I dont always use a TIG finger® but I keep one in my back pocket.
A TIG finger® is like having a prop in your pocket.
For those jobs like aluminum tread plate outside corners, preheated aluminum castings, stainless sanitary welds, chromoly cluster joints, preheated cast iron, and other odd hot jobs where its hard to find a good place to prop, a TIG finger® can bail you out.
