Any opinions or comments on the stock fuel hat return line being too small for these bigger pumps and causing aeration and cavitation in the tank? As in pro-m racing videos?
Can you do a tutorial or video on a good boost reference and where'd you hook your Boost gauge to and show us how you did it for some of us that don't know that are trying to learn and do things on our own that would be a great video for us
It really needs a bigger hat with lines with that pump. I did the same pump, with Pro M hat/hanger, earl’s vapor guard 3/8” (or -6) line going front to back with rails and regulator. Not the braided bling, but very easy to finish.
You can get stainless steel metal ties that function much like zip ties but more robust especially to fuel. They use em for header wrap for instance. And I don’t know what the pump draws for current but definitely keep an eye on that wiring. I’ve seen some melted stuff right inside tanks with similar setups no joke. I any case I love what you’re doing so keep it up brother!
Did you experience any cavitation with the 450? I was about to put a holley 525 in and read that people had to use a voltage regulator/limiter to stoo cavitation. If you haven't gone through that i might just get the 450 you put in. Thanks
I was just typing that NEO is going to pop your chops about not upgrading that wiring! :-) Good to know there is at least one more option after the 340!
🔔😎 Being an aircraft mechanic I would have used stainless safety wire instead of zip ties. Plastic varies. These might not be as good as what you had years ago. 🤔
Really nice, if you ain't rigging you ain't trying. You have to do what you have to. The haters for sure don't even work on their own stuff. Can't wait to see some really hard pulls out of her.
Ok so I could basically add any fuel pump to the old sending unit and it will fit just fine? I’m in the market to begin replacing the entire fuel system
Did that mod on my fox about a year ago but with a 535 lph walbro pump. Great budget mod to get you as much fuel as a stock block will possibly need and i was on e85.
@@TheModAddict time , heat will deteriorate them. I use stainless hose clamps , I put a Kenso 340lph pump from flea bay in my coupe , been in car for 3 years
99% of Zipties are Nylon. Nylon is chemical and gas resistant. Do yall realize the endcap of the fuel pump is plastic? When i replaced the fuel pump in my truck it had zipties on it. I had to cut them off. They was 20+ years old.
That 450 pump is still pumping 450 anytime it's running, idle or 7000 rpm. That small gauge wire is ....... 😳😳 That electric load is still going through that stock FP relay, fuse, and small feed wire. 🤔🤔
Oh boy. Tiny wires. Stock hat. Zip ties. Yikesss. Quantom makes a hanger to fit this pump with bigger wiring and an fittings. A couple of adapters would allow it to mate to stock lines.
Brew pumping that much do you need a larger return line than 5/16 srock one ? As you demoed fuel return line backin' up becomes a regulator itself. I need one for my walb 250 so ...
Do fox body tanks have baffling inside? I just made the same mod to my F150 fuel pump. The 450 is too large to fit into the original plastic pump housing so I scrapped the plastic. Then I had starvation issues when the fuel level got low due to sloshing around. I had to weld in some baffling to keep the pump constantly fed with fuel! The 450 fixed my low pressure under boost issue though.
How do you feel if the pick up of that pump is still 1/2 should ya go for a 3/4" that's alot of fuel your trying to move...? No? Or is it about pressure then?
Not being a dick I promise. The wiring upgrade aside, you admitted it and it won't support the 450 on factory wires. My question is that "S" hose. What's the max that iddy bitty hose will flow? I can't imagine it can keep up? The stealth 340 comes two ways, one has braided lines to keep up with the pump. You think that little hose can keep up?
This car is pure sex. Can you explain the hose of the anderson power pipe with what looks like a blow off valve. I have a si v3 unit and none of that is there
Details on the wiring diagram you made would be helpful
u aint riggin u aint riddin
I always put clear nail polish on electrical splices in fuel tanks to fluid proof them.
Gasoline (and oil) is an insulator. Does not conduct electricity.
Great catch on the high pressure spike and how to look for it!
Quantum sells the 450lph and the -8 -6 hat as a combo.. no mods needed

People will differ on opinions here but I always stay as close to the throttle body as I can. But ultimately anywhere on the intake will work.
Carbon fox sounds amazing

Pro M hanger for the win

Just ordered some stuff from LMR! Thanks for the link and I hope it supports the channel!🦊
Beast mode pumping out these videos!
If you ain’t riggin you ain’t ridin 💯 Great mod Brother! Heck of an upgrade!! That is awesome!! 💪🏾👊🏾
Zip ties and duct tape!!!!💪💪💪💪
@@jasonhastings5538 We do what we gotta do Bro.
Nice!
I just recently upgraded my fuel pump to a deatschwerks 440 and it went great. Good pump.
I bought the quantum 450lph with the upgraded -8 -6 an hat.. get that upgraded hat ..
I agree, you won’t be able to control the fuel pressure, it’ll always be higher than it should.

You still goofed my dude!! You shouldve gone 525 walbro
I went with the Holley 525 pump and hat for my turbo car no problems with it

Plastic varies. These might not be as good as what you had years ago. 🤔
The quest to make more money always leads to compromising your quality standards. Hope them zip ties weren't made in Germany.
Old zipties was plastic..but 99% of todays zipties are Nylon. Nylon is fuel and chemical resistant.

BREW2L: Yes
Same thing I did with my walbro 450. Love this build as it is very close to mine. Other then I'm running a liberty faceplated tko 600.
Content banging!
That’s a good pump, Brother 👍

Nice, can't wait to see the next vid out running around, going to be fun to see!
Maybe u should upgrade lines, I feed 550hp efi on a lot less with -10 lines
Good stuff man !!!
What fuel pressure regulator is that
An investment in some insulation for that ceiling would be a nice upgrade for the channel.
Can the Zip ties deteriorate with the fuel? Just a question for a new guy to Foxbody. Thank you for your channel 🙂
Nah. Nylon is fuel and chemical resistant.

Gas weakens the zip ties. I'd hose clamp it. May last for ever what do I know.

Plastic zips in gas? I'm no mechanic but that doesn't look like they would last very long but I could be wrong.
100 different grades of zip ties. I'd never trust them. Stainless safety wire.
Bro that’s a walbro 450 not aeromotive
I just put one in my tank two days ago. Was able to get a hose clamp around the hanger though
I thought the carbon fox was just supposed to be a chill daily driver? What happened? Lol

Dont splice the wire hook it straight to the connection at the stud.
