Great video plenty of information for service technicians. My question is about forced fan. How does the system determine which is unit 0,1,2, etc...?

Great videos! Shared with some other techs at our shop. We are having trouble getting an itouch panel with nav tstats set so tenants can make limited adjustments to temperatures. Very confusing. Where can i get a clear description of how to do this. The manual is 309 pages and not specific. Thx.

Hi, we have a problem, I hope you could help us. Our mantainance service locked the control and they asked for the double of the price. We refused to pay and now we have all the control button locked. Could you explain how to unlock the buttons? There should be a combination to do that. Thanks a lot for your help!

@@InverterAlways Hi, thanks a lot for the answer. With the combination of keys it does not unlock. So it was locked from a central controller. Then we have to understand how to unlock it.

Please, I am begging you. Our school has these units and as a custodian We are getting tired of people changing the mode! We have 2 indoor units tied to one outdoor unit, so two rooms tied together. When people keep changing their mode back to heat, the room on the opposite side can’t even have the “fan” mode running, it will state “central control” and unfortunately the installer we have doesn’t know enough about the units to help. I have resorted to completely locking out the unit with the button combo and field number change so that the other room is not cooking all day. We would really appreciate knowing the button combo to put in after doing the prohibit button feature, this way people can still control temp and fan speeds to still accommodate them, not just on and off.
    Please and thank you.

Ah, so you have a heat pump, which limits users capabilities. The whole system must be in heat, or cool, based on the master stat.
First you wanna make sure the master stat is set up for the more priority room.
Next, I would try to adjust fan off settings so that even if the non master stat goes to heat, you can lower setpoint and the fan just shuts off. This usually helps a ton. You can do this by setting the field settings to mode 22 3-03 for fan off during heat thermal off conditions.
Next you can go in to service settings menu of the stat (nav controller brc1e73), and go to prohibit, and then prohibit buttons. Just disable the mode button but leave everything else enabled. Save. Then go to main screen and activate the secret combo buttons that activates the lockout.
At least then it will stay in that mode.
It's important to note however that putting the unit in fan mode when the master is in heat will allow the unit to still heat. On heat pump systems you'll always have hot gas flowing through the coils. Best to get that unit to thermal off so the fan shuts off. Or just turn the unit off.
If you have a central controller there's some programming you can do there too.

@@InverterAlways so we used the button combo and finally! The mode button is prohibited! We didn’t want to lock teachers out fully from adjusting fan speed and adjusting the temperature a bit. Trying to be accommodating, but they just couldn’t seem to get it through their heads that their unit is connected to another classroom’s unit 🤦🏻‍♀️.
They tied classrooms together that are across from each other… and because the building sits true east to west, when one side cooks, the other “freezes” lmao, they should have tied classrooms together that were on the same side of the hallway, but oh well, at least now the hot classrooms shouldn’t cook so much
