Any number of people can get the fishing hat in a week. The only requirement is that you fish up the rare fish. It's a myth that only the first person gets it.
The fishing hat comes from turning in a quest for a rare fish ...not from catching the most fishes. that gives different rewards So basically if you get lucky catching that fish you just have to turn it in and you get the quest reward ... the hard part is actually being able to fish in STV counting the fact you will most likely be a couple of bars away from lvl 20 while trying to do that and there are skull mobs all over the place.

can confirm. as a 60 it took me two attempts probably 500ish of the fish caught. i got the +5 fishing line but re-cast one time on my first session then 2nd time i got this. I got both near the waterfall just south of grom gol - that seems to be my lucky spot (if your horde)much easier

I only disagree with Venomstrike on this list. Lil timmy's peashooter is simply better, because it has both higher end dmg and dps, making it overall a more stable weapon in terms of damage, while you can make bullets as engineer which are better than the normal bullets/arrows you buy from vendors . Also you ought to enchant it with Biznick's accurascope if you're going hardcore. In which phase can you obtain Glacial Stone / Nightblade? Is it in Naxxramas patch? Where many items change their stats, like Sean of Wrynn or Nogg's Gold Ring. Also at the same patch 19s can obtain Trailblazer Boots. The title should be: "7 Overpowered Items For 19 Twinks In Classic WoW" , since if we take in consideration 29s, there are even better weapon/gear you can get at only 29 like: Master Hunter's Rifle or Razzeric's Racing Grips or Goblin Rocket Helmet if you are gnome. But what is the most op twink item in classic (pre nerf) is the Gnomish Death Ray for 39s. It's gets even better in TBC (pre nerf) where you would see a rogue having Windstorm Hammer enchanted with Mongoose, or a fury warrior with Bleeding Crescent and Crescent of Forlorn Spirits or Archeus for arms warrior
I remember back then the times I did it with my special and being at 255 healing power not spell power that's what it was for. It may of changed later or then I forgot.i farmed wailing for the rare spawn fairy dragon to try and get that wand. It was that then so maybe time made me lost but I remember it being quite high and the shocked like yes ill guard you my 19 pries in a fishing hat.
tbc 49 bracket was insane. U had access to ridiculus items from maraudon and brd, some cool overpowered epics and the casters got to use a mini-zandalarian trinket. That trinket on my orc elemental shaman ( blood fury) and my best in slot gear for spell dmg with all the enchants + berserkerk was basically creating montanges like vanila 60 elemental shamans BWL geared. Ridiculus really.
My twink 19 rogue was duel weilding the red hot pokers from scarlett monestery; best daggers I thought. Also had some friends help me with the arena grandmaster trinket. Engineering items help tons too. Mind control helm was amazing!
Torturing poker was a lvl 29 weapon. In vanilla I leveled my rogue from whatever the lowest lvl to enter SM GY at to a couple bars from 30 on nothing but killing Interrogator Vishas and NEVER got the damn drop. That was the only BIS I couldnt get.
Actually paladins are very common in the 19 twink bracket and they DO have a lot of their class defining spells (freedom, bubble, bop, hoj, wisdom, lay on hands etc.). They are considered to be in the top 3 classes of the 19 twink bracket. Rogues are very overrated in the 19 bracket as they don't have any of their stuns, nor poisons or even vanish.
@@davidthompson6099 They don't really have those huge ambush crits in the level 19 bracket. They can crit around 600 which is less than half the hp of a well geared twink. They don't have their +ambush crit chance from talents and their stealth is weak as well. Almost everyone in the 19 brackets go swords anyway.
Big facts. I twinkled a rogue. 19 was ok, but I decided to move up to the 20-29 bracket, and if I remember correctly the difference is night and day. Had alot more fun at 29 and 39 respectively. ( ended up taking g that rogue to endgame but left him at bg cap levels for a while In each respected bracket (29,39,49..etc.) this was in wotlk though. Haven't actually played in awhile so I hope I remembered right.
@@MsBrookeWilcox Yeah in the 29- and above brackets rogues are top tier and are way more fun because they have most of their class defining spells. Wotlk and vanilla twinking were almost the same, but TBC added some new dungeon gear and enchants while Wotlk added heirlooms at some point. This didn't really change which classes were top tier anyway.

I wasnt that much into endgame raids, the realm I played was low population. So only 2-3 guilds actually raided. It was hard to get geared. I changed realms and factions, played restoration druid and raided with him. Got him geared for restoration, and for boomkin . Pretty sure wotlk had boomkin buffed tf up . Lmao I remember bodying people with him. Ahhhhhh the memories.

Funny, I remember running SFK over and over on my 60 warrior back in the day. Actually was able to get 2 of them in less than 10 runs, and I sold them for 200ish gold to get the remaining gold I needed for epic mount.😁
@ali kamal if I had a dollar for every scrubby thing I did in Vanilla, id be well off 😅. I was 13 and it was my first MMO so I did a lot of dumb things >_>. Though I was just happy to finally get my epic mount. I stopped playing it very much after that, and about 3 months into BC I quit permanently. Though the first year or so, WoW was pretty much the only reason to be alive 🤣.

I did the medicine pouch for my huntard at 19. Along with grand master trinket and the Burning Crusade leg armor. Made my leatherworkers. I want to stay it gave 40 hp and some other stat too in the day. Really can't remember.

i remember back in the late tbc/wotlk days of mine i had furbolg medicine pouch on my lvl 1 twink rogue and i was basically impossible to kill, specially when i received agm aswell, absolute monster you can become with such items
Assassin's Blade is probably preferred by Subtlety Rogues due to the +20% Ambush talent, I remember being able to ambush players for around 440-580 damage critical hits in WSG and simply fade away a short time later and do it all over again... I *did* have the Arena Grandmaster trinket but I found that the Minor Recombobulator was far more practical as it was basically a 200HP heal every 5 minutes, independent of a Healing Potion. The main problem with the Arena Grandmaster was that it was simple to dispel or purge... So you had to make sure that you were going to A, execute the dispeller before moving onto another target or B, ensure that there wasn't one nearby before you attacked your target.
Dan Hay also my experience is that rogues usually are just good against people who don’t twink or people who have no exp. Almost every other lvl 19 class beats rogue. Except warrior.
Nam Nguyen it’s problematic when the rogue can Ambush for 550, then backstab right after for 200 - for an unprepared medium equipment enemy, that’s usually a lethal combination right there. There’s no stun, no delay, just a player running - then dead...
I traded a crusader enchant recipe (which at the time was selling for 300g.) for Truefaith vestments recipe, the 2000mana flask recipe, and an Assassin's Blade. Without the assassin's blade the worth of the 2 items was around 200g. Will the Assassin's blade sell for more than a 100g? Do you think i will make my money back or make a profit? The guy said it can be worth a lot. I got it like 2 months ago and have been waiting for BG's to sell it...
Had been attempting to get the #1 trinket since way back in the day. Even on low-pop servers, it's impossible to obtain without a group of max-level characters, or the devotion to wait for those lucky opportunities when nobody else shows up.

Back in Vanilla it was very difficult to maintain more than 1 max level character, so instead of having alts, I had twinks. I had soo many of them. I had a 19 priest, a 19 rogue, a 29 rogue, a 29 paladin, a 49 druid, a 49 hunter, and a 49 warlock. I had more fun playing those toons than I did on my lvl 60. I had to share my story before watching the vid. I really hope the gnomish mind control cap is on this list. EDIT: Your list was missing ALOT. like alot alot. But I'll give you a pass since you're most likely trying to go back and find out all this stuff for the first time.
Lol you're joking right? You can go from 1-120 in 55 hrs (I have never used Azeroth auto-pilot) If my memory serves me it took closer to 200ish hours to get to 60? Plus there was only 1 way to get raid level gear back then, which was doing a 40 man raid. So..... no. Not just a quest addon lol...

I ran a 19/29 twink guild on Andorhal way back in the day (Paper St. Soap Co.). I can tell you my 19 UD priest and 29 BE pally were monsters. Both had arena grand master and the 19 had the lucky fishing hat as well as that wand. She was a pro flag runner when we weren't farming honor. This was before heirloom items, there was a +9 str +9 stam shoulders you could quest for as well. I miss those toons more than my lvl 80s. Note: lvl 19's couldn't use crusader, i believe it could only work on item lvl 35+ gear. It took awhile for me to farm a 2h mace from gnommer to use on my 29 pally.
Shame they didn't un-nerf the Talon of Vultros, that thing back in the day was amazing for rogue twinks, the damage was super high too, then blizz nerfed it to be level 21 requirement with less damage. Vultros was a pain to find half the time because it had a weekly timer, which later become 21-32 hours timer. Had a great drop rate too. Anyways yeah, im sure there is a few other items that got nerfed too.
@@SirVestinRunescape Before it's level 21 requirement, it had none, so you would see level 9 rogues twinking with it. It was really annoying, especially if the rogue was also an engineer for all sorts of goodies.
@@gurtner9 They were common on PvP servers, usual places they would hang about it is the Barrens and Westfall. Obviously to annoy the new players to WoW who went straight for an Orc or Human character.

I can answer the second part of the question; the rarest creatures have nothing to do with the story (from my knowledge, blizzard might have changed that in the last years)
btw, shamans can't use 2h mace or axe unless they get the talent, which they can't do until minimum level 20 also, AGM was much more OP before they nerfed it, a lvl 10 rogue with 2 of them would have absolutely INSANE dodge chance...
My friend and I made 39 lvl pallys,we'd run each other toos to get the best gear,he got a pendulum drop which I always was jealous of,but those time were so great.

It took me years of running sfk to see it drop and I got it when only the bosses could drop the item so it was like 0.01% drop on only 4-5 mobs in the entire dungeons. I lost the loot roll to some random who had no idea what it was. He ended up giving it to me and I instantly resold it for like 25k to a twink friend
30 minute CD on that trinket seems pretty useless to me , sure its going to save u once in a while in a BG or arena but are u going to sit and wait for CD to be back before que for another arena ?
I had a Lv 19 twink with Arena Grand Master and venomstrike during Wotlk. Just logged on with him again, trinket still equipped even though I think it's not obtainable at now Lv 9 anymore.... Bags still full of healing potions, switfness potions, bandages and mana potions.. even without 100% optimal gear he was a monster bc of the trinket alone.... Halpmeh on EU-Lordaeron
One thing that makes me sad about classic is that the low level PVP brackets are going to be literally 100% twinks. The whole point of having twinks back in the day was destroying all the casuals with your OP gear, but those moments will be extremely rare now and twinks will be the vast majority.
I dont care, i made a lvl 19 twink priest back in the time ... And i destroyed 1v1 or 1v2 twinks... Abd casuals? I could walk the damn area with the whole team on me and only being oom killed me ... Fun as hell!

Roger I had a couple of really good twinks that pawned. Its really about being a good player, once your in a 20% bis gap it won't matter at this point. I didn't have anyone to grind with I just bought what was available and I received my 25k honor kills in the 3 months against twink guilds so its not required for all the Indiana Jones questing man.
any 60 can run all the way to the end and place the twink in the pool at the bottom and master loot it or group loot it to the twink. took me about 6 runs to get it.
i solod sfk on my rogue from the moment it could possibly solo it, as well as several times on elysium, never got it i ran my friend through sfk 2 or 3 times both shadowfang AND assassin's blade dropped i think he knew i would hunt him down if he looted it
This isnt an item but rather the Retaliation ability with warriors. I'm a level 43 warrior and have killed a level 55+ fury warrior by using it. I got his hp to below half by Retaliation swings, hit a mortal strike and then as he ran away, I intercepted and executed him . He mustve been pissed that he died by a gray level player because about 3 more level 55+ came to kill me along with him lol
I don't think anyone does any research ay. I swear they just go off memory or what they used to think it was... A little biut of research shows the changes in DPS between venomstrike, timmys and the bow of plunder
This is a poorly informed video. You don't need to be the first to turn in the fish to get the lucky fishing hat. It's a specific rare fish unrelated to the competition itself Paladin, Priests and Hunters are considered the best twinking classes. Agm does not give you 3 times your hp. Full bis twink hp is 1000-1300 (no buffs).

Engineer DeepDive helmet is +15 stam also however u need 230 engineering to use it. I use it for my 29 gnome mage.

the strongest item is a skinning knife with an enchantment of 30 spd, it can be worn from the first level at 60 and later sold at auction

Rogues can do a really solid ambush crit and 1 shot some people. That has always been the big claim to fame. Sap also is super useful.

Assassin's Blade is probably preferred by Subtlety Rogues due to the +20% Ambush talent, I remember being able to ambush players for around 440-580 damage critical hits in WSG and simply fade away a short time later and do it all over again...
I *did* have the Arena Grandmaster trinket but I found that the Minor Recombobulator was far more practical as it was basically a 200HP heal every 5 minutes, independent of a Healing Potion.
The main problem with the Arena Grandmaster was that it was simple to dispel or purge... So you had to make sure that you were going to A, execute the dispeller before moving onto another target or B, ensure that there wasn't one nearby before you attacked your target.
Dan Hay also my experience is that rogues usually are just good against people who don’t twink or people who have no exp. Almost every other lvl 19 class beats rogue. Except warrior.
Nam Nguyen it’s problematic when the rogue can Ambush for 550, then backstab right after for 200 - for an unprepared medium equipment enemy, that’s usually a lethal combination right there. There’s no stun, no delay, just a player running - then dead...
I traded a crusader enchant recipe (which at the time was selling for 300g.) for Truefaith vestments recipe, the 2000mana flask recipe, and an Assassin's Blade. Without the assassin's blade the worth of the 2 items was around 200g. Will the Assassin's blade sell for more than a 100g? Do you think i will make my money back or make a profit? The guy said it can be worth a lot. I got it like 2 months ago and have been waiting for BG's to sell it...

Had been attempting to get the #1 trinket since way back in the day. Even on low-pop servers, it's impossible to obtain without a group of max-level characters, or the devotion to wait for those lucky opportunities when nobody else shows up.
In BC I got 2x AGM trinkets. Simply logged in at 3 and 6 am every day

Back in Vanilla it was very difficult to maintain more than 1 max level character, so instead of having alts, I had twinks. I had soo many of them. I had a 19 priest, a 19 rogue, a 29 rogue, a 29 paladin, a 49 druid, a 49 hunter, and a 49 warlock. I had more fun playing those toons than I did on my lvl 60. I had to share my story before watching the vid. I really hope the gnomish mind control cap is on this list. EDIT: Your list was missing ALOT. like alot alot. But I'll give you a pass since you're most likely trying to go back and find out all this stuff for the first time.

Lol you're joking right? You can go from 1-120 in 55 hrs (I have never used Azeroth auto-pilot) If my memory serves me it took closer to 200ish hours to get to 60? Plus there was only 1 way to get raid level gear back then, which was doing a 40 man raid. So..... no. Not just a quest addon lol...

I ran a 19/29 twink guild on Andorhal way back in the day (Paper St. Soap Co.). I can tell you my 19 UD priest and 29 BE pally were monsters. Both had arena grand master and the 19 had the lucky fishing hat as well as that wand. She was a pro flag runner when we weren't farming honor. This was before heirloom items, there was a +9 str +9 stam shoulders you could quest for as well. I miss those toons more than my lvl 80s.
Note: lvl 19's couldn't use crusader, i believe it could only work on item lvl 35+ gear. It took awhile for me to farm a 2h mace from gnommer to use on my 29 pally.

Shame they didn't un-nerf the Talon of Vultros, that thing back in the day was amazing for rogue twinks, the damage was super high too, then blizz nerfed it to be level 21 requirement with less damage. Vultros was a pain to find half the time because it had a weekly timer, which later become 21-32 hours timer. Had a great drop rate too.
Anyways yeah, im sure there is a few other items that got nerfed too.

@@SirVestinRunescape Before it's level 21 requirement, it had none, so you would see level 9 rogues twinking with it. It was really annoying, especially if the rogue was also an engineer for all sorts of goodies.

I can answer the second part of the question; the rarest creatures have nothing to do with the story (from my knowledge, blizzard might have changed that in the last years)

My friend and I made 39 lvl pallys,we'd run each other toos to get the best gear,he got a pendulum drop which I always was jealous of,but those time were so great.

It took me years of running sfk to see it drop and I got it when only the bosses could drop the item so it was like 0.01% drop on only 4-5 mobs in the entire dungeons. I lost the loot roll to some random who had no idea what it was. He ended up giving it to me and I instantly resold it for like 25k to a twink friend

I had a Lv 19 twink with Arena Grand Master and venomstrike during Wotlk. Just logged on with him again, trinket still equipped even though I think it's not obtainable at now Lv 9 anymore.... Bags still full of healing potions, switfness potions, bandages and mana potions..
even without 100% optimal gear he was a monster bc of the trinket alone....

One thing that makes me sad about classic is that the low level PVP brackets are going to be literally 100% twinks. The whole point of having twinks back in the day was destroying all the casuals with your OP gear, but those moments will be extremely rare now and twinks will be the vast majority.

You can get honored easy if you have a high lol group killing them for you.
Roger I had a couple of really good twinks that pawned. Its really about being a good player, once your in a 20% bis gap it won't matter at this point. I didn't have anyone to grind with I just bought what was available and I received my 25k honor kills in the 3 months against twink guilds so its not required for all the Indiana Jones questing man.

any 60 can run all the way to the end and place the twink in the pool at the bottom and master loot it or group loot it to the twink. took me about 6 runs to get it.

This isnt an item but rather the Retaliation ability with warriors. I'm a level 43 warrior and have killed a level 55+ fury warrior by using it. I got his hp to below half by Retaliation swings, hit a mortal strike and then as he ran away, I intercepted and executed him . He mustve been pissed that he died by a gray level player because about 3 more level 55+ came to kill me along with him lol
