    This mod is excellent for 86-93+ EFI Mustangs w/ Mild Mods, Turbochargers, superchargers and even NITROUS fox bodys. This video is for the wiring upgrade in your fox body mustang. It also includes a modification for your factory hangar in tank to run this wiring upgrade too. Rather running an Aeromotive 340, Walbro 255 or Even a magnafuel 750 it don't matter. This is a way to get more power to your pump. LONG video but full of info. EDIT In the video I said "liquid per hour" LPH stands for Liters Per Hour.. I said one thing meant another....

    Neo, this video saved me. Just installed a 340lph pump and have the upgraded wiring kit but was a bit lost on how to wire it in without replacing the top hat. If all I have to do is modify the top hat, I’m happy. Thanks.

    I'm super grateful for this video Neo! This resolved my fuel pressure drop I was having with anything over 8PSI on my Turbo 347 with a walbro 400. Fuel Pressure would drop into low 40s before and after the upgrade I'm sitting at a solid 55PSI at 11# of boost.

    • @Neomustangs
      @Neomustangs  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      why use a boost a pump? I dont think i would use it. If you don't have the sufficient fuel flow you should ramp up the fuel system. Boost a pump for whatever reason dont work it will send the tune lean which is not good.

      Yep. I would prefer it go to the back of the alternator but for the sake of running the wire somewhere I don’t want it I’m just gonna run it to the four gauge that goes to the back of the alternator. I haven’t ran that wire yet but I explained that

  • @TheNote408
    @TheNote408 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I bought the aeromotive stealth 340 fuel pump but there is a pigtail that is molded into the top of the fuel with 16 gauge wire seems the only way to do that mod would be to cut the 16ga wires and solder them to the 10ga but that doesn't make sense did they redesign the top of the fuel pump although there are two little silver what looks to be positive and negative females where you can plug a male bullet connector into each one but they're very shallow so I don't see that working any suggestions.

      I went ahead and went the easy route and bought the aeromotive fuel pump wire upgrade kit. Yes its over priced and i could have made it myself alot cheaper, but it is a nice harness. Today i installed it. I drilled out the connector like you did and open the holes slightly with a stepper drill. Everything worked like a charm. If anyone is doubting this mod or dont think its worth the hassle, it is very much worth it! My car with the 340 stealth pump, holley 48lb injectors was dropping fuel pressure from 67pounds at 5100rpm 6.5 psi boost to 36 to 40 pounds of fuel and 7.8 ish psi boost at 5500. Duty cycles were 100% to 110%. These 48s shouldnt have been nowhere near 100% on my set up. So after i finished the 10 gauge wire upgrade i did a data log and wow!!! At 6,000 rpm my fuel pressure was 60psi at 8.0 psi boost with 84% injector duty cycle. The rest of my fuel system is stock 1993 5.0..thanks again man! This shit works!!!! Lol

All of a sudden about 1k miles later the pump won’t prime with less than about 4-5 gallons In the tank Basically I have to run a half tank of gas minimum. -About a foot of10an to the filter and pump then -8an to the front. I’m debating using a fuel injection tank and figuring out how to regulate it down to 6.5 psi for the carb. Or a fuel cell In the spare tire well ?? I changed the pump cleaned the filters and it’s all new stainless fuel line. Any ideas or help would be great.

    What type of wire are you using?? Just regular 10 or is it Teflon insulated 10??

  • @travisevans7502
    @travisevans7502 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you use any specific wire safe for submerging in fuel and without termination at the hanger hat is there a chance of fuel wicking up the wire I am planning to upgrade my wiring and seen people debating on this some people say they have had no problems others said it's a ticking time bomb I'm leaning towards termination and fuel safe wire I'm sure it gets blown out of proportion though.

    • @Neomustangs
      @Neomustangs  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't worry about the wires. I have ran this mod in many cars for years. I secure the wires to the hangar they don't move at all. What would be the difference with wires submerged with a cannon plug attached to the pump? They would still get exposed? Nah youll be fine.

      @@Neomustangs If you have done it for years then sounds like it safe. I was doing a little research on upgrading the power supply and the only info I could find was you're video and a discussion in a forum and I have a hard time trusting any information in most forums because so often the people in there don't even have any real experience they're just repeating something someone else told them and they haven't even tried it they're sell to see if it works.

      @@travisevans7502 Its why I mentioned in my video to secure the wires and connections well. The wires on a factory pump and even aftermarket connections are submerged in fuel to. THey harden over time but they all do. THe plastic hardens up. Ziptie the connections, the wires to the hangar and such extra securing them for no movement.

      Roger Carlin the hangar he’s talking about. The hangar output is 3/8 on an sn95 hangar. It’s not 5/16 like a fox is. They are both 1/4 return.

      1/4 return will not flow 340lph and will cause a restriction. This will not let the fuel pressure regulator do its job.
