While we are on the subject... Is getting coached (during the middle of game 3, during a regional) "cheating"? IE. - "do this play instead" Also, is it "cheating" when the judge says "it's an accepted game state" when I didn't agree to shit, the opponent attempted to illiaglly activate EVERY card effect and the opponent has ridiculously unfair advantage from the coaching (potential cheating)?
Depends on the situation. I'm autistic and know how to play but I have a friend explain board states for tournaments. That is legal. Buddies scoping is not
I know this is well over a year ago, but it likely ties into a similar thing the magic judges do: You are only supposed to answer what is asked. If Yugioh has a similar methodology to judging (in the overarching sense) then Coder answering a question about something not asked could be considered strategic advice and a big no no. If the person asked "Can I use Super Poly on this monster?" then Coder likely has to answer the exacting question of "Can I use Super Poly on this monster?" and not anything else.

He coulda stormed out of the store complaining about how interaction-less and power crept the game has gotten, but he actively wanted to see and understand the combo.
