He is the great imam, scholar, leader of the believers in hadeeth, Abu ‘Abd-Allaah Muhammad ibn Ismaa’eel ibn Ibraaheem al-Bukhaari. He was born in Bukhaara in Shawwaal of 194 AH, and grew up as orphan. He lost his sight as a child, then Allaah restored to him his sight. He memorized hadeeth as a child, and he was a prodigy in that, may Allaah have mercy on him. The imams attested to his good memory, precision, knowledge, asceticism and worship. Imam Ahmad (may Allaah have mercy on him) said of him: Khorasan has never produced anyone like him. Ibn Khuzaymah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: I have never seen anyone beneath the canopy of heaven who has more knowledge of the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and who has memorized more (hadeeth) than al-Bukhaari. Al-Tirmidhi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: I have never seen in Iraq or in Khorasan anyone with more knowledge of hadeeth criticism, history and isnaads than al-Bukhaari. Al-Bukhaari had more than one thousand shaykhs whom he met in the countries and cities to which he travelled. Among them were: Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Hammaad ibn Shaakir, Makki ibn Ibraaheem and Abu ‘Aasim al-Nabeel. Among those who narrated from al-Bukhaari were: Muslim ibn al-Hajjaaj the author of al-Saheeh; al-Tirmidhi; al-Nasaa’i; Muhammad ibn Nasr al-Marwazi; and many others. Al-Bukhari wrote many books, the most famous of which are: al-Jaami’ al-Saheeh; al-Tareekh al-Kabeer; al-Adab al-Mufrad; Khalq Af’aal al-‘Ibaad. He died, may Allaah have mercy on him, on the night of Eid al-Fitr, 256 AH.

Hello Bobby, I completely agree with you that the words might get corrupted over the years. I would recommend you watching videos about the types of hadiths to understand how we manage to differ the ones that may have been tampered with and the ones that are authentic.
Greatly beneficial video and your reaction is appreciated and beneficial as well. The takeaway here is ...... the amazing potential a soul can accomplish with complete focus, complete sincerity, and good intentions and seeking divine guidance. You are correct.....we should not put our complete faith in ordinary men. This extraordinary imam was an ordinary man who made great contributions by the will of God who deserves all the glory. However, i would certainly be more trusting of Imam Bukhari than listening to Kyle for example. I definitely learned something from your video today and i hope you takeaway a clear and positive view of the bigger picture. We all have a preordained destiny. What we do has a lasting affect whether we realize it in our lifetime or not. Hopefully we put our grand view in the right context. May we all be guided to the correct path.
my Journey is very similar to your own, found the Quran and was really inspired and then found the Hadiths and it reminds me of all the Church rules and regulations from all different sources that frustrated me in the first place. If not for that i would convert myself.
I have same as you, but i have now submitted my self to Allah cause i do believe in the quran as the Word of Allah from the Messenger Muhammad (saw) Hadiths are problematic and the more you look in to the science of it and the books of these people you see there is no unity. Even the 322 Mutawatir Hadiths are contradictory to Quran. You have for example a mutawatir hadith that talks about the verse of stoning being forgotten out of the Quran but the narrator remember it being recited. Thus meaning that Quran is not complete and that stoning has been removed from the Quran? Just imagine this is one of the most authentic Hadiths and it’s contradictory? My recommendation as I am doing now after all the research of it I only believe in Hadiths that are Sahih (authentic) THAT either is confirmed by Quran in full (for example that you should pray) and then see what they say about praying since it’s oral and practical learning by everyone. But for example if a Hadith is saying bad things about dogs and contradicts Quran then I don’t believe in it or at least don’t act on it since Quran is first. Last of all, Quran is peace , way of life , helping others and first and foremost believing in Allah and only in Allah and obeying his messenger. All about being a good human nothing about weird semantics and weird rituals. Just my 2 cents :)
Bobby everyone learn on his own pace . I personally love hadeeth as an Arab I can appreciate its flavor. and I have trust in the generation before me in what they conveyed to us about the prophet. may god open your chest to islam

Well I also question albukari story and all but this has nothing to do with the religion.. We worship the only God (ALLAH) and we follow the Quran and the Hadith that says what is matching with the Quran because we believe Mohammed peace be upon him is the word of God and he will not say anything that is not matching with the Quran so any Hadith that guides you to do what is not in the Quran don’t take it also any Hadith that tells story that is not matching with what is in the Quran don’t take it. You don’t need any emotional story to know the truth and the straight path just read the Quran with open mind and heart and Allah will guide you but only if you want the truth, may Allah guide you to the straight path because it is a simple concept just worship the one who deserves your worship the one who created you and don’t associate anything or anyone with him and follow his rules, the rules that he made for you and your peace because he doesn’t need your worship you need to worship him .this concept is the way for peace within ourselves may Allah bless you
I also admire the hard work of Al-Bukhari but I reject his work. Everything the true hadith says must be contained in the Quran, that's why I don't take any secondary sources along side the words of God.
@@osamahomar8025 that seems really fair, although let’s be honest. 95% of muslims don’t hold this belief and whenever I say I only follow what’s in the Quran it comes with a lot of decisiveness. its very important to point out that the prophet (pbuh) heavily warned about distorting hadith to the point of some people at his time had to exactly say what he said or they would just not say it to any one if even a word they forgot, more over when different people spread the same hadith to different lands, the two lands would still have the same hadith generations after
Even though we are aware that there are some minor criticisms levelled at a few ahaadeeth that are recorded in Saheeh al-Bukhaari, we are certain that there is nothing wrong with applying the label of saheeh to all the ahaadeeth in the book, for the following reasons: 1. Most of the scholars and muhaddithoon think that Imam al-Bukhaari is in the right with regard to matters for which he was criticized. It is well known that it is not correct methodology to accept criticism just because it exists, rather it depends on evidence and proof. Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allaah have mercy on him), in his great book Fath al-Baari and especially in his introduction which is called Hadiy al-Saari, discussed the answer to these minor criticisms, and explained what is correct. 2. The number of ahaadeeth in Saheeh al-Bukhaari, including repetitions - according to the numbering of Muhammad Fu’aad ‘Abd al-Baaqi (may Allaah have mercy on him) - is 7563. When we realize that the number of criticisms is less than twenty, and that most of these criticisms have to do with matters concerning the isnaads, or whether the hadeeth reaches the highest level of saheeh, or they have to do with one or two words in a hadeeth, and that the criticisms which have to do with matters affecting the soundness of the matn (text) are rare and affect no more than one or two or three ahaadeeth - when we know all that, we realize that applying the label of saheeh to everything that is in al-Bukhaari, texts and isnaads, is correct and cannot be denied. Imam al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The ummah is unanimously agreed that these two books are saheeh and it is obligatory to follow their ahaadeeth. End quote. Tahdheeb al-Asma’ wa’l-Lughaat (1/73). Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said: There is no book beneath the canopy of heaven that is more sound than al-Bukhaari and Muslim, after the Qur’aan. End quote. Majmoo’ al-Fataawa (18/74).

Arabic people was famous for their strong memory and these imams were extraordinary among them so the way Hadith was spread is whenever their new Hadith, it had to be announced publicly in musjid nabvi and if the person add or subtract any word from it that word was challenged and looked up for correction so the narrations of authentic hadiths is about how many people confirmed its truefulnness

Then u are weak in Iman, the Sunna is protectes just as the Qur'an is, u are no Muslim if u deny a single Hadith, i'm sry but don't be surprised if u wake up as a Non-Muslim at the day of judgement.
Given that there are many 'Sahih'' hadiths that are downright contradictory to the Quran and are subversive in nature, I too am not impressed with the video. All of this reminds me of Imam Paul and the Bible.

the point u made about the "telephone game" , it has to be said that these words arent whispered into somebody's ear, rather than people who knew each other and talked face to face loudly, aswell, back then when people used to speak the "fus ha" dialect of Arabic, it was very rare to find words that sounded similar (not saying there weren't any just stating that it was very rare), moving on, lets give you the benefit of the doubt and say maybe the narrarators did hear some words incorrectly, it ultimately wouldn't change the true meaning and main point of the hadith(s) I hope this narrows down your impression on how you think these hadiths had mistakes and how you don't have high trust in the hadiths generally. if this answer still doesn't satisfy you, id recommend asking a sheikh about these types of things, ask sheikh Uthman the next time you see him! You’re right. Khorasan was Persia, and it shrank when you look at it Persia today. He was a Persian, like a Tajik Persian. He also came from a Zoroastrian family that converted to Islam. Uzbekistan back then was Khorasan province, and was inhabited by Persians in Al Bukhari’s time. Later it got inhabited by Seljuk Turks. Bukhari through and through a Persian. Salaam bobby, take a look at "Allah and the Cosmos - ONE THRONE SECOND [S2 Part 1]" It's a series named Allah and the cosmos, it's really great and a must for every Muslim to watch.
In Islam, the IMPOSTER of Jesus (Isa) is Kalimat Allah "word OF God" and the Qur'an alters the divinity of Jesus in the sense that Isa of the 7th century Qur'an is merely a prophet/Messenger who is "a confirmer of a word FROM God" (QS 3:39) or “an apostle of Allah, and His Word that He cast toward Mary and a spirit from Him.” (4:171) who is CREATED (QS 3:45-48). In Islam the word is not God as is expressed in John 1:1-3 (or Isaiah 9:6) where the Word/Son IS God and CREATOR. Muslims firmly insist that Muhammad is prophesied in Isaiah 29 and 42) so it would be the highest order of hypocriticy for Muslims to suddenly dismiss the book of Isaiah as unreliable! 700 years before John, God announces through the prophet Isaiah that He (God) will come to earth in the flesh and he (his glory) will be revealed to mankind (all flesh). "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD; Make straight in the desert A highway FOR OUR GOD. Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth; THE GLORY OF THE LORD shall be REVEALED, And all flesh shall SEE IT together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 40:3-5). From this verse-without a shadow of doubt-God himself was coming to the earth and would be SEEN in a human body (flesh) by all flesh (men). Jesus is the the brightness of God's GLORY (Hebrews 1:3). But who was to prepare the way for 'the Lord'/'our God'? "Behold, I send My messenger, and he shall clear the way before Me; and the Lord, whom ye seek, will SUDDENLY come to His TEMPLE, and the messenger of the COVENANT, whom ye delight in, behold, he cometh, saith the LORD of hosts." (Malachi 3:1) There are two messangers in this verse: First, the messanger that prepares the way (John the Baptist). The second messanger is "the messanger of the covenant". This is not John the Baptist because John did not deliver a message about a covenant. Jesus is the messenger of the new covenant of GRACE: "And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the (covenant) LAW was given through Moses, but GRACE and truth came through Jesus Christ. (John 1:16-17). As stated previously, Malachi 3:1 says God would come to his TEMPLE. "Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this TEMPLE, and in three days I will raise it up.” Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this TEMPLE, and will You raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking of the TEMPLE of His BODY (John 2:19-21). So the temple YHVH refers to is the body of Yeshua. This gives us: "Behold! I (YHVH) send my messanger (John) and he (John) shall prepare the way before Me. And shall suddenly come into his (YHVH's) temple (Yeshua's body) the Lord (YHVH) whom you seek; and the messanger of the covenant (Yeshua) which you delight: behold, he (Yeshua) shall come", saith YHVH of hosts. What did Jesus say of John the Baptist? "For this is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’ (Matthew 11:10). In announcing the news of Jesus's birth the angel says: 'Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US.' Matthew 1:23 (see Isaiah 9:6) What did John the Baptist-the messenger preparing the way for Jesus say when the Jews sent priests and Levites to ask if he was the Christ? He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord ,” ’AS THE PROPHET ISAIAH SAID.” (John 1:23). John the Baptist's mission, as prophesied in Micah 3:1, was to make way for Jesus, the Lord-for God, who would come in the flesh. "By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has COME IN THE FLESH is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And THIS IS THE SPIRIT OF THE ANTICHRIST, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world." (I John 4:2-3) What is common between Islam and most heritic cults like Jehovah Witness and the Mormons? They deny John 1:1-that Jesus is the Word of God and IS God. Islam IS ANTICHRIST as it denies, as prophesied in Isaiah, that God would come in the flesh, in the form of the God-man-Jesus Christ. Allah of the Qur’an is an IMITATION of the true God of the Torah and Gospel (QS 29:46). The Qur'an is not the criterion (QS 25:1) which Muslims believe "corrects" the previous scriptures but rather the Qur'an is an abomination which OPPOSES the will, promises and covenants of the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Allah has no written historical records or oral tradition of his existence before 610, except as the pagan god, Hubal ("He who is Baal") worshipped at the centre of pagan worship in Mecca. @@TheWatchmanWebsite Why can't Jesus come back Now? What's stopping him, I thought he was god, And why did Jesus let Muhammad (pbuh) spread Islam and teach the complete religion before his death, and be the reason for billions to go to hell? Where was he? History says there were many chances for Muhamad to die or be killed and yet someone protected him to die a natural death, If he is god, why can't he just get rid of Satan/ego/evil, I thought he was all powerful? Indeed, Jesus/Isa (pbuh) can't do anything for himself let alone others, he is just another Prophet From God, sent to warn the Israelites and no more. Salem alikom, but in hadith there's not only one chain of narration, for one Hadith you can find multiple chain of narration from different people coming from different places that doesn't know each other, if all of them say the same hadith with their chain and by verifying their chain you can tell it's authentic or not, I think if they all agree on the authenticity of Hadith, that's another test passed

The thought that the Prophet (P) wasn't infallible but Bukhari was is insane. 600K hadiths in 16 years and he sorted them all correctly? Meanwhile the sunni """sahih""" hadiths claim that the Prophet (P) could forget the QURAN!!! (bukhari:5038) And they also claim that he was influenced by Iblees (satanic verses episode). And of course this book was biased : there only are a few hadiths narrated by Imam Ali (as) when he was his oldest male sahaba and let's not even talk about the amount of those narrated by Fatima Zahra (as), the "mother of her father". And he didn't cite a single hadith from the Shia Imams while he was contemporaneous with the 10th and 11th Imams while the Prophet Muhammad (P) has said : I [Muhammad] left among you two treasures which, if you cling to them, you shall not be led into error after me. One of them is greater than the other: The book of God [Quran], which is a rope stretched from Heaven to Earth, and [the second one is] my progeny, my Ahl al-Bayt. These two shall not be parted until they return to the pool [of abundance in paradise, kawthar]. (mutawatir hadith)
The Sunnah is the wisdom (al-hikmah) that is mentioned in the Quran in many verses, such as the following (interpretation of the meaning): “Similarly (to complete My Blessings on you), We have sent among you a Messenger (Muhammad) of your own, reciting to you Our Verses (the Qur’aan) and purifying you, and teaching you the Book (the Qur’aan) and the Hikmah (i.e. Sunnah, Islamic laws and Fiqh - jurisprudence), and teaching you that which you used not to know” al-Baqarah 2:151. The Authentic hadeeths are also revelations. As Allah said “Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. 4. It is only a Revelation revealed” [al-Najm 53:3-4]
When i first read the Quran i was amazed and i felt connection with God, it made sense so i accepted the Quran i then accepted “Islam”, what i failed to see is what i really accepted was Sunni Islam which is very different to the real Islam of the Quran, i studied what the hadiths were and I couldn’t believe that people believed this is what Islam was, people coming after Prophet Muhammad and collecting hearsay about him from other people who are all non prophets and then other non prophets have to decide for us which one of those are authentic and to be followed, and this is apparently the religion of God? I will stick with the Quran, the book that God and His messenger gave us. Sunnis and shia and different sects of islam differ on what hadiths to follow, but the Quran all sectarians agree on, why then do they not return to the Quran and see where they went astray? God foretold that this would happen- 45:6. These are God’s Verses which We recite to you in truth. In which hadith (narration) after God and His verses, will they believe? God knows what’s in each heart. Peace
@Bobby, I appreciate the challenge/difficulty to wrap your head around and trust this process due to faults seen in other faiths and simple games we've played (Chinese Whispers etc) HOWEVER, Allah is thee greatest and will protect and preserve the practical bits shown and instructed by the prophet by a method that is sound and works! Think about it, Qur'an initially started off the same way, people heard, memorised as a community of people and those who memorised would be able to spot or correct any errors or additions immediately, they'd teach the Qur'an down to their students and there is a chain even in that regards just as we have the same with Hadith, if you can step away from the faults seen else where Islam does this right with the blessing given by Allah who is not weak to protect his religion for us now nearing the end of times... The fact we are VERY aware of those that are weak and fabricated hadiths and compared to those that are sound and authentic hadiths is enough proof that Islamic scholars (generation after generation) would never allow or advocate anything that would harm the believers faith or practise. Note: Hadith don't break the religion about the oneness of Allah, the pillars of Islam, the articles of faith etc, it aids in the how and what we do in the day to day... Hadith is yet another side of Islam that is so rich in its detail and strictness that it just glows with such awe and appreciate of Allah's beautiful religion to us. Don't make the mistake that 'mans word' as the same issue that Christianity has been plagued with and corrupted by anonymous authors that changed the belief and true sayings of Jesus and misguiding people away from true monotheism , Hadith does no such thing to Islam and Islam would not come to make the same mistake as Allah promises to preserve this final message! This shouldn't be a deal breaker and we need this as reference on how to do stuff as practising Muslims on the day to day. Sorry for the essay...
Bobby i think you could have a dialogue with syeikh uthman about the science of hadith. If im not mistaken, he has a master degree in hadith. From what i knew Imam bukhari has the strictest disciplines in accepting hadith as a authentic hadith (not just that have been mention in the video only).
@Dan M I'm sorry to tell you that the concept which tells us that we are born with a sin just doesn't makes sense to me. And then after that, to tell us that other people (or you call him son of god) sacrifice for me for the sin that we didn't commit at the the first place is just sounds nonsense to me. Plus, the story of prophet Abraham (PBUH) and his son sacrifice is not the same at all with the story of jesus that you believed in.
Bobby, I agree with you a 100%. As a Muslim, I find myself exclusively relying on the Quran. To rely on human endeavor which is prone to errors and politics is quite dangerous. I have no doubt that some of the hadiths we have today are authentic, nevertheless, there is no way for us to confirm with certainty its authenticity. The Quran states within it that it is complete and has details for everything.
Brothers, hit the thumbs up so that the message reaches Bobby 9:09 For this reason (the possibility of a trustworthy memorizer man making mistakes), hadith scholars developed the science of Al elal, which searches for hidden errors in hadiths that appear to be authentic. This is a very accurate science, and it is often based on comparison between the narrations. This is from Google translation, and I wish I could explain more to you, but for lack of accuracy, I contented myself with this, and you must know Bobby that the knowledge of hadith is greater than you might think, and the secret of that is that God was the one who facilitated this Science and its rules to preserve hadith, because the Qur’an is not understood without hadith, and hadith is not known without special knowledge of it, so to preserve God book and its correct understanding, God preserve the hadith of his prophet through the science of hadith. I hope that you will collect your questions about the science of hadith and then ask them to a specialist in this science, such as Sheikh Othman.
Bobby, Bobby, dear Bobby, I really admire your insisting on studyingand digging thru different areas of Islam. You've come far and the Qur'an has your love, so why let the hadith stop you. As you say you can't worship a mortal man, the hadith is not made to be worshipped, it's a tool. I am a convert and I tried to dig a little into hadith, but gave it up, not that I reject it, not at all! I just decided to leave the study of it to others. I stick to the 40 Nawawi and some Qudsi hadith I allways loved the the 100 hadith qudsi, a book I have. Hadith don't confuse me anymore, they did 25 years ago. I am a sunni muslim in peace with hadith, knowing that hadith are an unseparable part of my faith, I use many of them, unknowingly for sure, because I am not a knower of them, but when I do wudu, pray, greet ppl, eat, say duas ect ect it's all thanks to hadith. Don't dig any deeper, you just risk getting confused. Take your shahada and you will automatically implement hadith in your daily life in a usefull balanced way. Things take time, maybe after some time, years, Allah only knows, you will come to truly understand the hadith and be able to use it as happily as you use the Quran. Or maybe not, that wont make you a bad muslim. Come on take your shahada, Bobby.

The thing is bobby, i agree with you about the possibility of error in transmition of anything but that possibility is gone when you give multiple exact word transmission of different narrators , that happens with the hadith and those are the degree of hadith, the other thing is the 600,000 hadiths each one isn't unique they get repeated but if the same saying is narrated from another route of narrators it is considered a different hadith hope u get what im trying to say.
Assalamu aleykum bobby. I recommend that you learn the strict criteria used in the science of hadith. The science of hadith has many branches. The lives of the narrators were kept down to the smallest detail. And these hadiths were learned by thousands of hadith circles and were told over and over again. It was not much different from memorizing the Qur'an. In an article I read before, which I can't remember exactly, they listen to their national epics from the mouth of a folk poet in a village in Bulgaria. And they see that this epic is almost exactly the same as the original. In the example of whispering in your ear that you mentioned in the video, the reason for the change in the spoken word may be that the spoken word cannot be heard clearly.

Even if you're skeptical of the hadith, you must learn to accept them, they help clarify so much of the Quran and the stories of the prophet and how he lived his life. We learn from the example of the prophet. Likewise you can learn about the most authentic hadiths and their criteria, they have a very strict criteria for being accepted as authentic. Much like the Quran, the hadith are a source of information that help guide you.
Salam, why do he need to accept something that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta´la have not authorized? If you read the Quran it says that it is fully detailed and the only guidance.

Bobby, the difference between broken telephone and this, is is this falls in to lesson giving, or teaching and learning, which follows certain principles including but not limited to verification and confirmation. When you are learning something you would repeat it back and check what you heard and ensure you heard it correctly, and it would generally be presented audibly, and clearly among other criteria for teaching and / or guiding. As for broken telephone, the information transmitted one way in a muddled whisper, and the listener often doesn’t, or isn’t required to verify And confirm what he or she has heard, and just continue passing on what they assumed the person said in the spirit of the game. However when guidance or lessons are being disseminated down, you would generally double check content and many times the point or lesson is repeated numerous times by the the teacher or by other pupils/ listeners, there by giving you ample opportunity to verify what’s been said.

salam brother , may Allah bless all ur work u doing , as a muslim i would say i have the Quraan clear enough and I may respect hadith but i don't believe or I don't go with it , cause if Allah said in the Quraan and told prophet Mouhammad peace be upon him , This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favor to you. I have approved Islam to be your religion. That means that's it nothing to add nothing to remove .
In the game of telephone you and your friends play, you usually can not hear what the other person said, and almost no one is praised for their good memory. The narrations however are all reliable, honest people with a really good memory. And they did not talk in secret, so the next narrator could clearly hear and memorize what was said.
i explored Islam deeply the last few months and followed it as close to sunnah as possible. Yesterday I went to my local Catholic parish and received absolution for my dabbling with Islam and then went to Mass today. It feels good to be back in the Church. I am also free to speak more freely with myself about the Haddith and how I found it odd to read. The Prophet giving advice on women's mensuration as well as saying after saying of how the Prophet's wives washed his semen out of his garments really took the 'holiness' out of Islam for me. I appreciate the point of Hadith in that through them Islam is able to keep coherency in the teachings (the same way the Catholic Church does with Christianity) and how it all falls apart when one strays from it (ie. Quran only Islamists, Protestant demoninations aplenty with their own interpretations).
It is said that on his dzenaza (funeral) even the ones that were spreading lies about him, the ones who were his enemies, felt sadness (as they probably regret losing such a great man).
You are right no human is sacred ..thats why you can revise Bukharis hadith and his criterias...and many Hadith scolars still do ...so it's still very objective

Brother, I mean this in the most charitable way possible... If you're seriously taking the approach to Islam that you need to read *everything* and understand every little thing inside and out (like reading the full Sahih al Bukhari) then you're never going to actually make a decision. If the rational truth of Islam isn't enough, if the theological truth isn't enough, if reading the entire Quran (and concluding it's The Word of God) isn't enough; then I fear you've set a shifting bar that will never be reached and shaitan will end up the victor because you gained "all the knowledge" but never made the leap. This obsession with "learning everything" then *maybe* taking Shahada is a trap from Iblis. Allah swt grant you peace, blessings and mercy; it's time brother. You've put this off far too long.
I’m a revert myself and I also have a skepticism and fear of taking anything other than the Quran too seriously. Hadiths aren’t useless but I think we should be skeptical of them. They are not the word of Allah.
There are early *written* manuscripts of the Hadith that were used by Ahmed ibn Hanbal. He verified what he heard with what was written and saw that it matched perfectly. Not even a single difference between the manuscript and what was memorized by the narrator. That's just an example of how well preserved the Hadith are.
so you think all the 99% of the 600.000 that bukhari threw away was also sahih it just didnt reach his supposed "strict" criteria which mufti Abu layth showed was not strict at all. supposedly Bukhari would hide names of untrustworthy narrators by using surnames and names like Muhammed , so you cant know which Muhammed he means since many had the name Muhammed

Hi Bobby, interesting video to say the least, and I do understand your skepticism. in the past few years, there were numerous campaigns against hadith and personalities like Al Bukhari , that forced us who lacked knowledge to seek it, and to get the proper picture on this I do strongly suggest talking to a Hadith scholar ( Like sheik Uthman Ibn Faruq , you already spoke to him once and he has an Ma on the matter so he will be able to explain a lot better than me) Hadith is different from Quran, you can easily lead yourself astray if you dive headlong without any prior knowledge. its like someone who never tried swimming and just dives into an ocean and expects not to drown. journey
Dear brother, you can also watch videos about the pure Imams of Ahlulbayt (aleihi as salam). They (a) were the living love of Allah (swt). This would be nice. Greetings from Bavaria.
Bobby One very important condition on Sahih ahadith is that they have to have multiple chains, which basically decentralizes its authenticity like Blockchain nowadays. For example, If you have a Hadith and it has some wrong or different wordings, you'll catch that from the other chains and narrations that you already verified, then you can reach a concenses on the on that the majority of authenticated chains agree upon
chain of narrations is often multiple for one sahih hadith I mean not the length of the chains but the amount of chains that goes up to prophet SAW even if you do not believe in one, you can believe in 2 or 3 trustworthy chains of people it is like how Quran memorized till now, although for Quran the chains has excessive redundancies all of this is similar to new technology of blockchain, how bitcoin ledger is kept on blocks kept on multiple nodes
Sahih bukhari Hadith Ref 4240-4241 *Abu bakr and umer* made daughter of Prophet Bibi Fatima(sa), leader of women in Paradise hurted so much that She (SA) died angry with them and asked Imam Ali (AS) to bury Her without informing them. Bobby you are right in saying that how can you believe that "People" transmitted the hadith correctly down the generations. That is the exact reason Imam Bukhari had such strict rules to filter out Ahadith and select around 7000+ out of the 600,000+ he had in knowledge. If you look into Sahih Al-Bukhari, you will find the same hadith from multiple chains of reference. That makes them even more authentic. That is the only reason Sahih Al-Bukhari is considered the most authentic book in Islam after Qura'an.
Well by that logic what can you believe of islam? We pray the way we pray because of the hadith it's not written in the Qur'an how many rakah to pray in which prayer. They lived with the Prophet saws and they not only memorised but thought about it non stop. Many people have movies that they love and they can say everything from like 10 different movies. How? Repetition and being concentrated and emotionally invested in what you're listening. The telephone game is a problematic analogy because you whisper and when you whisper it's not as easy to understand while if you just say once outloud clearly then everyone can repeat what you said without a mistake. The hadiths weren't whispered either it was something they thought about they would bring them joy and fear and hope. Nothing was more important than that so how can they forget or make a mistake?

The trustworthiness of people is always questionable but the thing is if you read the books of ilm al rijal “science of men” which basically goes into the detailed biography of every individual in that link of narration and sheds a light on these individuals and examines their lifestyle along with their Islamic practices and mental capacities. It is a very precise science which reduces the chances of error greatly. It is still possible to say that Sahih al Bukhari isn’t a 100% accurate book but it is the most accurate and precise human written book in regards to the prophet peace be upon him.

Most of the narrators were actually students who were taking notes. As for Imam Al Bukhari was an exception that he was committing to memory. However, when he was finalizing his book, he mostly relied on written accounts.
The purpose of the hadith is to help mankind live their life the way ,the Prohpet( SAW) lived. Its not a part of the Quran bcuz these Hadith are the words and/or actions of the Prophet[SAW). Which help understand the commands in the Quran. . Let me give an example . In Quran, it says to Perform Hajj and Fast in the month of ramadan. But the quran doesnt tell us how to we perform Hajj or How do we keep a fast. But in the Hadith we have the directionz of Prophet( SAW) . We tells us how to do it. Their are several examples like these. But i hope you get the jist of why we require the hadith and why they have to be 100% Authenthic. And Sahih Al Bhukari Hadith are not only checked by the chain of narrators( Isnad) but also the chain of text( Matn). Which ensured that any interpolations of words did not take place in the Authenthic Hadith .
Many hadiths had multiple chains (mutawatir) of narrators so they were transmitted through multiple companions and tabi'een. When someone narrates a hadith from Spain and someone in Iraq narrates that same hadith but with a different chain of transmission and another person narrates it from elsewhere, that hadith is deemed authentic beyond all doubt.

Just to clarify a little more. There are Hadith that are called Mutawatir (recited repeatedly). meaning that multiple Sahaba (companions) transmitted the Hadith. Now, there are hundreds of Mutawatir Hadith in text (exact same words related by the narrators) and over 1000 Mutawatir Hadith in meaning (the wording is very close, but the meaning is the same). Think about it, if I ask 10 different people about what a person said, and they quote his exact words, I would have no doubt in accepting it. And if those 10 people were to tell me the same story but in their words, the number of testimony gives me a pretty clear insight into what happened. As for the Ahad (singular Hadith) present in Sahih Al-Bukhari, then yes, the video resumes simply the way he went about grading the Hadith. May Allah guide us all.
There are ahadith that could only witnessed or narrated by one, for example Aishah the prophets wife pbuh.

Among those who narrated from al-Bukhaari were:
Muslim ibn al-Hajjaaj the author of al-Saheeh; al-Tirmidhi; al-Nasaa’i; Muhammad ibn Nasr al-Marwazi; and many others.
Al-Bukhari wrote many books, the most famous of which are: al-Jaami’ al-Saheeh; al-Tareekh al-Kabeer; al-Adab al-Mufrad; Khalq Af’aal al-‘Ibaad.

I have same as you, but i have now submitted my self to Allah cause i do believe in the quran as the Word of Allah from the Messenger Muhammad (saw)
Hadiths are problematic and the more you look in to the science of it and the books of these people you see there is no unity.

Even though we are aware that there are some minor criticisms levelled at a few ahaadeeth that are recorded in Saheeh al-Bukhaari, we are certain that there is nothing wrong with applying the label of saheeh to all the ahaadeeth in the book, for the following reasons:
1.
Imam al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
The ummah is unanimously agreed that these two books are saheeh and it is obligatory to follow their ahaadeeth. End quote.

Arabic people was famous for their strong memory and these imams were extraordinary among them
so the way Hadith was spread is whenever their new Hadith, it had to be announced publicly in musjid nabvi
and if the person add or subtract any word from it
that word was challenged and looked up for correction so the narrations of authentic hadiths is about how many people confirmed its truefulnness
It’s understandable for a non Muslim to be skeptical of the Hadith’s; however, although the Quran is complete in of itself, Hadith’s are what we go to, to understand the Quran and apply it’s teachings! If you ever read the ahadiths you will see that they never contradict the Quran, they just make it easier to understand. Moreover, when we pray our five daily prayers, the routine you see is found in Hadiths, not the Quran! That’s just one example amongst many!
As always God bless you, and may HE increase you in knowledge!

@@TheBobbysPerspective Just to clarify a little more. There are Hadith that are called Mutawatir (recited repeatedly from different chain of peoples from different places). meaning that multiple Sahaba (companions) transmitted the Hadith from which again multiple tabiun companions of sahaba narrated with similar words but same meaning.
"Behold, I send My messenger, and he shall clear the way before Me; and the Lord, whom ye seek, will SUDDENLY come to His TEMPLE, and the messenger of the COVENANT, whom ye delight in, behold, he cometh, saith the LORD of hosts." (Malachi 3:1)
There are two messangers in this verse: First, the messanger that prepares the way (John the Baptist). The second messanger is "the messanger of the covenant". This is not John the Baptist because John did not deliver a message about a covenant. Jesus is the messenger of the new covenant of GRACE:
"And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
This gives us:
"Behold!
In announcing the news of Jesus's birth the angel says:
'Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US.'
Matthew 1:23 (see Isaiah 9:6)
What did John the Baptist-the messenger preparing the way for Jesus say when the Jews sent priests and Levites to ask if he was the Christ?
He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord ,” ’AS THE PROPHET ISAIAH SAID.” (John 1:23).
John the Baptist's mission, as prophesied in Micah 3:1, was to make way for Jesus, the Lord-for God, who would come in the flesh.
"By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has COME IN THE FLESH is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And THIS IS THE SPIRIT OF THE ANTICHRIST, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world." (I John 4:2-3)
What is common between Islam and most heritic cults like Jehovah Witness and the Mormons? Hubal was the Allah of the Kaaba.

Lot of controversy about Bukhari 😡😡😡that’s why we have people go to extreme Behavior
The thought that the Prophet (P) wasn't infallible but Bukhari was is insane. 600K hadiths in 16 years and he sorted them all correctly? Meanwhile the sunni """sahih""" hadiths claim that the Prophet (P) could forget the QURAN!!! (bukhari:5038)
And they also claim that he was influenced by Iblees (satanic verses episode).
And of course this book was biased : there only are a few hadiths narrated by Imam Ali (as) when he was his oldest male sahaba and let's not even talk about the amount of those narrated by Fatima Zahra (as), the "mother of her father".
And he didn't cite a single hadith from the Shia Imams while he was contemporaneous with the 10th and 11th Imams while the Prophet Muhammad (P) has said :
I [Muhammad] left among you two treasures which, if you cling to them, you shall not be led into error after me.
The Sunnah is the wisdom (al-hikmah) that is mentioned in the Quran in many verses, such as the following (interpretation of the meaning):
“Similarly (to complete My Blessings on you), We have sent among you a Messenger (Muhammad) of your own, reciting to you Our Verses (the Qur’aan) and purifying you, and teaching you the Book (the Qur’aan) and the Hikmah (i.e. Sunnah, Islamic laws and Fiqh - jurisprudence), and teaching you that which you used not to know”
al-Baqarah 2:151. The Authentic hadeeths are also revelations. As Allah said “Nor does he speak of (his own) desire.
4. It is only a Revelation revealed”

Brothers, hit the thumbs up so that the message reaches Bobby
9:09 For this reason (the possibility of a trustworthy memorizer man making mistakes), hadith scholars developed the science of Al elal, which searches for hidden errors in hadiths that appear to be authentic.

I am very much impressed by IMAM AL BUKHARI'S memory. He set toughest criteria for authenticing Hadith. The greatest of all IMAM.
so you think all the 99% of the 600.000 that bukhari threw away was also sahih it just didnt reach his supposed "strict" criteria which mufti Abu layth showed was not strict at all. supposedly Bukhari would hide names of untrustworthy narrators by using surnames and names like Muhammed , so you cant know which Muhammed he means since many had the name Muhammed

You'r wrong Bobby hère realy wrong .
Bobby One very important condition on Sahih ahadith is that they have to have multiple chains, which basically decentralizes its authenticity like Blockchain nowadays.
For example, If you have a Hadith and it has some wrong or different wordings, you'll catch that from the other chains and narrations that you already verified,
then you can reach a concenses on the on that the majority of authenticated chains agree upon
Please don't compare Paul to these Imams, they are on high level in front of ALLAH and his Rasool.
chain of narrations is often multiple for one sahih hadith
I mean not the length of the chains but the amount of chains that goes up to prophet SAW
even if you do not believe in one, you can believe in 2 or 3 trustworthy chains of people
it is like how Quran memorized till now, although for Quran the chains has excessive redundancies
all of this is similar to new technology of blockchain, how bitcoin ledger is kept on blocks kept on multiple nodes
I am muslim and I believe that Qur an is unchanged but Allah nowhere promised that Hadith - narrations will be 100 procent correct ..

Alhamdulillah

And u still defend them is amazing to me.
Indeed, some conflicts regarding to him and his life, however, the history shows us this situation now days.
