    Very neat indeed. Being a ex Babcock n Wilcox welder, and now retired, your welding is impressive, and immaculate. Where this technique was used on petrochemical plants, and not a workshop, it was a bigger challenge, and an even bigger one, if it was thin wall stainless steel. To say the least, it was a nightmare if it was windy, as you had to watch your argon flow into pipe. And the frustrating thing of being that welder was, that you could go from hero, to zero, if you had repairs on your pipework. At the end of it though, I enjoyed the challenge. So long live you welders out there, and try not to breath to many fumes, and use a air feed helmet, when you can. 🥳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Your videos are so far the most informative and closest to the real life of a welder from what I found on youtube( I mean they are real life). Now I've been welding for ~3 years. I started to tig weld around 1-1.5 years ago, I believe that watching your videos made me learn the trade or at least the basics of it 10x faster and easier. I'm still learning something new every day, and I have a lot ahead of me. But anyways just wanted to thank you for sparing some time to make these videos they really help a lot 🤝👐👐

    Hi ! I've been watching the channel more lately to practice for my pressure ticket, thanks for all the arc shots, it really makes it easy to see the different techniques, and I am now finding my groove between backfeeding the bottom and dipping on the side/top. I was wondering what insulators you are using on the heavy hitter 350, on mine the CK insulator for gas lenses do not fit well, I end up using either stubby gas lenses or a standard collet body, but I would like to be able to use my standard gas lenses as well as larger diameter cups too on this torch since I really enjoy how cool it runs for a gas cooled torch.

      30 lpm

    • @livepost6986
      @livepost6986 ปีที่แล้ว

      *@eplet89 Unless I am missing something I think he did in fact set the purge at 14.16 lpm (to be precise) which would be equivalent to 30 cfh. It appears these flow meters are in cfh. When you look at the top of the flow meter it shows the letters SCFH which stands for Standard Cubic Feet Per hour. There appears to be only one purge hose inserted into the pipe. If there were two then yes it would then be closer to 30 lpm.*

    *Another great video as always. You stated you set the back purge at 30 LPM. However, when you look at the top of the flow meter it has the letters SCFH (standard cubic feet per hour). 30 CFH is equivalent to 14.16 LPM. If you were to use two hoses for the back purge with each set at 30 CFH then yes you would then be closer to 30 LPM but It appears that you are using only one hose. Just an observation. Please forgive me if I am missing something.*

      This may happen when the shielding gas flow is not adequate or when the gas is blown away due to excessive flow. It's essential to ensure the proper gas flow rate, typically 15 to 20 cubic feet per hour (cfh) for most applications, and to check for leaks in fittings and hoses. Contamination can also occur if the gas cylinder is contaminated with moisture.
