Just so everyone knows, regular braided rubber hose has a shelf life, so they do start to leak over time (5 years for me). Also with the regular rubber lines, you’ll have gas vapors go through the line and make your garage smell like a gas station. It seems to happen to most people, but now a days people just buy the PTFE stuff (which has its own fittings, so plan ahead). I used earls -6 vapor guard lines recently on the Saleen, real budget minded. Keep up the good work!
This is the exact reason why I refuse to use Steel Braid anymore. PTFE or 'good' Push Lock (Parker) gets the job done without the fuel smell in the garage.
My poor blown fox has been sitting for years due to this. Aeromotive stated their kit could run ethanol containing fuel. Just pump gas. Little did I know. When I get ready to tackle the fuel system again I'll use ptfe coated lines. This shit ruined my project. Now I get to re buy new pump regulator and lines.
And for those who want a 450lph fuel pump with a upgraded-8 -6 hat combo.. Quantum sells one.. think it's 280.00ish.. it comes assembled already.. no cutting.. etc..I got one for my coupe back when it was a 408w..
Have that hanger in my car with -6 ptfe hose. Same fuel rails. I upgraded the wire size almost all the way to the factory plug and have it straight off the battery through a relay triggered by the Holley.
Quantum fuel systems makes a very affordable hanger and pump set with AN fittings and 6 of 8 size and upgraded wires I'm sure it's cheaper then Holley or pro M stuff
Brother you can definitely fit a hose clamp especially now that you made the opening bigger. I got a clamp on my 450 and a little tiny wrinkle on the opening
I cut the tank opening a bit more than you did but I started with a new tank so it was easy to catch and/or clean out chips from grinding the opening. With that I was easily able to fit the Pro-M hanger with hose clamps and either a Ti/Walbro or DW400 pump.
Bro did u remove ur fuel pulse damper its a circle silver flying suacer looking thing its by the fuel rails on the lines on passenger side not the fuel pressure regulator anyway im trying to upgrade to the pro m racing hanger for my 525 but idk where to mount that sensor if i go an that’s gonna need to be removed
Several years ago I put on a complete aeromotive system on my 90 blown gt 331 stroker. I had all kinds of leaks. Ethanol ate my lines and injectors up after very little running. I got pissed off and walked away. I'm ready to redo my system with Teflon PTFE lined hose. Did you use ptfe lines? Thanks. Car looks great
Man nice video! I wish I had you close to help me get my car running. I’m literally ready to sell it off because I can’t get it right. So frustrating 🤬🤬🤬
That's how I like my fuel system 👍simple. Many builds overcomplicate the line routing at the rails. I've even used a T to the regulator before the rails and works fine. Some may argue but a regulator just bleeds fuel pressure off. It can be hooked up many ways if you think about it for a moment. 👍my two cents 😉
Nice job! I did similar but am still using stock fuel rails and pressure regulator. I put in the -6 hanger, -6 send and -6 return lines all the way up and back.
Did it make a difference? I think I’m running out of fuel rail and line. Running a 340 pumps upgraded wiring, 60lb injectors on a 95. Up top it seems to be starving. Estimated 520-550 wheel horsepower
Routing fuel that close to exhaust without a way to cool your fuel is gonna bite ya, I think. Heat soak, and air bubbles from a possible boil at idle for too long?
I just bought a Pro-M hanger with 6 an fittings Saturday and Last month I bought Aeromotive Fuel rails, Aeromotive Fuel pressure regulator. (All used) I Also bought some Phenix AN fittings but unfortunately they are currently lost at USPS so hopefully I’ll get them soon. I’ve been looking for the hose (6an) that isn’t $$$. How many feet of the 6an did you buy? Both feed & return? Do you have links? Did my video skip or did I miss something? I seen you put the one line on and said something about the intake and then I walk back from the refrigerator and your starting it lol. I was expecting to see the other line, fuel pressure regulator, the AN fittings? Is this going to be on the next video?
i use battery cable cutters for the fuel line.
Good idea!

Don’t need safety glasses, if you use safety squints.
I’ve used those a few times. Lol
I love everything pro-m

I got a clamp on my 450 and a little tiny wrinkle on the opening
By the way the fuel system upgrade is perfect. Think I’ll do the same setup
I could with the factory hanger. But not with the pro-m

Can get stainless steel ties off Amazon just in case e85 eats up the plastic ties.
I have SS zip ties in my tool box. The issue is you can’t get them tight enough to hold the pump securely.
@@BREW2LFOXBODY had the same issue. Had to get the tool to tighten mine.
love the pro m hanger, put it in my vert with a 525 pump, was tight but it fits! keep up the awesome work!

Where do you get the AN line and fittings?
Summit

You're not alone I feel the same way about my cars
I wish I could help more people brother. But I got faith in y’all
Does it just crank over?
@@brighton1931 yes until it gets warm. Then it’ll start and run rough for a minute then seems to clear up and run decent
Nice job where did you install fuel filter. Also they make same hanger with a -8 feed & -6 return if you still need more.
Looks good Brother! Great work.. .You made it look easy...
Thank ya 🙏
Very informative as always, thanks for sharing. Now time for me to go back to the drawing board with my build. As always 😍 the channel🙌🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾

Agreed 💯
Anytime "simple" and "budget" is in the mix..you have my interest.

Ten pounds of beans
😆😆😆😆👍👍
I used ptfe hose so I can run E85 .
I did this same setup 2 years ago.

@@Bacongrease00 I'd say your prime for fuel delivery upgrade, I'd go -8 send and return with upgraded rails at your power level.

What fuel filter are you running?
-6 Summit filter
WoW it’s a metal gas tank. I never seen that anymore because it’s cheaper to go plastic.
If you’re running a straight feed from the tank to the fuel rails, do you not have a fuel filter for your fuel system?
In addition, make sure you don’t use a cheapie filter that negates the -6 size, check the flow (normally want it to flow twice as good as your lines).
What do you think about the holley fuel hat??
They are good but it’s the same -6 feed and return size. The pro-m is just as capable imo for less money.
Great looking set up!
Should of just did the Holley 525 LPH Fuel Pump and hanger part #12-347 and been done no modification to tank or bracket.
I'm gonna have to get a fuel injection car someday...mabe next year I can get 1.
Stay carb… lol
Huh.. i thought deadhead was having the regulator before rails
Nice job, A much needed upgrade to a serious fuel system, i think the Carbon Fox will be very happy, really nice install looks clean.
Routing fuel that close to exhaust without a way to cool your fuel is gonna bite ya, I think. Heat soak, and air bubbles from a possible boil at idle for too long?
Not at the header, but towards the rear. Normal car maybe, but that’s a big blower.
The blower does get hot but I think it’s fine behind it. I’ll keep check on it though.
@@BREW2LFOXBODY I mean the extra boost raising exhaust temps back by the tank where the lines run real close.
Typically how much power can a -6 fuel set up support?
I don’t have that answer honestly..
I like it buddy!!!
Is a fuel regulator required on a carb setup?🦊
Yes

I tried running those same fuel rails and couldn't get enough clearance on the driver's side, between the fuel rail and the distributor.
No thanks with gas prices going up again soon. The super gas 🐖 302 becomes the gas razor back relives again.
