    Thank you for posting this. This video and some explanations in the comments really cleared it up for me about when the unit will turn on, what the temps mean, and what the unit will do if already at the temp. Thanks again.

    Hi, just to confirm: if you set Cool 24 and Heat at 16; it means that if temperature drops below 16, the system will turn on and heat until it reaches 16-17 and then it turns off? and similarly, if the house gets to say 26, the aircon will turn on until temperature drops to say 24-23?.

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  ปีที่แล้ว

      The simple answer to that is yes, if the system is in Auto mode, you are tellking the system at what temperature you want to bring heating on, and waht temperature you want to bring cooling on. If the system is set in Heat or Cool mode, then the system will used the specified Heat or Cool set points. Hopefully that makes sense, but please let us know if not, or you can email us at sales@dawsonhc.com.au

    When you enter the temperature in the schedule, is that the temperature that will apply when it turns on? Or is the temperature entered the temp at which the schedule will activate? Thanks

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The schedule will activate the system at the specified time set in any given program. If the temperature is already at the desired level, the system will not need to operate, or depending on the setup your fan might be running in a thermo off mode. Thermo off means the fan is recirculating room temperature air, but the compressor is not running, therefore not actively cooling or heating.
      I hope I am understanding your question correctly.
      Please contact us with any further questions either by replying below, or send us an email at sales@dawsonhc.com.au. Thanks. Have a great day.

    How do I just select heating for the schedule eg number 1 and then go in to schedule number 2 for cooling schedule

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steph.
      Once all the Heating and Cooling preferences have been setup in the schedule settings for the 2 schedule's you want to use, all you need to do is change the "Schedule nr set" to either 1 or 2, at the start of Summer or the start of Winter.
      The system wont be able to determine which schedule to use unless you manually go into the settings and tell it which schedule you want to use from that time onwards.
      When you go to the Main Menu and click on "Schedule", you will need to click on "Schedule nr set", and select which schedule you want to set up first. If you want "Schedule nr 1" to be the HEATING schedule, then after selecting No.1, then you can go into the "Settings" option, and setup the preferred options for Heating. To then setup a different set of options for COOLING, you just have to first go into the "Schedule nr set" menu, and select "Schedule nr 2" before going back into the settings menu and setting up the preferred options for Cooling.
      I hope this clearly explains it and that we have understood your question correctly. If not please let us know or send an email to sales@dawsonhc.com.au
      Thanks and have a great day.

    Hi there. A great video thanks. I have set up two schedules NR 1 and NR2. NR1 is purely heating and energy management. NR2 is the one I want to use now to cool anything 23 and above and heat anything below 16. A few questions:
    - At what point can I tell which one (of NR1 and NR2) I am in?
    - Given that NR2 both heats and cools, if I didn’t start the programming from the Auto, page is there a way to correct that or do I have to restart from Auto?
    - is there a symbol on the HMI that tells the user that the program is active even though it might be outside an “ON” period?
    Thanks

    Hello, when I select "OFF" a temperature always appears. In order for nothing to appear, I have to select the ACT as blank. Also, how do I select the second and third schedule?

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The second and third schedule can be selected from the Schedule wettings in the main menu.
      Click the menu button in the middle, the scroll to "Schedule", and then select "Schedule nr Set".
      This should allow you to select between the 3 schedules you have programmed.
      Once the preferred Schedule is selected, you will need to scroll to the "Settings" button and enter your preferred operation settings for the selected Schedule.
      We hope this helps, and best of luck.

  • @kadinbromwich8537
    @kadinbromwich8537 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you have to switch from heat and cool manually like if you want warm in morning and cool in arvo or is there a way when you set it to turn on at certain time heat will change from what was on

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kadin. For the system to be able to heat and cool on the same day automatically, you need to set the system in auto mode. If you just leave the system in heating or cooling mode, it is locked into that function only.

  • @vLawcity

    Hi, why do i see a temperatures for "cool" and "heat" when i set the action to OFF?

  • @JordanTweets
    @JordanTweets 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi, I was just curious, does the power button need to be on in order for the schedule to work or can you leave the power button off?

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Jordan. The power button does not need to be ON for the schedule to operate correctly. If the small clock symbol is showing in the upper right of the screen, this indicates that the schedule has been enabled, therefore the system will turn on and off or adjust its setting according to how it has been programmed.
      If you turn the system off during operation, it will revert back to its normal scheduled program, at the next programmed time. For example at 7pm in the afternoon, you decide you don't want it on any longer and you switch it off with the power button, if you had a program set for 10pm to turn the system off, or to change the temperature set point, then from 10pm onwards it will be operating as per the normal schedule operation.
      We hope this helps.
      Good luck and have a great day.

    Hi I disabled the schedule but the clock image at the top right cornor won’t go away, how do I fix this?

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Flop.
      I can only assume that if you are going into the Schedule "Enable/Disable" menu, and selecting "Disable" followed by Saving the setting. If so, and the time clock is still appearing on the top righthand of the home screen, then you may likely have accidentally enable the "Off Timer". The Off Timer is the only other function on the controller that causes the time clock to appear on the home screen.
      To disable the "Off Timer" function, please navigate to the "Energy Saving Options" and then go to "Energy Saving List". if the "Off Timer" is in the ON position, then navigate down the menu using the Right arrow, and then when "Off Timer" is highlighted, click the down arrow to change it to OFF. Then save the setting when prompted. This should then disable this function.
      If the problem persists after trying this method, please let us know, or send us an email at sales@dawsonhc.com.au
      Thanks and have a great day.

    HELP! I am trying to set a schedule on our BRC controllers, but when selecting the off times, I am trying to enter a setback temperature of 25C to cool. The controller wont allow me to enter a setback temperature for cooling lower than 33C which is FAR too high for our needs! (our premesis shop floor temp is not supposed to exceed 25C at any time!) How do I change this? The manual clearly shows lower setback temperatures than this being set during 'off' periods in the illustrations! It seems a waste of money to keep the units on 24/7 but I want them to achieve around 20C during business hours, and then to switch off overnight, but kick into cooling if the temperature exceeds 25C or drops below 10C ideally.

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just a few things to double check (some are obvious but just wanting to clarify):
      * you need to make sure you have set the Scheduled days and times into the correct Schedule Nr.
      If Schedule Nr 1 is you selected Schedule, make sure you have all the times and days set in this Schedule.
      * The fact you have the clock showing, indicates that you have the Schedule Enables through the Schedule menu.
      * Make sure the Clock is set correctly.
      * Make sure that you have used the ON Action in the Settings menu for any scheduled line item you are wanting to turn on or any time frame that you want to adjust a temperature.
      If these items are all correct, then the system should be starting as set, but if not you may have an issue with the system and need a service technician to attend to inspect. Please feel free to respond with any further questions or to let us know how you went getting it rectified.

    I noticed that you can only have 5 actions per schedule.
    Let’s say for example I want to set the hearing on at night for 20 min every 2 hours. How would you go about that?
    Can you combine Schedule Nr 1-2-3?

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there. You would have to use a third party time clock to enable the ability to set more than five actions per day. We don't believe you will be able to achieve this with the standard controller. Regarding combing the schedules, unfortunately you can only run one schedule at any given time.

  • @tam2948

    Mine doesn’t have the action option. So I don’t know how to delete a day in schedule. I have tried various options but am stuck. I want to clear settings for the week so it shows -:-
    I can only get it to 00:00 but that would mean midnight and it will keep running. Please help

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Tam,
      Sorry for the delayed response.
      You should be able to push and hold the top left button (Mode Selection Button) when you are on each day, to clear the menu for that day. You may have to push it and hold for a couple of seconds, and then repeat that a second time.
      If this doesn't work, the you can simply change the setting in the Act (action) column to be (- -) which is disables the line item instead of (ON) or (OFF).
      This means that no action will be taken on any of the scheduled line items no matter what os ion the time, Heat or Cool columns.
      Please let us know how you go. Thanks

      HI Marwan,
      Apologies that we missed your reply.
      We hope you have this sorted by now?
      If not the system may be set to only allow minimal control from the main menu. This is a permission level function which is built into the system that is often used in hotels or commercial applications, and is designed to stop people from constantly touching or amending the temperature set-points and operation.
      I can send you the information to check this function if the issue is still occurring?

    • @dawsonhc
      @dawsonhc  ปีที่แล้ว

      If the system is locked a "Key" symbol will appear on the screen. To unlock the screen you need to push and hold the centre "Menu/Enter" button for at least 4 seconds. It is locked and unlocked using this same method.
      Hopefully that helps, but feel free to reply with any further questions.
