- When you start your locs with instant locs, you don't have to maintain with crotcheting, you can interlock or palm roll. You don't have to interlock.
But if you choose to crotchet which I recommend 1 or 2 times every year, then this is how you do it.

What theeeeee f ! That looked like magic! I never know how to really fix all that new growth on mine or my man’s hair, I kinda just wing it and twist but it always end up coming undone a couple days later .. I gotta learn this technique !

I'm very interested in starting your self-maintenance course soon. I'm not sure what all the paid part entails but I would love to learn to properly care for my locs. They are about 3 years old and I have taken care of them myself but they are not nearly as nice as yours and I think it boils down to technique. I'm not looking to make money, just keep my own locs well cared for through my whole life. They are my pride.
