By saving Goku, Trunks not only gave Gohan a chance to unlock his potential and be the hero he couldn’t be in the Future, but he gave the androids hope to go against their sinister purpose. He also gives Krillin hope by pulling 18😝 THAT’S THE LIGHT OF WILLPOWER!

Gohan was obviously stronger than Goku back then and also Goku had stamina problems. One important factor: immortal body or mortal body. Immortal body would give Goku a little more edge, but he still would be weaker like two tiers at least. Gohan vs. Super Buu (1 round) was going easy on him and he was testing his new power. He got serious against Buutenks.

I think the biggest blow to vegetas ego had to be that ass whoopin he got from 18 or maybe perfect cell.

I believe cell sensed that vegeta could go up a notch in raw strength which is why he schooled trunks that vegeta knew about this as well. The Dialogue between cell and trunks is the writers way of telling us that vegeta knew better.

I agree with nearly everything you said. One part that you said was completely not true. Because if it were true it would make the power levels and the power scaling of perfect cells super perfect cell Dabura in the Buu arc, false. You cannot in one breath saying go Han lost a considerable amount of power, then make the villain he’s fighting equal to the villain he is no longer stronger than Nora comparable to. Gohan lost over 2/3 of his power double. He is a weakling compared to his cell seven years prior. So then when you say so go on did not train for seven years straight all the power he had or accumulated with Goku in the hyperbolic time chamber he lost out on all of that. And then the only thing he had was nine or 10 days of training with Goten while he wasn’t able to fully train for those nine or 10 days because he had to teach Fidel how to fly so I’m not saying Gohan definitely didn’t get stronger because he did. However he is nothing in comparison to his former self seven years prior. And the reason why the stance through the test of time, is because if you were to have 16 Gohan versus nine year Gohan, nine your Gohan mudstomps his 16 year old self. Why? Go Han stop training for seven years straight. 10 days worth of training can make up for it in that time. But Gohan is not a battle genius he doesn’t know how to get that strong in that short amount of time without guidance or help from a veteran fighter such a Piccolo Goku or even Tienshinhan Yamcha or Krillin. Gohan‘s battle intellect and wisdom is not on par with the veterans I just named. It’s not even close. The only thing Gohan can rely on is his inner potential which equates to his inner rage that boy is over. But it’s not his saving grace every time. Go on became so weak he couldn’t even he probably wasn’t even 1/3 the power level of Perfect Cell.. So whatever rage Boosie got was minimal versus fat boo. That is a testament to how we can go Harvey came due to not training for seven years straight. We witnessed a fatigued Orange Piccolo vs Cell Max. By the time Piccolo goes giant to fight Cell Max, he was already weakened by multiple fights with Gamma 2, Cell Max, and his training earlier that day. Him giving up his Senzu bean was actually a big deal that people strangely overlook. The fight would’ve been different had Piccolo taken it to recover his full strength vs giving it to Gohan. Instead, he went up against Cell Max in a visibly exhausted state. And he still managed to hold him still for the Makkankosappo, all with no Senzu.

I don’t understand why Gotenks wasn’t used more he surpassed Vegeta when they were young going super sayin 3. You’d think as they got older their power would increase as well and pose a serious threat. Wasted if you ask me lol I just thought is my was awesome.

In the back of his mind, Vegeta must be picking up on the b.s. and approaching the idea that some larger force (Toriyama) is intentionally keeping him from experiencing the gains he should've actually gotten from his ridiculous training regimen. Some of the explanations for how Goku stays ahead are pretty out there. Listening to the explanations of Goku's superiority is like hearing scientists come out and say "It turns out Hulk Hogan was right, taking your vitamins and saying your prayers is the optimal method to strength!"

This is still hugely speculative. Vegeta runs his mouth like a hood rat, you can't take much of what he says at face-value, including his inner dialogue. As we have seen more than once, lower levels of transformation can match or surpass higher levels. Gohan's training stagnated for so long that it stands to reason that he may have lost the ability to tap into his true power. In fact, we know Gohan is at his best when he gets angry, which he never really is during the Buu saga. Meanwhile, Vegeta has trained non-stop, like he always does. But we know that his training is _never_ as effective as Vegeta wants it to be, for various reasons. So he may have found a way to go beyond Gohan's SSJ2 power with his SSJ1. He may even have fooled himself into believing he had reached SSJ2, wouldn't be the first time he got that wrong. We're also talking about the guy who severely underestimates his opponents and severely overestimates himself like it's his job. Again, can't take his words at face-value.

Vegeta the real main character, Goku was just the facilitator to bring him into the story. Goku might always be the one to get the plot armor power up, but tell me how developed Vegeta is vs Goku and then you realize the truth; Vegeta is the real protagonist, not Kakarot. I sincerely wish at some point Vegeta truly does surpass Goku for once and then Vegeta gets to realize something he didn't even know was possible. No more is he the Prince of all Saiyans... Yeah he was. Vegeta could go Grade 3 or at least knew about it but he was smart enough to see its weaknesses. Some say Vegeta didn't know because he didn't say anything but he did know. When Goku and Gohan leave the chamber Trunks asks if they would transform to a higher form when they start fighting but Vegeta scolds him for not learning from his mistakes and not realizing there is more to a fight then raw power showing he clearly knew Trunks used Grade 3.

The only scaling by the end of buu saga that makes Vegito>kid buu>SSJ3 Goku>Buhan>Butenks>mystic Gohan>ssj3 Gotenks>super buu>fat buu>Ssj2 goku≥ssj2majin vegeta.

I think it's really interesting to see the difference in personality between Future Trunks and Kid Trunks. I feel like Kid Trunks in some instances acts like Vegeta while Future Trunks is more level headed.
