How often should you maintenance with crocheting method on locks that at a year are mattured and im sure you have seen products like Dread butta which is different from Dread wax, saltwater spray? Definitely going to schedule an appointment and fly in sometime after the holidays!

Please remember to contrast the colors in your videos. For example, if your client's hair is black, contrast the background with red so the camera can pick up. Contrast the color of your apron also. If your shirt or apron is black, we can't see your client's hair as you demonstrate.

@Dboyboyyboyyy it's a 0.60mm crochet hook u can find it at walmart or any craft store I haven't had much success finding them online like amazon they don't have that specific size he uses

Love your videos, I just bought two of those hooks and I'm ready to begin. I was wanting to find out how to clean up my own locks because like your client I went though the stage of months with only a little locking so I started interlocking then, which helped tremendously. So I just got on to look up how to best do that and whalaa you got a video on it, love you my bro. Thanks so much.!!

I have soft fine hair that takes a long time to loc, at any one time I have at least 3 inches of new growth that wont stay palm rolled. I really need to learn this technique and I have watched your videos many times of the last several months but I still cant do it like you. Peace! Brother if you're ever in the states I'd be interested in getting my locs for a 3rd time. Had to cut them due to being in the service.
I have a few questions. Soon I'll be maintaining my own locs and I want to chrochet and then twist, what size is your chrochet needle? And what product would you use to twist a curly, thick, soft textured type of hair? Or would interlocking be a better route?
Your videos are truly helpful, I'm thinking about starting dreads and your videos are helping me alot. I'm just not sure about what to use as gel or oil since I live in brazil and can't find products made for dreads here, as your gel. Any tips?

Hi Kris once you use this crochet method, do you have to keep doing it to maintain your locs. I would like to semi free form after they loc. Will I still be able to do that?
germaineamia yes you can. However semi free form defys the word free from. Free form means no touching. U can half touch or touch a little. Its either or. U either free form or not. Crotchet can b used at any time in any stage.

How did you learn to crochet the hair? I know that practice makes it faster but, I would like to know how to do it. I use interlocking on my daughter's dreads, but when she has loose hairs I would like to use this to put them back in. Did you watch someone else to learn how to crochet?
Cybil Richmond practice. practice, then practice some more. n yes, even now I watch a lot of people doing their craft. I love watching people do wat they r good at. I study people on youtube. Till date, on every thing, styling, interlocking, crotcheting, its easy to think you r the best or you know until you find someone with a better, safer , time efficient or neater work. :)

Kris, thanks for sharing. What's a good daily maintenance routine to keep the dreads from drying out, and keeping the new growth in check with existing dreads. Right now my dreads are dry and stiff. I would like to keep them relaxed, shiny and bouncy. What do you suggest?

hi, please can you advise me I'm mixed race Jamaican and White, soft hair and want to start locs do you think two strand twist is a good idea? or maybe start with comb twist I want locs like straight away but not extensions. my loc specialist said two strand twists will work they look, so o went ahead and done two strand twist but they look thin is this normal... sorry I am a beginner and just need some advice. thank you x
