Hate to say it, but once Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke Clancy Brown, and Rodger Bumpass either all retire or pass away, Spongebob will NEVER be the same or do as well. They've voiced the characters for so long, we can't imagine anyone else in the roles
Exactly. We’ve already lost the actors for Barnacle Boy as well as both young AND old Mermaid Man and the voice actors are getting older, so they won’t be able to do this forever. Luckily, actors like Tom Kenny still seems to be managing fine while in his 50s and is doing other shows like Kid Cosmic, but others like Bill Fagerbakke won’t be around for much longer.

I knew that SpongeBob SquarePants will continue for eternity because of how relevant it is. People keep saying that it either needs to end or they want it to end, but I highly doubt that's happening anytime soon. I think it's a good thing, especially how well the show's been doing for many fans. Sure, it can be obnoxious how shows don't come to an end like you would expect, but even if people are not huge fans or haters of anything, and even if we don't pay attention to anything very much, it's always good to deal with what's occurring. Plus, if I have children, I can let them watch SpongeBob, and have them get entertained by a show that impacted a lot of people in nostalgic ways, similar to what I experienced with SpongeBob when I was growing up. So, I couldn't agree more that SpongeBob won't meet its end anytime soon since it's still relevant to this day, even with the memes.

I honestly wouldn’t mind a Squidward spin-off. We get to see more of his sass, and it’ll attract an older audience since the older audience can really relate to Squidward.
Me either I really want to see a Squidward tv series happen for Paramount+ and maybe it could be about him becoming a music teacher and mentors his class at becoming better musicians (or something similar to School of Rock)
Spongebob has reached cartoon god status. He is now in the Micky Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and Tom and Jerry ranks. Stephen Hillenburg really underestimated his cartoon powers.
imagine being stephen hillenburg, not only creating a series that outlives you for a long while, but creating a character that becomes one of the most recognizable cartoon characters for a while, imagine your character pretty much becoming the mascot of a whole company that has several TV channels, imagine your character and fictional universe having several games, 3 movies so far, 2 spin off serieses with much more on the way, and not even being able to be alive to enjoy this fame anymore.. dang R.I.P Stephen Hillenburg, You were a legend, You created a legendary series, and i will respect you forever

Maybe, but if Nick still wants Spongebob to last longer, they might stop at nothing to find a new voice actor if possible, but i don't think anyone can play spongebob better then Tom Kenny, no one at all.
At least even if the original voice actors will be joining steven hillenburg in heaven soon & they will find some new voice actors to take there place spongebob will be around for a loooooong time!
I'm pretty sure they wont die soon they will still be around for a little longer. Tom Kenney is 58 years old he will last longer than the older guys you plays the other characters from the show itself
Honestly, that's the nice thing about Spongebob. It doesn't really have a set in stone backstory. Yeah there's little glimpses for the bit/episode, yet nothing is concrete about a lot of character's origins (idk if modern spongebob ruined that or not, haven't watched since like 2012). But for old spongebob, that's what made it great. It was simplistic.
so what's going on is camp coral is gonna be on Paramount plus for a bit when the first season ends, it switching to public air and they're gonna do stuff back and forth like that is the way I'm understanding it, if so, that's actually really cool and more companies should do it
That means Spongebob is gonna be a multi-tasking revenue franchise in the same ranks as Scooby Doo, And Tom And Jerry with their alternations with a mix of being the networks biggest money product like the Simpsons and South Park, and ON TOP of that basically a marvel universe.
I'm guessing that Spongbob will be the longest running children's animated show and the second longest animated one in at least several years after Arthur ends after 25 years on the air.
Peter Rabbit 2012 deserves a huge spin-off universe a *LOT MORE* than SpongeBob does IMHO. It would even be a tribute to the original Beatrix Potter universe and how that was constructed if they did this!
Brian Robbins: Give it up for YEAR 22 OF NONSTOP SPONGEBOB! Rodger Bumpass: Mr. Robbins! Can I go home now? Brian: NOBODY GOES HOME Rodger: You cheapskate!!! Look at these bags under my eyes! Even my BAGS have bags! (insert screaming bags clip here)
Wouldn’t be surprised if there ends up being a Spongebob-Verse movie somewhere in the future when Spongebob would eventually have all these strange adaptations and different versions of the Sponge.
At least Spongebob still has more dignity than modern Simpsons and is definately more respectful to its audience than Teen Titans Go and Modern Family Guy.
I'd prefer it that way, so that I can never have to be bored in quarantine. I just play it for background, but sometimes it still gives a smile on my face from time to time.
The voice actors of Spongebob and Patrick retired, so Spongebob is pretty much over, unless if Nickelodeon finds replacement actors that's just as good. But that'd be a terrible idea, because you can't replace amazing actors that've left a massive impact in our hearts.
+Logan Entertainment. That’s not Tom Kenny won’t be remain voice the seasponge forever Logan. Besides what you’re saying is a subjective opinion and I respect that. Also the Simpsons another beloved animated show created by Matt Groening for Disney’s 20th century studios since 1989 (Which this some came out way before squarepants did) already made more seasons and episodes than this one does!
Spongebob doesn’t have canon and the referenced the movie in episodes after the movie so even if there was canon it’s not possible for the movie to be the canonical ending.
They could assemble dialogue out of lines they've already recorded while alive, like they did for Mr Potato Head in Toy Story 4 (Don Rickles died before he could record any dialogue for that movie) Or they could give Spongebob kids, and follow them
we now have 2 patrick star shows lol the "patrick star sitcom" and the patrick star show which is the actual spinoff. the older one is basically clipshows (sort of like gumball chronicles) and adding overthetop "audience laughter" thing

Spongebob's creator: *YOU BETRAYED ME NICK! (AS HE DESTROYS HIS SPONGEBOB MERCH WHEREVER HE IS NOW) OH NIIIIIICK! OH YOU MAKE ME ANGRY NIIIICK! (CRIES LIKE CRAZY) IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING!*
If the show will continue on, I wish they can reverse back to the classic era.

They won't, I don't think they will. They might be able to make better episodes but they already shifted towards a different style.
@@Dezlite I hate this ''new'' style, it freaking sucks, I just don't understand why some people think it's really cool, it just butchered a crap load of elements
same here man, the classic era is the best part of the show, including the first movie.

Fortunately none of the cast is _super_ old, they're all in their 50s and 60s so I wouldn't worry for a while
Honestly, that's the nice thing about Spongebob. It doesn't really have a set in stone backstory.
