Cartoons use the x-ray effect because of nukes. Back when they tested nukes in the 40's and 50's a lot of the soldiers said they covered their eyes with their hands and the light was so bright they could see their bones under their skin. Kind of like how you can see light on the other side of your hand when you put your hand over it in the dark.

Hello. Good afternoon. My name is Brian López. Why do you like the synchronized swimming scene from the Dexter's Laboratory episode, "Better Off Wet"? Please let me know in the comments down below.
I'm 54 and I love cartoon network, but Gumball is possibly the best cartoon ever, so creative and also pretty accurate with regards to how real life works.
Steve Universe was always awesome in its tackling mental health, controlling relationships, an neurodivergent behavior. Pearl being OCD/Codependent was always interesting to me. Her attachment to Rose Quartz (and a similar diamond e.e) was always interesting and reflected on her relationship with Steven.
This is why I love Steven Universe so much! It is such a fantastic show! Other than the comedy and the drama and the happy and emotional scenes, the show also talks about serious topics like this and other things like abandonment, betrayal, war and the impact of war, burdens that are hard to escape from, and lots of trauma. The fact that this show can be both entertaining and serious at the same time is just amazing. This is my favorite show and it always will be.
The level of hate it gets from idiots to this day is still absurd. I guess the reasoning is valid but people need to get over that shit and enjoy it in a chill manner without taking it too seriously.
It’s shoving nonsensical LGBTQ stuff into your face and panders to insecure people and that deviates from a potentially entertaining and otherwise interesting storyline
@@claytonlatone8959 You're entitled to your opinion, but you can just say "i didn't like it because it was very gay", though I think you should work on your homophobia, it's a wonderful gay story, even for non-gay watchers, nothing nonsensical about it (or pandering).

One question, if you go back to that timestamp on the video, what do you see? I'm asking because on my phone there is no clip after docter Mike explains the radiation thing, only the Ryan Trahan bit. _But_ on my tv after the radiation explanation, the audio seems to be from said clip you're mentioning, but the actual video stays the same so it gets off-sinc. _But_ (again), some comments are referencing images from this mysterious lost clip which must mean that at some point there was "video" for it that was somehow removed! Idk man I'm just confused and want to know if I'm going crazy.
I would love to see Dr.Mike do The CW superhero shows! They get injured a lot in those shows, especially in the Flash where he practically breaks a bone every episode.
Ed, Edd n' Eddy were a huge favorite of mine as a kid. Still love it to this day! I also loved Dexter's Lab, Courage the Cowardly Dog and the original Powerpuff Girls.
Hello. Good afternoon. My name is Brian López. Which episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is your favorite? Please let me know in the comments down below.
That's what I was taught in school, and it's not entirely wrong. It's an oversimplification. All areas of the tongue are sensitive to all five types of flavors. But different areas of the tongue have different levels of sensitivity to each flavor. This whole thing started with a 1901 paper by a German scientist named David Hänig. He noted the different levels of sensitivity and made a drawing to indicate this. But then in the 1940's, Edwin Boring redrew it and simplified it for his book and in doing so misrepresented the original data. His chart showed the flavor that each part of the tongue is most sensitive to. But then science teachers using it incorrectly tell students that it's the only flavor that can be detected there. And it's not. I found an article on it, and a modern neuroscientist, Brian Lewandowski, says that while there are small differences in sensitivity in different areas of the tongue, they aren't all that significant.
2:33 you may know about medicine, but not about visual communication, if you pay atention even iconography in medicine and other sciences uses these types of visual analogies, not because they are real but because they are good to understand visually

My go-to food court food is Kao Mun Gai, which translates to "Chicken Fat Rice". It's a super common food here in Thailand and you can find it at just about any food court. It's rice that was steamed in chicken fat so that all the flavour of the meat becomes concentrated in the rice, accompanied by either boiled or fried chicken cutlet (I usually go with fried). It's always served with a side of light soup too, which in my experience helps keep your throat from becoming too oily while eating the main dish.

This show had an impact on so many people's lives, like literally a whole generation of people who basically had their lives changed by this one show, and many people got inspired from it even in their artstyle. The show was good enough to have gotten five seasons, a movie and an epilogue series. And yes it did talk about important topics and issues, it had the guts to have queer characters and be open about it. It was a very well made show and they did the most with the time they had to develop it, especially because the story and universe were already thought about by the creator years before the show started. The show represents and recognizes many different kinds of people who needed to feel seen and feel like they're not alone in the world, and if that's pandering to you... well... then they sure did it, and did it amazingly.
@@dillongageok, you don't like steven universe and you can have that opinion, but what's with the "objectively inferior," thing?

no, he was already messed up for years if you actually watch the show.

I don’t mean to sound rude but Steven could have been repressing it or he possibly didn’t know he was mentally fucky

8:40 Yeah Steven universe is kinda awesome. It's kind of out of left field seeing all these wildly cartoonish scenes, and then this realistic one. You clearly weren't prepared for it lol, you were expecting to see funni cartoonish medical stuff and then you get hit with childhood trauma. I would have loved to see you react to the entire scene, but this works too
The one about the girl constantly covering for her sister at work to the point where it was affecting her own well being was quite stunning. Her sister had no idea the entire time.
@@alecrechtiene558 yeah! That's a really good one too. There's also scenes of abandonment, racism, depression, neurodivergency, I think there were some messages touching on homophobia in there, it taught you how to be mentally healthy, and much more. He needs to react to it now!
In which episode I can find that scene?👀

@@marklopez7775This has nothing to do with what I commented last year.

Yeah, it's bad for humans to be codependent, but Pearl was literally built from the ground up to be codependent to Rose, so maybe it's different.

3:30 this episode SCARRED me as a child.
Steven Universe was such an amazingly smart show in many ways.
Fun to see its medical stuff was accurate too!
The level of hate it gets from idiots to this day is still absurd. I guess the reasoning is valid but people need to get over that shit and enjoy it in a chill manner without taking it too seriously.
@@p-__ Are they explosive?
It’s shoving nonsensical LGBTQ stuff into your face and panders to insecure people and that deviates from a potentially entertaining and otherwise interesting storyline
@@claytonlatone8959 You're entitled to your opinion, but you can just say "i didn't like it because it was very gay", though I think you should work on your homophobia, it's a wonderful gay story, even for non-gay watchers, nothing nonsensical about it (or pandering).
@@OneWingedRose Exactly this. People are freaking out over nothing honestly.
8:20 OH. I've heard that audio everywhere and had no clue it was from Sevens Wniverse.

Hope to see this in the next corrections video, even though it's not dangerous misinformation in any way. Props to Doctor Mike for even doing correction videos.
@@Cocoabunny826 It appears they clipped that part out!
I would love to see Dr.Mike do The CW superhero shows! They get injured a lot in those shows, especially in the Flash where he practically breaks a bone every episode.

Hello. Good afternoon. My name is Brian López. Which episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is your favorite? Please let me know in the comments down below.
The tongue having different areas for each flavour is an urban legend.
Was looking for someone to say it!!
I reacted to that too!
Very rare to see Mike do a miss like that!
