of seeing sandy at camp and that's why he never remembered her in the past from the future, sandy does invent fancy gadgets that are made for emergencies like that
One can just assume that as soon as Sandy A changed events she and SpongeBob A obtained their new retconned memories of Kamp Koral.
Basically changing the past to change the future and not making a new past, present, and future.
Yeah makes sense, either way this time travel thing makes things confusing

@@Vailskibum don't worry I already did ;) AND AND I subscribed 😏
Hello, Vailskibum94!
Your theory is pretty solid, considering that there's no cohesion whatsoever in both the original show and Cramp Coral. I really enjoyed this video, while also despising the disgusting mess that is Cramp Coral, which betrays Mr. Hillenberg's simple request of having no spin-offs of his show. (In fact, what wish didn't Nickelodeon break of Mr. Hillenberg's? He just wanted to stop the show, but "OH MY GOSH, THE FANS WILL BE SAD! STOP BEING HUMANLY EXHAUSTED AND KEEP GETTING THAT MONEY!")
However, there's one thing that sticks out to me in this theory of yours: When Sandy was first introduced in Tea in the Tree Dome, she was a Texan squirrel who loved everything about her native state.
So basically Spongebob follows Endgame logic. Time travel doesn’t change the present day, just events in the past.
Sandy ,squidward and mr, krabs are my favorite in that order .
1:38 *unsurprised scout noises*
Lol when’s Spongebob Endgame?
Vail: Plankton wants to get the formula for a sandwich.
Me: I guess something's never change.
I like your analysis for being short, fair, and concise. Even before the multiple universe/timeline was confirmed as canon, a lot of people on TH-cam were hating on this concept. Contradicting canon has been a part of the show since season one. Funny comes before logic in SB
To include this in the episode must mean that the creators behind Camp Coral at least care a teeny bit about SpongeBob
Let's hope that if they make a season two things will get better
I always thought one of these things was going on
1. Sponge on the Run and Kamp Koral take place in their own separate timeline
Or
2. Spongebob and Sandy met at Kamp Koral, but they eventually forgot about one another and later on Sandy remembered the Kamp Koral stuff.
But no they have to make a Spongebob Television Universe and make things confusing
I find it pretty easy to understand
The TVA is being real quiet right now…
lol
In tea at the tree dome, that was probably before sandy talked to her pass self, explaining why Spongebob didn't know her...
Uhhh I will try to simplify it so more people understand:
1. Adult Sandy meets adult SpongeBob in Tea At The Treedom
2. Adult Sandy notices that Plankton could've stole the formula in the past
3. Adult Sandy communicates with her past self through a device she built.
4. Adult Sandy tells young sandy to go to Kamp Koral
5. Young Sandy meets young SpongeBob in Kamp Koral causing Kamp Koral's timeline to be different from SpongeBobSquarePants timeline.
Oh and this means Sponge In The Run is from Kamp Koral's timeline.
Also Patrick and Squidward used to live by themselves, until spongebob showed up
The biggest question is...
HOW THE HECK WAS SHE EATING A KRABBY PATTY WITH HER HELMET ON???
Or the timeline just changes and tea at the treedome didn't happen. It wouldn't make any sense for her to say "crisis averted, timeline restored" otherwise. It wouldn't t make sense to contact her past self at all if it had no effect on her reality. She also could have erased their memories.
Spongebob meeting Sandy in "Tea at the Treedome" will always be the real origin story
It's either That when they all grew up, They All Lost Memory of each other so now they dont know eachother till they have to re meet again
