Hell yeah, I think Trunks needs a lot more love, a lot of people don't realize the psychological intricacies and depth of his character, he's also an incredible example of nurture VS Nature, since kid trunks is the same person biologically, yet due to how he was raised, he is a completely different person with different values.
trunks has and always will be my favorite. i remember watching as a 10 year old thinking "What if all my friends n fam died and i was the only one left on earth to defeat these monsters?" The thought brings chills down the spine
I dont see enough people talking about how he truly looks like Vegeta, hair aside his head shape looks EXACTLY like him. People say they all look the same without hair but its just not true,Trunks and Vegeta have proportinally larger skulls, foreheads and eyes.Goku,Gohan look more proportional His face and eye expressions too, when he gets angry you can truly see Vegeta in him. His build is also like that of a younger and less muscular Vegeta.
Future Trunks deserves EVERYTHING instead of always losing everything. He was completely hardened by the darkest timeline in Dragon Ball with the Z fighters dying from the Androids & Cell, the Supreme Kai sacrificing himself for Future Trunks to destroy Babidi & Dabura to prevent Future Majin Buu from being born, his mother Future Bulma dying at the hands of an evil Goku impostor & ultimately even though Future Trunks sliced Fused Zamasu in half, because of the Future Zamasu's immortality from the Super Dragon Balls, Zamasu consumed the future timeline & killed all the remaining survivors of future earth & Goku had to use the Zeno button to summon Zeno to erase the timeline to get rid of Zamasu. Future Trunks lost his whole timeline & is forced to live in a new timeline with another version of him. He will forever live in a ghost of a world that will never truly be his own. His no nonsense attitude & maturity of finishing off evil threats from the beginning meant absolutely nothing when faced against the Infinite power of the Super Dragon Balls
@@TopTierTrunksTimeIsNow you see it as lame but I see it as new territory for Dragon Ball. It proved that Goku & the Dragon Team do have limits & against the gods, they are weak. It shows that ultimately the gods are the end all & be all. The whole future Trunks arc was also to demonstrate how omnipotent Zeno was.
@@joshualowe959 Perhaps I am biased since Trunks is my favorite character, but... I must disagree. Zeno came out of nowhere to destroy his timeline. His timeline no longer exists and he's in one where a copy of him exists. It's like, what was the point of him defeating Zamasu with the spirit sword? Why even show him struggle and grow as a character if another Zeno is ultimately the one who finishes the job? Sure it opens up the story a bit by demonstrating the power of Zeno, but at what cost? All Trunks accomplished on his own basically no longer matters. Then they didn't even bother showing what Future Trunks' timeline now looks like. I also doubt they ever will because it's not something that would even make sense.
@@TopTierTrunksTimeIsNow the arc shows the eternal consequences of what can happen if the power of the Super Dragon Balls fall into the wrong hands AND it shows the consequences with interfering with time. Messing with time is a taboo. Whis stated this, heck, even Jaco stated this. Zamasu wanted to punish Future Trunks for commiting this taboo. But the ultimate reason why Future Trunks lost everything despite taking everything seriously & have him finish his foes on the spot, is because he is the son of VEGETA. Toriyama doesn't like Vegeta so Toriyama doesn't like Vegeta's offspring either. Back in Z Toriyama continuously made Vegeta too prideful to finish off his opponents or rush into battle unprepared to get beaten down his enemies whereas Future Trunks was very humble & aimed to finish off his opponents right away. Vegeta could not defeat any major villain whereas Future Trunks defeated all of the main villains in Z: Frieza in the present, the Androids, Cell SND Dabura & Babidi in the future which prevented future Majin Buu from being born. But while Toriyama was having fun tormenting Vegeta for being prideful, he had to curse Future Trunks somehow. Future Trunks being the only Z fighter in his timeline isn't torment enough. Ultimately, whereas Toriyama made Vegeta suffer Ls by making him prideful & ignorant, although he made Future Trunks humble & gave him Ws for making him taking things seriously & finishing off his opponents, Toriyama knees ultimately, he had to set up Future Trunks for an L unlike any other: losing everything. The bottom line was: Toriyama doesn't like the vegeta family. He made vegeta take so many Ls & never defeat a main villain, while he gave Future Trunks many Ws, but made them ultimately mean nothing when Zamasu consumed his timeline which forced present Goku to call Zeno & erase the Zamasu infected timeline. Fusion Zamasu becoming Infinite Zamasu was to justify Zamasu's immortality from the Super Dragon Balls.
The Android Saga would have been SIGNIFICANTLY more interesting if it were told from the perspective of Future Trunks, in a similar manner to Takemichi’s journey in Tokyo Revengers. Not necessarily that he was inhabiting his younger version’s body, but that every time he traveled back and forth through time - he returns to the future only to find it not changed far enough. The problem with the Android Saga is that it lacks a consistent thematic through line. Trunks is the harbinger of doom. His journey is defined by desperation. To shift Gohan into the role of protagonist, yet insist that he flippantly and irresponsibly ignore Trunks parable is one of Toriyama’s worst mistakes as a writer. It should have Trunks who helped Gohan awaken his latent potential and become the hero the Earth needed, not Goku.
Or that Trunks could've gone into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber again with Goku and Gohan so he could be properly trained and give then Gohan the resolution he needed. I'm honestly disappointed that the established relationship between Future Trunks and our Gohan wasn't explored in depth more in the show, considering that these two are the most important characters in the show where it's implied that they heavily influenced each other.
Another thing to highlight is that Trunk’s intervention against Frieza starts a domino effect where he basically creates the best time line that he could never have. Goku is present during the androids’ attack, Gero is inclined to deal with Goku himself with 19’s assistance instead of waking up 17 & 18 to trounce the Z fighters. Vegeta saves Goku and reveals that he’s a SSJ, allowing Goku to survive the heart virus miraculously. Gero gets desperate and awakens 17 & 18, but because Goku isn’t dead yet, they’re not inclined to kill the Z fighters yet. They do, however, feel inclined to wake up 16, who ends up not only giving 17 & 18 a shot at turning away from mass murder before they kill Goku but also gives Gohan the nudge he needs to channel his rage into SSJ2. By saving Goku, Trunks not only gave Gohan a chance to unlock his potential and be the hero he couldn’t be in the Future, but he gave the androids hope to go against their sinister purpose. He also gives Krillin hope by pulling 18😝 THAT’S THE LIGHT OF WILLPOWER!
The reason why Trunks has such admiration for Goku is due to living up to the legend. Also, bcuz of Future Gohan. Gohan carried himself like Goku in his time. Trunks sees "Gohan in Goku" vice versa.
What I loved about the future trunks arc is a try and make it like a horror movie when he’s being chased by the androids, even though he is a superman with God likes speed and ability😂
I think it's really interesting to see the difference in personality between Future Trunks and Kid Trunks. I feel like Kid Trunks in some instances acts like Vegeta while Future Trunks is more level headed.
I wanna believe that after DBZ and the Future Majin Buu Saga, he would’ve lived happily and no Goku Black shit. Or he would’ve become Xeno Trunks, idk anything that gives him a happy life.
Even though that didn't happen, I still think it's pretty cool how Vegeta helped Gohan defeat cell during the Kamehameha Beam clash. That final scene really showed how much Vegeta cares about Trunks and the other Z fighters.
I think both Trunks have similarities. Both are quite emotional. Its just that Future Trunks is more practical, straight to the point and serious And Present Trunks is more arrogant and careless. In Super we see a Future Trunks mature, confident and someone who has different relationship with Vegeta.

That's cuz he was raised by Bulma alone and mentored by Future Gohan, the two most level headed characters of the show before Buu saga.
